I'm very impressed with the work they're doing at my neighbor's house. He had a pretty severe fire. They're doing framing repair and/or replacement, mold remediation(?) and/or prevention, electrical repair, maybe plumbing repair and more. I've had several conversations with the employees and they are stellar people! What stood out to me is the explanation that they use 78% hydrogen peroxide to kill and prevent mold, plus the process. We plan on hiring them for mold remediation in our attic! I'll update this when I have an estimate and complete project!

I can not say enough about Golden Coast Construction. David came to me after I had a house fire. I was feeling so lost and hopeless but it was his compassion and knowledge of what needed to get done that got me through my dark chapter. Paul was my project manger, he was so incredible. He was always just a phone call away when ever I had questions. He made sure the work was done to perfection. Golden Coast fought for me with my Insurance company when my insurance wanted to lowball the claim and cut corners. Golden Coast made sure things were done right. They treated me like I was so valued and because of Golden Coast, David and Paul my house was restored back to me and now I have a beautiful Home. I would highly recommend this company.

His assistance in coordinating with our insurance company for the assessment inspection made the claims process significantly smoother.

His expertise and experience were invaluable in negotiating with the insurance company, resulting in a comprehensive and undisputed repair estimate. His support provided us with immense relief during a challenging time.
A special thanks goes to Daniel, the project manager overseeing the entire construction process. He skillfully scheduled and monitored all construction activities, including county inspections. Daniel's professional knowledge instilled confidence in us as he helped solve issues and select materials and finishes, ensuring we achieved the best results within our budget.
I also appreciated the use of their online application called Buildertrend, which allowed us to track the project schedule and progress in real time.
Overall, we were pleased with Golden Coast’s work and the progress they made. They truly made our recovery from the fire much less painful than we anticipated. Thank you, Golden Coast, for your dedication and professionalism!

I have a lot of mixed feelings about this company. After our house fire in June of 2023, we connected with Dave and Gordy at board up and the initial part of rebuilding. They were both excellent, highly responsive, and helpful at every step of the process. We felt like we were in great hands with both individuals. I still have huge respect for Dave especially as he has been helpful throughout the entire process.

The wait for approval to begin construction was long due to the insurance company, not Golden Coast. We worked with Matt during this time who is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Construction was approved at the end of February 2024. Our problems started with our project manager. I originally considered it to be a mismatch in communication styles, but I became increasingly frustrated with him and the overall management of the construction process.

One of our first conversations was about how I had changed all the fixtures in the house to oil rubbed bronze and wanted them to be this way again. This was an ongoing problem from the start of the project. Everything was being installed as nickel. It may not seem like a big deal but it was a major esthetic thing for me.

My original expectation was that there would be some sort of organization for decisions we made so that both the project manager and us could easily see expectations and decisions in one place. Maybe this is how it works with some of the project managers, but not the one we were assigned.

It was incredibly confusing, as he would text either me or my husband and seemed to regularly try to go around me by just communicating with my husband. I communicated this concern to both the project manager and Dave and it was addressed so that afterward we communicated only on a group message thread, which was helpful. However in early stages of the process, I felt like I was continually having to go back and address previously made decisions.

I felt like with our project manager, I was always the one reaching out for updates. Things would be scheduled in buildertrend and then not be happening with zero communication as to why. I understand that with construction things can change rapidly, but all I wanted was more communication on that.

Many of the problems came with just basic communication. It felt like we were given what were possibly cheapest or easiest choices rather than what we had stated we wanted. A good example is the kitchen cabinets. Our old ones were real wood and we kept being given options that were nothing like that. I had to repeatedly show what I was looking for. The counter tops were again a challenge as our project manager really pushed quartz counter tops, when we had talked about wanting granite ones like we'd had previously.

There were some parts of construction that went well such as a truly impressive drywall guy who worked quickly and accurately. I think where things really fell apart was at the end of the project. Construction wrapped up in August and everything seemed to get really rushed. The person who painted the inside of the house did such an appauling job that we had him come back out to do touchups, and eventually, I hired a professional paint company to come in after him at our own expense. They struggled to fix many of the issues and some are blatantly not correctable.

The finishes on the house are obviously rushed and have required additional work since. For example, press board trim being installed in bathrooms unsealed so it pulls up and warps. Their own guy coming out and fixing things was confused on why that was done.

I will say Golden state stands behind their warranty, but this means continued communication with our project manager who we have to text and call many times to get a response from and constantly hound for updates. I am overall happy with our home, but the process during construction was extremely frustrating and far more stressful than it should have been. I feel like I'll be spending more time and money fixing the finishes that were rushed once our warranty ends in September.

Working with Golden Coast construction was the most effortless part of our home restoration. After our building sustained some fire damage, David came by and gave us a very friendly and straightforward experience. They provided a fair bid that our insurance immediately accepted and work was completed faster than anticipated. The final product was near identical to how it looked before the fire. I recommend Golden Coast Construction to anyone who wants great quality with no stress.

Golden Coast Construction & Restoration Northwest was an outstanding company to work with. Each person we dealt with was patient, gracious, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our circumstances became very complicated with both homeowners suffering major illnesses, the house experiencing vandalism after the fire, complications with the insurance company, and so forth. In the midst of all the complications that arose, Golden Coast was diligent in working with us, the insurance company, and anyone else that assisted in the restoration process. They were extremely patient, well-mannered, hardworking, and very business-like. At the beginning of the process, we were impress how they handled themselves and they continued to do so throughout the process. The end result of the restoration is outstanding! The layout of the house improved considerably and they went above and beyond in some areas that originally were not considered. Each room was restored beautifully in style, color and design, which improved the look and flow of the home. We are very grateful to Golden Coast for all their hard work in not only restoring the home, but making it considerably better!

Best fire/water restoration and reconstruction company in Washington! This review is long just like the reconstruction process, but selecting the right contractor is a critical decision if you're in the unfortunate position to be looking for one. I hope this review can assist others in their time of need just like Golden Coast did for us.

While the building was still on fire, my phone was blowing up with calls from all kinds of shady restoration companies. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU CHOOSE! My 1st claims agent tried to convince me to drop the claim then convinced me to go with their "preferred" restoration company. Big mistake. The agent was trying to save the insurance company money, not to ensure I got what's rightfully owed under the law and my policy to rebuild after years of dutifully paying premiums.

After a couple of weeks watching the insurance contractor botch the job while sending me unclear and ever increasing bills, I finally reached out to Golden Coast. From there, it was a 180. David G. and Alex L. sensitively walked me through their assessment of the situation as well as the ballpark reconstruction cost and timeline. Andrey L. helped me navigate through an unfamiliar process and went above and beyond all aspects of his job. More challenging than the construction (surprisingly the easiest part) are the interactions with the insurance company. Andrey was instrumental in helping me navigate a challenging and constantly evolving situation to self-advocate for my rights to receive what I was legally entitled to.

Reconstruction was finally complete 18 MONTHS and 6 claims agents later. Golden Coast and their staff were tremendous in all aspects. Alex S. managed the project nearly perfectly. The issues I did have were quickly rectified at no additional cost. Any change orders were well justified, discussed, and approved prior to any additional out of scope work being initiated. Additional work not covered by the claim I requested was also completed at competitive market rates. Overall, the quality and craftsmanship of the reconstruction work was top notch. Alex S. was attentive throughout, providing pictures and updates as they QUICKLY went to work once we got past insurance bottlenecks. All the subcontractors, especially Tymofii L., were professional and respectful.

I work with a lot of contractors and wish all of them were like Golden Coast. I'd highly recommend them and will be coming back for other (hopefully non-fire) related construction jobs.

We are so thankful working with Golden Coast Construction & Restoration when disaster struck us February 19, 2025 as our house was caught on fire.
Don, David and Andrey were the first to come to our rescue the next day. They prayed and counseled with us, took us to lunch, and helped us start the reality of dealing with the loss of our dream home.
The restoration process was handled professionally GCC & R, led by Project Manager Igor who was so amazingly patient and delightful to work with.
November 7th 2025 we were given the keys back to our restored dream home with tears of joy.

I want to give a huge thank you to Golden Coast Construction for turning restoring my hope within these last few months. My attached garage to my home unfortunately caught fire, leaving the garage destroyed and all its contents unsalvageable. Additionally, the inside of the home contained smoke and water damage. From day one, when GC came on the scene, every individual I had an encounter with was very friendly,accommodating and easy to work with. The team assured me they could restore my home and they did it in less time than the original time line.
