I booked a move-out cleaning for 2 hours/ $360 for a 1,390 square feet town house. They gave me a final bill of $960, without ever telling me when they arrived at the house, or during the cleaning. $960 for town house is completely unreasonable. I would have expected move out cleaning fees of ~$300-400 for places this size. Their explanation was, move-out cleaning takes time when it involves when it involves refrigerator and oven (which in my view is standard with any move-out cleaning). Now they are just going to work with leasing agent and take money from security deposit (Alpha Maids was recommended by leasing agent). It seems like they always overcharge and then take money from security deposit.

We used A&K Carpet Cleaning for two houses in August. One was a rental we were moving out of and the other was a house we were buying. When Oleg first looked at the dirty and stained carpets in the house my wife and I were buying, I told we were just wanted them cleaned enough so that we could put up with them long enough before we replace them. He said that they're actually quite good quality carpets, and that after he cleans them I might change my mind about replacing them. He was right! Even my wife, who is a neat freak, was stunned and surprised at how good the carpets looked. And we got stain protection from him at a reasonable price as well. Sure enough, a few weeks later, I spilled some black tea on the carpet, and it just beaded up. I dabbed it with a rag and presto! No stain.
