Constraction reviews in Mercer Island, Washington

5 stars start to finish. I'm a DIY guy for most things around the house because I don't trust other people to do things as though they have to live with it forever (and I enjoy most projects). My wife found Optima and brought them in for a bid on a small fence/gate and a custom enclosure and gate under our deck. The bid process was so smooth, pleasant, easy, and professional. The quote seemed fair, so we pulled the trigger. They came out two days later and knocked out the whole thing. Worked around our sprinkler system, rockery, shrubs, etc. and I am blown away by the quality of materials used and craftsmanship. Their fencepost strategy is the best I've seen for this climate, absolutely brilliant. The new gates are smooth like buttah. They tied into our existing deck and concrete beautifully. And when they cleaned up they even took time to spray the sawdust off of our driveway where they were making cuts. This is the kind of value you get when you hire true experts in their craft. Thanks Optima!

They are 5-star company. George explained to me all the fencing options, showed samples and gave useful advice to meet property needs. They worked fast, and their quality of work and materials is high. I highly recommend this team.

We had a great experience with Optima Fence and Deck for our fence replacement (first two pictures are from after, last three pictures are from before), after recent storms had knocked down one of the sections beyond repair. The entire process from initial contact to project completion only took about a week: I contacted them on a Wednesday, they came out to assess the job the next day, our project got on the schedule for the following Tuesday, and the replacement itself took two days.

Roman did a thorough job assessing the project and prepared a competitive quote. Yakov and his crew worked really hard to complete the project quickly -- I was honestly impressed they were able to do this in two days! The completed fence looks much sturdier and more beautiful than our original fence. Thank you!

These guys did an amazing job! From first meeting with Oleg explaining my vision, all the way through execution, Optima Fence & Deck were professional, on time, and dedicated to making sure I was happy with the final product. I’m a stickler for details, and these guys delivered! At one point we realized that some material was missing from the supplier, Oleg went to the shop, addressed the issue and came back right away to make sure the team was able to finish the project on time. I also appreciated that there were no surprises from the original quote. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend the Optima Fence team. It was a great experience, from the beginning with a very competitive estimate provided by Mark to the fence install with the Foreman José, and Eugene. They were timely, organized, efficient and friendly. They answered all my questions! They worked a long day to finish the project. They are definitely the company to call if you need a new fence.

Highly recommend Optimal Fence and Deck. Ilya, Andrey and his crew replaced my old fences and my neighbors’ within only 4 days. The new fences are truly professionally built and look great!

These guys are fantastic! The sales associate Ivan came out after promptly scheduling to give us a quote and offered to match or beat any other quotes but this was not necessary as the quote that they gave us was already better than any other quotes we received. They also gave us the option to finance through a third party at 0% for 24 months which we did because there really wasn’t any reason not to. The workers were great and very considerate of our busy schedules and did their best to finish quickly while also focusing on quality. The end result is wonderful! See the attached images.

I had a fantastic experience with this team! Ilya, the sales associate, promptly scheduled a visit to provide a quote and even offered to match or beat other quotes. Yakov, the foreman, and his crew were exceptional—they worked efficiently without compromising on quality. The end result is nothing short of wonderful! Check out the attached images to see for yourself.

We also hired them for a smaller project, and once again, they delivered. Jose and his crew showed up on time and completed the job with the same level of professionalism and care.

We recently had our fence and gate installed, and I couldn’t be happier with the work! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and very detail-oriented. They communicated clearly throughout the process, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were completely satisfied with the results.

The quality of the fence and gate is excellent—sturdy, well-built, and it looks fantastic. They worked efficiently, kept the area clean, and delivered everything exactly as promised.

I can’t say enough good things about Optima fence and deck. They were an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. I was impressed with Ilya who came to give us an estimate. He was so good at explaining things and giving us ideas. They were able to take down the old fence, haul it away and put up the new fence in one day. And it’s beautiful. Andrey and two other young men worked their tails off and we are so very impressed with them. Thank you so much for making getting a new fence an enjoyable experience.

We had a wood fence installed by Optima Fence and Deck and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The estimate process really stood out — they took the time to ask detailed questions about our needs, priorities, and budget so we could choose the right fence without feeling oversold.

Once the project started, the crew worked quickly and efficiently while still paying close attention to quality. Everything was completed faster than expected and the finished fence looks fantastic and feels solid and well built.

Great communication, fair pricing, and professional work all around. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a new fence or deck.

The team at Optima has been top notch in all phases of the project. Ilya provided a detailed quote complete with a blueprint for project, lots of photos, and great reference materials for the fence and railing options we selected. He understood our concerns about durability and style and offered great solutions and options.

Jose and crew did outstanding work on the project. Demolition of the prior fence was speedy and cleanup and disposal were thorough. Jose was diligent in checking in with a variety of design and practical choices (spacing of slats, how to handle elevation changes) and was a delight to talk to. When we were not around, he did a great job of showing us photos and videos to make sure we were pleased with the project. Overall workmanship has been excellent, and we are thrilled with the result. Optima has been one of the best contractors we’ve used in our 15 years in this house.

Entire experience with Optima was stellar. Received quote on a Sunday and my fence was built by the following Wednesday. Jose and his crew were incredible in putting in 2 gates, an arbor, and the fence all in one day. They left yard spotless and Jose was wonderful to communicate with. Thank you to the whole crew!

Our house is a corner lot with lot of rocks, trees and complicated boundary with neighbors. Ilya came to house multiple times for estimate and meeting HOA person and helped us build a great fence. Their whole crew was very professional and did an amazing job. Their work. quality is great and pricing was also great. Highly recommended!

Davyd and Blat did a great job replacing a few cedar fence panels plus a 4 ft. wide gate to each of our side yard fences. Their work ethic was very professional!

Optima did a great job with our project. They had a competitive price and completed the job quickly (a head of schedule). The foreman José communicated very well throughout the project and asked for specific details to make sure the fence was what we wanted.

I needed to replace my wood fence in Renton and contacted 3 local companies who had good reviews online. They all had different proposals. Lining up proposals from each which used similar materials, Optima Fence was the most competitive but the other two companies seemed to have better guarantees and possibly crews with more long time experience. Since Optima's price was the most competitive I decided to take a chance with them. I asked them for two additional things that weren't in the original proposal. One, I wanted each end of the new fence to be attached to new 4x4 posts that were independent of the neighbors fence. Two, I wanted the bottom of the posts that were to be set in concrete coated with rubberized seal such as Flex seal to further deter rot. The rubberized coating needed to extend for several inches above the ground also since the most vulnerable part is at ground level. Saw this on YouTube. Both of these extras they did for essentially no increase in their original proposal.

They also had a crew available to start right away and finished the work in just over a day. Finished product was excellent. I checked straightness of posts with a corner square. Very, very pleased. They will be my top choice to replace another section of fence next spring.

Optima Fence and Deck did an absolutely OUTSTANDING job replacing my old split rail fence with a beautiful new cedar fence today. Led by foreman Andrey, the two man crew worked extremely hard, and completed the project in a day. They were polite and personable and cleaned up the area meticulously when they had finished. I highly recommend them!

I'm so happy with my fence! Davyd and Sergei did an excellent install, left the worksite clean, and were very pleasant and professional. I appreciated that Optima worked with me to meet my timeline, keep costs down and adjust the job to meet my needs---it's hard to find a company to install a wire fence, and Optima did it for me. I highly recommend Optima from start to finish!

I have a great experience with Optimal when I need to replace about 15ft of the fence that got knocked down by winds.
Ilya was extremely patient and professional during the free onsite estimate. He spent a good 30 minutes going through this small project and explaining everything in detail.
Davyd M. built this beautiful fence efficiently and communicated with me clearly from start to finish.
I would definitely use Optima again for any future projects.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW — Absolutely thrilled with our new deck!

We couldn’t be happier with the results from Optima Fence and Deck! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Oleg, Illya, and the entire team were professional, detail-oriented, and a true pleasure to work with. They brought incredible craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and total dedication to quality.

Our new deck is not only stunning—it’s smartly designed and super functional. The built-in bench, hidden storage, and beautifully crafted privacy screen all came together seamlessly, making the space feel custom and high-end. Every cut, line, and finish is done with care, and the final product is even better than we imagined.

And the best part? They completed the entire project in just two weeks—faster than we ever expected, without cutting any corners. Oleg and Illya were communicative, punctual, and made sure every detail met (and exceeded) our expectations.

We’ve already received tons of compliments, and we’re beyond excited to enjoy this space for years to come. Highly, highly recommend Optima Fence and Deck if you’re looking for quality, integrity, and beautiful results—delivered on time!

Huge thanks again to the whole team—you truly knocked it out of the park!
