They were doing some work at a neighbors house the other day and I asked the foreman if, when they were done if they could come over and take down a snapped “widow maker” branch hanging over my hammock area from the last windstorm. After a quick call to the owner they came right over, dropped it, chipped the branches and cut the log into rounds then stacked it even. Top notch service and great price. Will def use them to shape up my trees in the near future!

I had twelve 125'+ doug- and hem-firs that had been keeping me up during the stormy nights in North Bend. During the frequent winter storms the trees leaned way over my house, directly over my children's rooms. During the 2019 multi-foot snow storm one of the trees fell, taking out power to the street. I knew that the trees had to go, but I was hesitant to call anybody because I feared the guesstimate price tag that I was hearing from colleagues.

Finally, after countless hours of worrying about the trees I called Mike at Clear View and asked for a bid, just to see what the cost would be. Mike showed up the next day (in the pouring rain) and we walked through the situation, time-frame, recommendation, and concerns. Mike offered many solutions that would help save some money and we were able to come to a final agreement. Mike's price and plan was so bullet-proof that I knew that I should not even waste my time calling another tree service - which I was planning to do - so we had the plan set and work agreed upon before Mike left my house that day.

I told my colleagues that were offering guesstimates the bid and I had to pick their jaws up off the floor!

Per plan, Mike and his crew showed up on the afternoon of a 90 degree day and started limbing trees. By the next afternoon the eleven trees were gone. Five of the trees were limbed, topped, and removed from the property. The other six trees were limbed (with the chips sprayed in the flower beds) topped, fallen, and cut into fire wood rounds for my family to come grab!

The best part of it all was that they found a bird's nest in one of the trees and the care that they took in dealing with it. They carefully brought it down the tree and called my family out to take a look before moving it to an adjacent tree that was not being removed. Awesome!

Mike and his team were extremely efficient, professional, and kind. I could not recommend a company more than Clear View.

We used Clear View Tree Service for site development on a Custom home build. They did an excellent job at a great price. We will be using them again on our next project. Highly recommend.

It is refreshing to still be able to find such great service. These days finding honest and competent professionals isn't always an easy task. I'm not sure why that is, but that's a subject for another day.

We had two big hemlocks right next to our house that were dangerous and had to come down. I don't mind telling you that I was scared to death. Mike and his team had them down safely in just a few hours. It was amazing to watch.

Mike and his crew did a great job. We will be having them do some more work for us again this spring.

Edit: Mike contacted us and tried bribing us to remove this review claiming " it's a small town". Maybe you shouldn't try to screw over your long time customers in a small town if you don't want negative reviews Mike.

I had been using Clear View for over 7 years. All other jobs from Clear View I got a quote up front and paid in cash promptly. This last job was an insurance job and Mike billed after the job was complete. He had a line item on the invoice for "debris removal" when they didn't remove any debris from my property. When I contracted Mike about it he said, "it's just the cost of doing business". I told Mike i would've gladly paid to have them remove the debris and he could keep the money. He then insisted that "it's just the cost of doing business" and I still owed him for debris removal. I said insurance paid someone to do debris removal so either come do it or remove the line item from the invoice. I then contacted insurance and they said they would need another invoice with the "debris removal" removed or replaced if Mike wanted the additional money for work he didn't do. Obviously it would look very suspicious to insurance if Mike resubmitted an invoice for the same price with a line item removed. It was at this point Mike caved (after wasting hours of my time) and removed the line item from the invoice for work they didn't do.

While trying to get him to remove the "debris removal", he got mad at me and said, "most people just pay their bills". Well, most contractors don't charge for work they didn't do Mike. Maybe you shouldn't insult your customers. It's obvious he charges people for work he didn't do and expects them to not look at the bill and just pay it.

They also damaged some 8' cedar boards my fence in the process of removing the tree from it and did not notify me. I'm guessing they probably didn't notice since Mike didn't send them over here until 7pm when it was dark and raining. I would say "maybe you shouldn't send your guys on such a late night run" but he pocketed $172 per MINUTE, even after removing the "debris" charge from the invoice. They were here no more than 15 minutes based on my Ring camera footage. It's obvious that's why he took the job since that equates to $10,000+ an hour (extrapolated). That seems a little excessive to remove a comparatively small tree from my shed and fence that took less than 15 minutes. I thought "maybe they have a minimum time for invoices" but if that was the case they should've stayed longer than 15 minutes and removed the debris (or other work) from my property like I requested. My mistake for not getting a quote up front but his price was never that outrageous on any other job he did for me so I didn't think anything of it. Mike's crew did the bare minimum for the highest price on this job. Clear view tree service is not the same as they were when I started using them 7 years ago. They just became more expensive for the same amount of work while trying to do the bare minimum.

Needless to say, Mike lost a customer of over 7 years for trying to charge me for work that was not completed, damaging my fence when removing the tree from it, insulting me, calling me a liar, and overcharging insurance (in my opinion). Be sure to check your invoices for work that was itemized but not completed or overcharged if you go with Clear View tree services. And check to make sure they didn't damage your property in the process.

I've switched to using Watson Family Tree Care and they are much more professional, more reasonably priced, and cover most all the areas Clear View does. I highly recommend Watson Family Tree Care over Clear View any day of the week.

Can't recommend Mike and his team enough. They took out some really big trees around my property that were dead and worrisome for me and my neighbor. They got it done in short order before a big storm came in. Great communication, friendly team, and a great price for the amount of work done. Had a Japanese maple that I was expecting would have understandable collateral damage from removing the 65 year old noble fir right up next to it, but it came out completely unscathed and looking great. They are definitely thoughtful how they approach situations! Grateful for Mike and his awesome team.

While tree removal company can be a hit or miss(I got burned by other company) I am very happy that I hired Chris to do the job after seeing him worked on my neighbors project. Chris and his crew did an amazing job! Work ethics, friendliness and professionalism.

During a recent ice storm I had a tree come down across my driveway blocking my garage and taking out the power lines to the house. Knowing the urgency, Chris came by afterhours and cleared the tree, so I could get my car out of the garage and have power restored. He operated with precision making sure not to damage my newly laid paver driveway. I also had his crew remove some dangerous trees and branches, and he had the most respectful and hardworking crew that I've worked with in a long time. It's great to have folks like this around that are so customer focused, proficient, hardworking, and just all around good people when you need them. Thanks, Chris!

We have used Chris and his crew a couple times now for the removal of three full-size Doug Firs and one full-size Willow. Both times they were responsive, reliable, personable, trustworthy, and did a high quality professional job for a fair price. After using Cedar Falls Tree Service twice for tree removal in our tight back yard we can’t recommend them highly enough. Our first encounter with CFTS was a giant dug fir. After realizing there was some rot at a previous topping of the tree we reached out to CFTS who were quick to arrive for a quote and explain the proposed process of limbing the tree and bringing it down in sections to avoid damage to our yard, septic drain field, and a nearby deck. With the wind storms North Bend tends to get and some giant limbs already coming down we knew we needed the tree taken care of to avoid hitting the house or nearby neighbors. Arriving right on time on the day off at every step CFTS explained their plan, the process, and what our options were. The crew was quick and thorough taking care of the limbs and did a great job with clean up to get as much debris taken care of as possible. We were incredibly happy with their professionalism and the communication so we understood how the work would unfold. The great work was reinforced when we found out they were already the tree service of choice for a couple other families in our neighborhood. After being more than happy with the service and value in selecting the options that worked for us we recently had then back out to take out another cluster of trees entangled with a big cedar that had dry rot taking hold. We can’t recommend Cedar Falls Tree Service highly enough and will be reaching out for our future tree pruning needs.

Rain, wind, or snow - these guys get the job done!! I called Chris when I noticed a large crack in one of our large firs during a storm. Chris gave me some straps to sturdy the tree through the night and was there early the next morning to take it down in the sleeting rain. Did a great and safe job!! I highly recommend Cedar Falls Tree Service!!

Chris and his crew went above and beyond. Very professional and easy to work with. Priced well. Removed a huge maple overhanging our home, safely and cleanly. Happy, happy, happy.

TLDR: We would highly recommend! Very happy with the service and would hire them again. Happy to talk with potential clients about our experience. Cedar Falls Tree service just took down a LARGE Spruce in our front yard—a few feet in diameter at the base. They did what they said they’d do, when they said they’d do it and were very pleasant to work with.

Ahead of time, they let me know exactly what to expect and which plants I’d need to move to protect (I had a bunch of daffodils and tulips coming up around the tree) and where I’d need to move them.

On the day of, they brought a 3 man crew and all the equipment needed. They showed up on time and worked on it most of the day. They also covered a few of my shrubs to protect them when the branches were coming down close. They were also careful around our gas line and the storm drain that’s on the edge of our property.

They cleaned up all the branches and even took care of a few branches that we had in the yard already. After they used their leaf blower my driveway was cleaner after they left than before they arrived! They hauled away the wood that we didn’t want and left a tidy pile of 16” cut rounds that we’ll use for firewood. My brother in law asked for a specific size chopping block and they cut 3 for him to choose from!

When a part of their stump grinder broke before the stump was gone, they let us know what was going on and promised to come back then next day to finish. The next day was miserably rainy and he came back and finished the work! The stump was HUGE—raised roots going out over 10 feet, and now it’s a pile of chips. I told him I wanted to plant a new tree and he did his best to make sure there was a good spot.

If we have another tree that needs to come down, I don’t feel like I’d need to get a dozen quotes like I did this time.
