I called Shook's Tree Service to take down a pair of dead Alders without damaging surrounding trees or the shed they were leaning over. As an engaged home owner I was more than happy to save a buck being the ground level helper. Unlike other companies, Shook works on a very reasonable flat 1/2 day or full day rate and after the primary trees were taken care of we went around the property pruning and taking down a couple smaller dead trees I was going to do myself to fill out the rest of the 1/2 day. Steven was very knowledgeable and identified several mystery trees, assessed my trees health and identified a concerning fungi at the base of a mature fir tree. He then gave me the contact info for WSU plant sciences outreach to get a positive ID on it. The work was professional, done safely with all the expected safety equipment and efficiently. Shook's is now our go to for any future work that is to tricky or scary for me to take on myself. Thank you Shook's, you rock.
