I used this service to move my mother’s belongs multiple times. They were consistently outstanding. They are courteous, friendly and flexible to work with. I highly recommend them.

Dayzon and Albert did a great job with our move. They were timely and had fun personalities to help us with the experience. We couldn’t have moved without them!

I used Shields Transition Services to move a very heavy piece of vintage furniture I purchased. Communication was exceptional. They took excellent care in moving this one of a kind piece with glass doors, no easy feat. Delivered right in to place in my home. They were fast, friendly and so thoughtful. I would uae them again in a minute and highly recommend them.

If you just want movers...don't call Shields. BUT, if you want movers who CARE, take an interest in your needs and ALWAYS GO THE EXTRA MILE..THEN CALL SHIELDS TODAY.!!!! Used them for years. They'll even come and rearrange your furniture AFTER you've moved if your not pleaed with how the arrangement looks!

I had a horrible experience with this company. Their quote - made with all pertienent information - was less than half the final charges. Then they tried to bully me into paying with a credit card instead of a check, which had never been discussed in advance. For your own good do NOT use them.

During many of my companion care service calls within the senior retirement community I often witness Shields Transition Services performing in the most professional manner. Many of my clients have been transitioned by Shields and are so grateful for the way they were treated. Everything from the pricing to their attention to detail gives this company an A+ !

If I could give more stars, I would. My mom went from a 3-bedroom house to a studio apartment. I was 6 hours away and felt so overwhelmed by the logistics of making it happen without taking a month off work, which is just not realistic. Someone recommended Shields Transitions Services. And I am beyond grateful that they did, so I want to pass it forward to the next person who needs help with an aging loved one. I really don’t think it would have happened without them.
From the very first call I was both impressed and relieved. This entire process was made more complicated by the fact that my 76-year-old mom is having mental agility challenges. They patiently navigated the waters with us as we wrestled with the fact that my fiercely independent mother was now having to allow me to participate in the decision making process. It wasn’t pretty. But it didn’t bother them at all, at least that they let us see. Great customer service. Every stage, planning, packing, moving day, unloading and even paying the bill took probably 3 times longer than it should have because my mom processes information much slower now and forgets a lot. Many times after they explained things to her she would have to let them explain the very same things to me because she could not keep track everything. It was frustrating to her, and a new experience for both of us. But they didn’t bat an eyelash they just kindly explained things again. No sighing, no hints of annoyance in their voices, just pure kindness and understanding from everyone.
The packers, Sierra and Courtney. I cannot say enough or express my gratitude to them. They spent 3 weeks with my mom sorting and packing and downsizing in short bursts. My mom walks with a walker and gets tired quickly. She wasn’t interested in downsizing at all. But we had laid out goals and priorities before they even went in so they knew what we needed. I was there the last packing day with them and the kindness and patience I witnessed from these two women was remarkable. They would ask my mom questions and when my mom would say she was overwhelmed, I watched them seamlessly pivot to something else for 10 minutes then circle back to the overwhelming topic and get the answer they needed to move forward without my mom even realizing they had guided her past the hurdle. They had everything marked with one color tape that was staying for the estate sale, and a separately color for what was going on the truck.
The moving team showed up prepared to work. It was hotter than hades in Spokane, and they were drenched in sweat. But they never once complained. They never once swore in front of us. They treated each other with respect. I’ve used long haul movers in the past and they usually swear like sailors, or…truck drivers. Not these guys. They were professional and polite and oh-so-very patient with us. Even while my mom and I got tired and snippy with each other; and my mom gave contradictory directions about was staying and going despite the tape markers; and at one point my mom and I got into it, as daughters and mother do sometimes (yes, even at 76 and 53 it still happens, especially after 3 days together trying to downsize even more) and I stormed out of the house and marched down the street ranting like a mad woman as I took a walk to calm down. The guys didn’t waiver. They just stayed focused and got the job done with smiles on their faces.
When they arrived the next day to unload at her new place, they set up her bed, moved it twice to make sure she could get around it with her walker, arranged the furniture, then stacked boxes in a way that made sense so my family and I could start unpacking her.
STS made this move possible. Without them I don't think it would have happened. And our family is grateful.

We were in a difficult and time crunch situation. Needed to get our father moved into an assisted living facility in a hurry and we do not live in the area. We called Shields and they came out right away to look at what we needed done and gave us not only reasonable estimate, but also suggestions and contact numbers for others that we would need for the move. They worked within our time frame, and even went out of their way to pick up a chair from the furniture store. We had a slight damaged item situation and Chris and Steve made it right for us by replacing the item even though they did not have to under the terms of their contract. I would highly recommend them for your moving needs! Highly professional, quick, and super friendly!!

We were in trouble. During our 45 years of married life, my husband and I combined a habit of shopping at thrift stores with a practice of never getting rid of anything. Then we tried to absorb our parents' things when they passed, leaving us with boxes filling our basement, living room, breakfast nook, garage, and two of three bedrooms. Every horizontal surface was cluttered with things we'd collected plus stacks of books and papers. Plus we were older now and not in good health. "We need help," I prayed. We had no family in the area. The next day I heard that a friend similarly burdened had used Shields Transition Services when she moved, with terrific results. We hired them on the spot after consulting with them. They are reasonably priced, very friendly and respectful, at the same time utterly professional. With them we have never felt judged or pushed to do more than we could. They have worked at our pace. Basically, they are the muscle and encouragement and organizing skills that we have needed. They are amazingly efficient while honoring our decisions about what to sell, donate, send to the dump, and keep. They help problem solve storage concerns in our available space. They choose honest, hardworking, and friendly people to work for them. They have also created their own moving company and are expanding into house cleaning if needed to help maintain our progress. We are in the middle of our job and are totally satisfied with this great service oriented company with an enormous heart and dedication to helping older people process their possessions, whether downsizing or moving. STS moved us from two separate homes into one. Three locations including several baths, two bedrooms, two+ living rooms to one - all in one day. Excellent, caring employees who packed our things, moved them and got the truck unloaded at our new home without incident as a wildfire raged just across the river. We were worried but they knew their stuff and all went very well. A huge thank you to STS!!!
