Kalin Excavation just had a crew show up to 27602 N Monroe Rd. and ask to come thru my gate to get to another property. I said no because it isnt thru my gate. They waited until my mom and I left and tried to go thru. Luckily I have a padlock. I offered to let the guy turn around and when i opened the gate he gunned it trying get down to the other property. I ran and cut him off almost getti g rannover when he sped up again.

These guys where great. They put a new sewer in at my place. They were experts. I was very pleased. I give them a 10.

I did not use them. Their estimate was 11k over the next three that were within a grand of each other. They all explained the same process of getting it done. If he didn't want the work, he should have just said so. 11 grand is way more than fair mark up would have been. To me he was trying to take advantage of my situation. If you're going to use them, get multiple estimates to keep them honest.

It was you guys. JB Davis came and did the bid.

Second time I have used them for collapsing pipes. This one was a commercial building. They were able to start at the close of business as to not interrupt the businesses involved. The next day, all I saw was a 16x16 inch patch of new concrete and some very minor sheet rock work to be done. Just a great company that delivers with a good price and no hassle.

I have never been more impressed with a company! JB came to check out the job, called me with a quote, we scheduled date and time. Guess what!! They were on time and the crew were friendly and professional. I can not give this company enough praise. They cleaned up when done and now I can relax and not worry about another sewer back up!!!
AA++ for JB and my crew! Thank you

kalin excavating went above and beyond any expectation we could have had !!! JB came in and gave his opinion, used the camera after another company couldn't get past a certain point and was very honest with what was happening. We used who he recommended to hydroblast the pipe, and then he came back and looked
At what the pipe result was....
He was able to fit us into the schedule very quickly. When he and the team arrived to do the actual pipe replacement ( trenchless ) they were all friendly, let our kids watch, finished the project in a day, and cleaned everything up. Super super impressed ! Turned a crappy situation ( literally ) into a good one. Thank you !!!!

I have used Kalin for sewer replacement jobs multiple times. The whole crew is great. Mike and Demitre, in particular, show true pride in their work and it shows. I will continue to use Kalin for further work and request those two whenever I can. Thanks guys!

they installed a 100 ft liner and everything went great, other companies said they couldnt even do a liner that long. Kalin did it no problem. My neighbor used them as well and was happy.

JB from Kalin came out to my place to run a camera down our main line since we had been backing up with no luck snaking. He ran his camera and told me how I could temporarily fix the issue ON MY OWN for about $20 or so. He then said the camera was free of charge and to just give him a call when I was ready to replace the main line... You can bet I will call them.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, Kalin Excavating replaced a broken sewer line at our home in northwest Spokane. They arrived at 8:00 am with a crew of 3: Frank, Dakota and Colton. The method used was pipe bursting. This involved bringing a backhoe into the back yard, digging a 7 foot deep hole to access the point where the sewer line came out of the house next to the foundation. The size of this hole was 3-4 feet in diameter. Then Colton cut out a 2-3 foot section of the old sewer pipe. Meanwhile, Dakota and Frank cut and removed a section of the asphalt in the alley over the main line. They proceeded to dig a 9-10 foot hole to reach the point where the sewer line met the main city line. Dakota then cut out a short section of the old pipe at that point. Next they began the process of using specialized equipment to pull a new 4 inch pipe through the old sewer line. They then connected the new pipe at both ends, the city inspectors inspected the job, and when the city gave its approval, Frank began backfilling. When they had filled the holes, they cleaned up and were gone by 5:30 that afternoon. There was so little damage to our yard, we could barely tell that a backhoe had been in there. They came back the next morning and asphalted the portion of the alley they had torn up.
Throughout the entire process, all 3 men were very professional, very detail oriented and efficient. They obviously knew their jobs. Frank was a master with the backhoe, going around the electrical line, gas line, and sprinkler lines. They were very concerned about worker safety and took necessary precautions to ensure safety. We highly recommend all three of them and Kalin Excavating without reservation.

I want to thank JB for his professionalism, work ethic, and his kindness this morning with our water line break. I have been dealing with a few companies to get the main water line to my house fixed since 2 Sept. with no action. I called this morning and was told the project manager would call me back. JB called me back and said he'd be here in 20 minutes. He arrived quickly assessed the break in the water line, and had it fixed in a few minutes. I can't thank him enough. Rich Watson

Was just almost driven off the road by this entitled owner on Country Homes Blvd where it narrows to one lane. We were at the light there with Wall I believe. I drive a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ, very small. He was in full trailer mode. I was in the correct left lane to go straight before the lane ends. He was in the right hand lane and made no attempt to slow down there were cars in front of me in cars behind me. He literally almost smashed me into the side because no blinker, no waiting. He just felt that his big flatbed and his trailer deserved to be in the right hand lane and move over whenever he wanted. When I honked on the off chance he couldn’t see my bright red Jeep, he stuck his hand out and flew me the finger. The car behind me also waved in shock. I also exchanged information with that person as a witness.
For a business owner to be so blatant, not to mention gladly flip me off in his company truck tells you what kind of ethics he has. When you are driving a rig that big and that long you need to be in the proper lane well before. It’s not like trying to merge in the space of one car. He is dangerous, entitled and ill mannered. Stay away.

I called and scheduled an appointment with JB.
He came out looked at the job said he would give me a price quote (Bid to do the work) And I never heard from him again!!
I called multiple times and left multiple messages and he refused to return my calls.
I never received a price or description of work to be done or a call back.
Very unprofessional. And if they wouldn’t even give a price to do the work or return my phone calls or explain to me why I question the quality of work that they would do or even complete a job if they got an excepted proposal from a bid I never received.

    Very frustrating and unprofessional!!!

We got some misinformation about what we needed to do to fix an issue with our sewer line kalin got out to us earlier than expected and got us in contact with a company who could do what we needed. The crew was great and super knowledgeable , I would definitely recommend these guys!

Could not be more satisfied with the work of Kalin Excavation. Had our orangeburg piping replaced. The whole crew was polite, took every step to make sure I was aware of what was going on, and worked extremely hard to get the job done correctly. JB quoted me thousands less than other companies, and stuck to the original quote even when the job ended up being more complicated than expected. Thank you!

What a great experience. The process of having them come was great. JB started it out. Great experience but when it can to the Job itself Dakota- fantastic and so positive even when it was ended up being even more difficult - he and Luke were above and beyond with customer support and service. Recommend this company- if you are not sure. Have your lines checked for orange burg and if you have it call Kalin and get it changed .

Ask for JB , Dakota and Luke

I just had Kalin scope my sewer line. Fast, efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. And I don't have Orangeburg!

My initial call was answered by JB in his truck -- ( so my repair wouldn't be paying for maintaining an office and staff - that's good) and I had a bid later in the day of his prompt, FREE initial inspection. Kalin's bid was LESS THAN HALF of big name competitor's bid. My neighbor's offer to rent a backhoe and do it on the cheap sounded tempting -- but I had peace of mind, confident that Kalin would quickly deal with permits, finding the other utility lines, and be able to make good decisions WHATEVER they found digging up my plugged sewer that was installed in 1906.

The bid included possibilities of finding trouble at the stub - end of the sewer pipe, so no surprises were in store for me. As it happened, at an unexpected "Y" in the middle of the yard - Kalin had the capability to run a camera to the end of the line - AND hydro-jet out this section of the pipe.
Only half the trenching (the only appropriate technology for my situation - that they had the capacity and experience to know) needed to be done as in the bid. Would they pass along this good fortune? Or perhaps the additional unforeseen hydro-jetting would absorb it?

The plumbing was restored to full functionality the first (short )day. An hour into the next working day after the snowstorm on the weekend - the yard was restored to my satisfaction - including replacing in the ground an unfortunate flowering shrub that had been carefully set aside -- and an ornamental giant rock. The 100 year old grape was fortunately completely spared! And my final bill? I SAVED $1000 on the original bid!
I would totally recommend Kalin Excavating to anyone with a plugged sewer -- competence- integrity- capability - and a real human touch!

Kalin Excavating was recommended to me by the folks over at Action Drain to replace the sewer pipe at my house. Due to house construction this required jack-hammering the basement floor, excavating down to the pipe in the yard and pulling the new pipe from outside to the basement. I could not be happier with the work. It went smoothly, certainly more efficiently than I had imagined, by 5 pm the new pipe was in, connected, basement floor patched, hole filled in outside and new sod down. Dakota, Colton, and a third gent whose name escapes me were a pleasure to work with, hopefully I will never need this service again but I'd not hesitate to contact Kalin for needs of this sort. Very happy!!
