Best arborist in town

Took out a difficult root ball that defeated two other companies. Very "can do" and took advantage of a cancellation to come the next morning. Left the area clean. Super nice guy also!

I have worked with Brian many times for residential and commercial tree trimming and pruning. He is a good communicator, professional and has extensive experience!

Root Cause and its founder, Brian Holers, are tree care specialists that understand how to protect and care for your trees. Brian is a 21st century arborist who is certain to meet any tree owner's needs.

I have hired Root Cause on at least three commercial projects in the main downtown core area of Seattle in the last 18 months. They are very professional, reliable, good workmanship and catered to a tight work schedule to complete the building project on time. I would hire and recommend this company if you are installing Porous Paving on your project.

Brian has worked for us for many years on many projects. Not only is he a very knowledgeable arborist, but he is also hardworking, positive, honest and creative about how to get a difficult job accomplished.
Thank you Brian for being our “go to” guy!

I was at Salmon Bay Park when Root Cause came to trim the trees. They were kind, respectful and professional. All the kids at the park were enthusiastic to watch them work. They made the safety of everyone a priority but still made it fun! Thankful for the free toddler entertainment!

Absolutely fantastic service ! Brian took care of a tree for Me. He pruned it and made it a lot more healthy . I asked him again this year to take a look at the tree and he said it was fine . Very honest and not out fur the quick buck. I would recommend Brian Hollers and Root cause for any horticultural work. You need done ! A fantastic service we have here in the Island!

The root system of the giant cherry tree in my front yard extends all the way to the back of my lot (3000 sq ft), essentially wrapping itself around my house. Concerned that this might impact the foundation or sewer pipes, I called up Vitality Tree, who referred me to Root Cause for their specialization in root expertise. Brian showed up and provided advice not just on the cherry tree, but my other Japanese maples as well. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. It's quite obvious he's very passionate about the trees and our environment. Truly admirable. I have taken numerous botany courses at UCDavis, so I know an expert when I see one and Brian is definitely it. I wholeheartedly recommend Root Cause. Brian cared about my trees and house as if they were his. I will definitely consult with him for any future needs.

We had an old dead cherry tree and a well-loved old birch tree which had been shedding limbs for awhile and which we had been dreading losing however, they had to be removed. Root Cause submitted the lowest bid and had good reviews. The crew came out to our house and the process we had been dreading was finished in one day leaving minimal clean up. We have more light in the yard now and a fresh prospective for additional work, making the whole experience less painful. Thank you Brian!
