Had a window leak and they advised to caulk over the nails in the siding to see if that helped before replacing any flashing or the window itself. Good call, the window hasn't leaked all year.

Duncan has completed several projects for us, among them rebuilding two decks, erecting an arbor and making some large planter boxes. Working with him has been a pleasure. He is a talented craftsman with fair prices and sees the job through in a timely manner. Plus, he is a very nice human being.

Very professional and detailed work on a covered deck for our backyard. We get compliments on it all the time. While working on the project, communication was always clear with Duncan and I found it very easy to work with him.

I own a small home in Issaquah and was looking to have some partition walls removed that were separating my kitchen from the dining/living room. I reached out to DR construction and they were able to take on the job. It ended up being less than I had expected (even knowing it wasn't load bearing) and everything went smoothly. The crew showed up as scheduled, worked quickly and did a good job of cleaning the work site before leaving. I also got the impression that everyone in the crew had plenty of experience and knew how to work efficiently with each other. It ended up being a great decision since my small floor plan became much more open.

I ended up working with a bunch of contractors since then over the course of a remodel (that I kept adding to) and I really learned to appreciate businesses like DR Construction that were reliable, professional and didn't turn everything into a giant headache!

DR Construction is truly the best. We have been through two MAJOR remodels with them (one included a house lift + move and both were 6-figure projects). These guys are as professional, talented, capable, and generally great as it gets. To boot, they are really nice people and their prices are reasonable given their skill level - which is that they are true craftsman. They were able to anticipate challenges, come up with creative solutions, and solve problems that seemed unfathomable at the time. Duncan, the owners is always responsive, helpful, and takes genuine pride in his work, and in his employees who are always the cream of the crop. If you're taking on a home remodel, I can't stress the importance of a trustworthy, capable, and skilled crew. I wouldn't go with anyone else.

I was very impressed by Duncan's professionalism. He showed up on time to appointment, and was very knowledgeable with the deck remodeling project I was looking for. He was genuinely interested in hearing about my concerns and wish list for the project, and his estimate was very detailed and organized. The communication with his office staff was great as well. Ultimately, I chose a different company for my project but I had no doubt that DR Construction would have delivered an excellent finished product.

Let me start this off by saying I'm not a social media guy and rarely do I ever write reviews. After trusting a contractor / "friend" for over a year to work on my house (which was full of disappointment; zero communication, countless no-shows, empty promises and an unfinished house) I simply just couldn't take it anymore. So I asked a good friend of mine who has a lot of connections in the "contractor world" if he could choose one guy who would it be? He simply said hands down it would be Duncan who owns DR Construction. After our first meeting I couldn't wait to get started with them but had prepared myself for the worst as I know how the business works and even finding someone in this day and age was going to be incredibly tough. The first day the crew were on the job at 6:30am to review the punch-lists each had on their phones that Duncan had provided and were having a "safety meeting". That same day I received several text messages (with pictures) and a few emails from Duncan and his guys; Jarod, Phillip and Scott (who are all rock stars by the way) outlining the mistakes the first contractor had made and what they were doing to correct it. This open and consistent communication lasted throughout the entire very complex deck project. Quality of work matched their communication skills, not only did they discover and correct several key mistakes made by the previous contractor but the quality of work they do is simply incredible. They take such pride in everything they do and they walk you through each phase of the project. Couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to have them back again soon!

DR construction came as a recommendation from a friend when I had a flood in my home. At the time I was doing finals in school, this was an extremely stressful time. Duncan dealt with the insurance company do I did not have to worry about it. He and his crew were very friendly and left my home in a livable state each evening. They made the whole process so easy for me. I was thrilled with the results. Several years later I hired them again for another remodel job and again they blew away my expectations on the work preformed. I would hire them again without any hesitation.

I have not used DR construction for any any work but I have seen A number of his remodels. Duncan's company doe great work, the detail of his remodels are incredible. I highly recommend DR Construction for any remodel jobs.

I've used DR Construction for multiple projects in the past several years and every time, they've been stellar. I've used them for small projects, like installing new doors or lights or demolishing unwanted structures or features, and big ones, like renovating my garage and house. They're communicative, responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. The owner isn't hands off or just management, as he gets involved with projects, works side-by-side with his crew, manages subcontractors, and talks with the clients. DR Construction is the real deal. I cannot recommend them enough.

We have had Duncan and his crew do numerous projects for us over the past 10 years. From large scale bathroom remodels to home repair projects, they have always been easy to work with, fair with their pricing and very trustworthy.

If I could give DR Construction 10 stars, I would!! Owner Duncan and his team have restored my faith in contractors in every way. DR Construction just finished a major deck renovation at our Lake Chelan home and we couldn't be happier. They started on time, worked four ten hour days a week for three weeks straight and finished on budget within 45 minutes of when they said they would. All members of their team are polite, friendly and true craftsmen. Duncan was readily available at all times and provided daily updates with pictures, since the project was at our vacation home and we were not on site during the project. The attention to detail and high level of finish work met every one of my OCD tendencies.

Without any reservations, I would highly recommend DR Construction and would most certainly hire them for the next project!!

I couldn't be happier with my experience with DR Construction. I was dreading looking for a contractor for my new home remodel after hearing horror stories from friends and family. I interviewed several contractors and I knew after meeting Duncan that he was my guy. My initial walk through with him was super helpful and made me feel confident about moving forward. He was punctual, knowledgable, personable, honest, and realistic with his advice and what he was offering. He hires subcontractors to do the work he doesn't specialize in and has a great network of people he works with consistently. First week of the job, he had a calendar white board put up so we could communicate and so his team and I could keep track of the timeline and what was going on. The team is on time every day, really wonderful to work with, and they even do safety briefings every Monday morning. :) Duncan's team work Mon-Thurs 10 hour days and Duncan makes sure to be on the job site at some point everyday to make sure things are going smoothly. I purchased a beautiful 1957 mid century home and remodeled the entire interior. The house had weird unusual challenges at every turn, but the guys handled them all with grace and kept us all laughing at every turn. Of course it took longer than expected and of course it went over budget, but that's to be expected with any remodel done right. This team is positive, hard working, and SHOULD be the standard for all contractors out there. You can expect professionals with DR Construction. We've worked with many other contractors, and this is one we always go back to because they are easy to work with. Duncan is down to earth, honest, and delivers quality on schedule. So many contractors miss one of these things.

DR installed 2 windows that match exactly like the other windows from scratch. They found the matching millwork, put up a plastic barrier to prevent dust from spreading, took on the cost of an unexpected electrical job, did the cutting, frame bracing, and siding too and all within 2 days!!! DR also replaced some wood rot we had with our front deck. They can do it all!

Highly recommended. Next job we know who to stick with!

DR Construction did a complete kitchen remodel for us and it looks amazing! My biggest concern with doing a full kitchen renovation was finding a contractor that I could trust to show up, complete the job on time and do quality work.
