Disrespectful and irresponsible. We had an appointment with Andrey for an on-site estimate today (2021-06-15) at 12:30pm, but he never showed up. I sent an email to reminder him about the appointment last night, and I even sent a text message in the morning to confirm with him. He replied at 12:00pm saying "Yes on my way". So we drove from our apartment to our new house, and kept waiting for him there till 1pm. I texted him again. Then he called me back and said that he did not know we had an appointment today!!! How could that be possible? I reminded him twice, through both email and text. It is totally a waste of time. I missed our team meeting and asked for 2 hours leave from my boss.
This is really a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend ANK to anyone.

Update: Andrey contacted me and apologized for his mistake on that day. I can feel he is sincere.

Andrey and his team did a great job remodeling our two bathrooms. They were very responsive to our needs. They are highly capable of handling complex and detail oriented work like building tile doors, electrical and glass installs etc. It's been a pleasure working with them and I would highly recommend them for any interior or exterior remodeling projects.

I debated for a long time whether I would leave a review - this is their livelihood after all. At the time (about a year ago) I had no other remodeling contractor experience to compare to so I was honestly unsure whether my own expectations were too high. After I halted work with ANK and had a different contractor come in to finish the remodel, the experience was night and day for me.

To be clear, things started off great, but overall communication was a struggle in all aspects... from not understanding what I wanted (despite pictures, layouts, sketches) to simply asking for a general schedule so that we could plan around them (working from home, we have large dogs). People would just show up randomly any day or time of the week and weekend... sometimes staying as late as 8pm. We just tried to stay open minded and flexible, letting them get the work done.

After a couple months and some major disagreements, it was clear this working relationship was not good for either of us. My gut was telling me that this situation was not right. When you reach that level of distrust, there's no point in continuing. I couldn't wait for it to be over... I'm sure that part was mutual.

So why after nearly a year? Because even after this long, we're still finding and paying to fix issues they caused. I have since discussed these with Andrey and we came to an agreement on some of the larger issues.

I sincerely hope my situation was a one time occurrence. I chose this contractor purely off our initial conversations and all their shining 5 star reviews... everything seemed great. I feel it's only fair that I finally share my cautionary tale.

This is a team of very skilled, very kind Craftsman mostly from the Ukraine who we had the pleasure of working with on several projects. My wife and I ask them to remodel two of our bathrooms which involved taking out a cast iron tub, taking up some hardwood flooring that had been damaged, tiling in a new walk-in shower with glass doors, replacing countertops on built-in cabinets, some new electrical work, the plumbing involved, etc. It all looks professionally done, they had good suggestions where that was needed. This is mostly for people who are okay picking out all of the materials, purchasing them, and coming up with some fairly detailed plans, but the team executes flawlessly. They are hard-working, polite, and communicate well when necessary.

We used ANK construction for repairing the siding on our house. They were efficient and got the job done within the estimated cost and time provided. We were very happy with results and the quality of the work that was performed. If there was one are they could improve on, it would be communication. It took some follow ups/reminders to get responses though we believe it was because they were very busy with many clients/jobs.

Andy and his team are incredible. Recently, we had the master bathroom remodeled in my parents house, replace our flooring, and stone accent wall and interior painting millwork and walls. Andey took the time to understand our desires, design preferences, and our budget. In a few days he presented several ideas. Throughout the remodel process he was with us from start to finish. The finished bathroom is beyond our expectation, it is modern and beautiful. I couldn't have asked for more.

We were pleased with the job done by ANK when we renovated our three bathrooms. The crew is very professional, does good quality work and is very respectful too. Overall the projects were done per agreed upon schedule (more or less).

We had ANK perform a bathroom remodel for us recently. From the bid to the end of the project, Andrey and his team were friendly and respectful of our small space. As this was our first remodel, we really appreciated the team's patience with us as well as their input on design and practicality. They cleaned up at the end of every day and were considerate of our cats during the project. I also appreciated having a group text chat with Andrey and Andy, the project manager. They were always responsive to us during the project. We didn't always know who was coming by and when, so having a way to communicate throughout the project was really helpful. They checked in to discuss practical details and gave us options as they arose. They were also responsive to us when any issues came up along the way. All issues were resolved in a timely manner and by the end of the project.

I agree with another reviewer who suggested to go over your bid and make sure everything that was discussed is on there to make sure you get the most accurate estimate. Their bid was super reasonable and they are skilled at what they do.

We are enjoying our new bathroom and look forward to working with them again for help with our kitchen.

I got three quotes from different remodeling companies and his estimate was the best. They did a wonderful job with my kitchen project.
