House Cleaning reviews in Seattle, Washington

Following my previous post in regards to a discrepancy, the company affiliated requested I remove the post.

Coincidentally hours after the incident, my tires were slashed ????? With a knife. Highly suspect.

Original post added below in photos. As I was well aware this could occur. Based on the interactions between myself and this person….with his hostile aggression and threatening words.

At this point I am scared for my life, and safety of my household.

I have involved the Snohomish County Authorities. As no business should be supporting this kind of behaviors.

Nothing but problems. Their team installed my gutters but used the wrong brackets the first time. There was a 1/2 gap at every bracket. 2 weeks later they came out to reinstall. Now the gutters are bent from the reinstall and leak between the fascia and the gutter the entire length of the gutter. I've paid them for the project but they won't fix the issue. Looks like I'll have to pay someone else to repair their work.

Easy process to get and approve quote. Gutters were installed within a week of quote approval. They look great (thank you Angel and Luis!) The team communicated frequently throughout.

Gu-Wi Gutters & Windows installed a gutter on our home which fell halfway off five months later. While they were prompt in returning to repair it, the repair was shoddy, with the gutter now being kinked, hung below the roof drip edge, and having a belly in it resulting in it looking bad and not draining fully. With the poor quality of the initial installation and subsequent repair attempt, I cannot recommend G-Wi Gutters & Windows to anyone.

Great service across the board. Quote was quick, efficient, and lower than all competitors. Communication was great through the job. And of course, the work looks spot on and is getting the job done. Cant be happier with Gu-Wi Gutters.

Had a transfer gutter become disconnected. They were able to schedule me within a week to repair. Very happy.

Dane showed up promptly with all of his own equipment. He told me that I could just relax and he would take care of everything. He had to move furniture and even got up on the roof to do the skylight. It was hard work cleaning the windows and tracks in the heat and humidity but he remained polite and friendly throughout the many hours of labor. Mahalo, Dane!

They did an excellent job clearing moss off my roof and cleaning out my gutters. Cleaned everything up when they were done so things looked better than when they started!

We hired this company for gutter cleaning. Terrible work!!! We added on for the upcharge to clean the exterior...which they did not do at all...only made more of a mess to clean up! When we talked with them they agreed it was awful work and would make it right and send someone out to take care of it. We waited 2 hours and no one showed up. Highly suggest using a more professional company.

We had damage to our copper gutters after fumigating our house and Danny and his crew were great from beginning to end. Great communication, prompt and efficient work and excellent craftsmanship. I would definitely use them again.

I wish the dispatch team had communicated to me about what time they were arriving at the property in advance on the date of dispatch (it was also unclear dispatch was confirmed). Because of miscommunciation, they arrived at a time when guests were still occupying the property. I brought up this issue to Gu-Wi though, and Amanda was very kind/understanding and made the issue all right. I'd recommend Gu-Wi to others for the great service they did provide and for the great customer service.

Gu-wi has been great to partner with! SJA Property Management has been working with them, and Rikki and the rest of the team have been very helpful.

Jesus did a fantastic job connecting my downspouts to the two new rain barrels I purchased. One of the downspouts was in a difficult to reach location behind a tree, gas meter, and AC unit, but that did not phase Jesus at all! I was impressed with the speed and the quality of his work! Thanks so much for your help!

I cannot praise this company enough. We were in desperate need of window cleaning for our gallery after a windy, rainy, snowy winter...the windows were terrible! So I called Danny in a panic before an event, and he squeezed us right into the schedule at a rate much lower than I expected! At these prices I think we can clean our Downtown Seattle windows monthly! Miguel was fast, courteous, and so respectful of our space....We are thrilled!

Very disappointed. Gu-Wi was supposed to clean my gutters, remove moss and treat to prevent moss. Failed on all 3 and did not fully clean up. There was only a ~10X10 foot area that had much moss and you can see the AFTER picture below. Originally, they said OMG this NEVER happens. What can we do? It turns out not much. I cleaned up. They came back out and removed the remaining moss and treated the most important area of the roof that they failed to treat (white powder stuff was obviously not applied the first time). The technician literally told me after that it "wasn't that bad". Apparently not bad to Gu-Wi is not the same as not bad to me. btw ... I absolutely loved getting up on a ladder at 62 yo to document that they didn't fully do what I was paying them to do. I did however get the full bill.

On the morning of January 10, 2023, Gu-Wi's technician, Sergio, cleaned the gutter at my house. Unfortunately, a water leak occurred during the cleaning, resulted in serious water damages on the hardwood floor, subfloor and crawl space, which costed me more than $5000 to repair.

I reached out Gu-Wi several times and they claimed they would not take any responsibilities. They said Sergio only performed his work outside the house, so they would not be responsible for any interior damages. I can't believe they don't understand (or reject to acknowledge) the water pipe used by Sergio is connected to the inside.

I received their invoice today (April 22rd, 2023). They want to charge me more than the quote. I can't believe they even want to charge a 3% merchant service fee if the payment is made by credit or debit card.

A company is not willing to take responsibilities for damages caused by their employees. Instead, they just want charge more from the customers. Keep away from this company.

Thanks for your response Gu-Wi. The leak appears to be around the area where your technician conducted the job, specifically near the horse used for the task. I don't understand why it is so challenging to acknowledge your own mistakes. It would be appreciated if a more positive attitude could be displayed.

Luis did a great job: gutter cleaning, installing gutter guards, and installing a mid-run downspout in a tricky spot. Both the estimator and Luis were on time, tidy, and professional, and Luis did work exactly to spec. I wouldn't hesitate to use Gu-Wi again.

My second time using Gu-Wi for gutter cleaning. Scheduling and communication are extremely easy, all done via text like I asked. They show up on time and are quick and thorough. Shoutout to Carlos for going above and beyond and sending me videos of a clogged drain he saw in my house that would have turned into a big issue.

Angel H. and Luis H. did an excellent job installing the gutters on my house. They also cleaned the debris from the roof and the ground. I’m very satisfied with their service.

I found Gu-Wi from some reviews and I was very disappointed with them. I thought the job was simple enough, replace the roof & clean the gutters (I was told the gutters didn't need replacing at the Gu-Wi inspection visit) and take out 4 windows and replace them with 2 smaller ones.
I am a woman and in dealing with many men in the home-repair/construction industry, this can be difficult. During this process, it definitely felt to me that this company and its employees spoke to and treated me in a very condescending way. Even their emails read like they don’t take my opinion or experience into account.
Customer service was terrible and no one I called at Gu-Wi was clear with who was coming at what time, for any part of the job.
I finally got details that the windows would be done first. Paul (installer) was brilliant and lovely. He took out and replaced what we wanted and installed the 2 new windows. Unfortunately for us (and Paul), one of the new windows had been ordered & made incorrectly - so we needed to wait weeks for it to be replaced in a separate visit.
The roof and gutter replacement was a mess from start to finish. It started with bad communication regarding what was being done and by whom, and this continued to roof install day. It seemed there had been zero mention with the roof install team about any issues I had raised during the contract negotiation about some of the fascia that was rotten and needed replacing. I was told this part of the job would be included in the roof replacement however that message never went anywhere and never happened.
The roofers didn’t speak to me on the day, no one came to the door to even say they were here - we found out they were here when banging on the roof started. By day 2, I finally met someone who said he was in charge of the job, however when I brought up the rotten fascia he didn’t know anything about it. I was told that any underlayment or wood that was rotten would be replaced with new and if any of it was bigger than 2 sheets of ply, I would be notified. This didn’t happen so I assumed that all the sub-roof was in good condition. The roofers cleaned up after themselves, but left debris behind in my trees and on the ground. They also took away our doormat - just threw it away with the roof materials (my Ring doorbell confirmed!). When I texted the roof project manager about this, I just got no reply; like my concerns weren’t important.
Eventually, I was told that the new roof was finished. However the rotten fascia hadn’t been repaired. The new roof had simply been placed on top, kind-of balancing on this part with some rotten wood underneath!
I took some photos and sent it to the company - I was now told the guttering needed replacing after all and this would cost more, and the rotten fascia would be repaired then. Gu-Wi had already come out and cleaned all the old gutters and told me they were fine at the time!
After the roof was done, I got up into the attic to take a look at their work - I found split boards all along the roof line. The boards holding up the new roof were ripped and shattered all along the roof vent. Now I assume that when you make a roof vent, you don’t just smash the boards apart. I took photos and sent it to the company - they replied that this was from the roofing nails and it's very normal. ZERO addressing my concern, ZERO discussion, just condescending and mansplaining.
In the end, I had another company give me a quote on the real guttering and they were very honest about the process and what we should do around the property. They showed me the whole job and they completed it well and quickly. I had a carpenter repair the roof boards that were shattered.
Even in billing, Gu-Wi didn’t send bills that matched the contract. The numbers were all wrong. After months of contacting the billing department, they eventually changed the numbers to reflect the contract amount owing!
I can’t say enough that this company was very hard to deal with, did a poor job and if you have read this far, you know I would not recommend them.
