Landscaping reviews in Seattle, Washington

If you know what you’re looking for, it’ll do. WSN has the Bed, Bath & Beyond issue: too much stuff. It’s overwhelming. You can’t see the plants stuffed on the shelves. (I wonder how many plants they lose when they are stacked like that?) The gift shop is stuffed full too. It’s not a great experience when you can’t get around the aisles, have to navigate with your fellow customers to shop and good luck needing a cart to shop with - ‘cause there ain’t room for it! You’ll need to step outside to the street if you want to have space to think. Disappointing that they didn’t upgrade the tiny, irritating parking lot when they did their huge renovation. Parking is always nuts - can’t image going there on a sunny day or a weekend. Great staff though! Friendly and knowledgeable. It’s too bad they don’t have room to serve the customers. As they say in garden design: less is more.

They have such a nice variety of different plants! They have an even better variety of cute pots for them to go in! All of the staff is very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable regarding their service and their plants. Any question I had They were more than prepared to answer it which I feel is hard to come by with most nurseries. I wish they were closer to my home so I could visit them more often!

The best plant shop in Seattle, dog friendly, has a cafe (and pup cups), great prices, selection and more rare indoor plants. Staff are kind and helpful.
Update: thanks so much for the staffs knowledge and patience as I am now an outdoor garden too! -
It's a tad on the pricey side, but everything I've gotten here has sustained and is thriving outside of a couple that died due to my doing. Team members are all friendly and willing to answer questions.

Very good collection of plants at affordable prices

Absolutely fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful people. More than enough people. Beautiful plants. Friendly customers too.
The place is amazing. -
Much bigger than it looks from the street! Very friendly staff.

I just started to have plants after many years of fear of them dying. Every time I go to the nursery they’re kind and explain with tons of patience what I need to do and how to do it. The staff is always welcoming and willing to guide you to the best of their ability.

Usually have great experiences here, but can't say that any longer. Rushed here from work 20 minutes before closing at 6:40, was waiting to ask a question for 10 minutes, and when I asked for help, employee was very rude and said he was unwilling to help since it was close to closing. It was 6:52, and I had already been waiting for 10 minutes just for one question. Makes me question why I rushed here after work to support a local business. If you close at 7, you can at least answer one question at 6:52...

Generally poor quality of plants here, we’ve lost arborvitae, jasmine, bay leaf, pretty much everything we’ve purchased. Also I purchased what was supposed to be kumquat, but turned out to be rootstock… really very disappointed, I’ve tried hard to like this place but unfortunately will not be returning

This is a local gem! The plants are high quality, the staff is very knowledgeable, and the inventory will have anything and everything you need including a great selection of gardening tools. The nifty-gifty side has beautiful house plants, decor items, and coffee. Highly recommend!

I took a terrarium making class with Eva and it was such a blast! She is incredibly knowledgeable about the composition and all the plants we used. What a wealth of knowledge! I had so much fun and hope the nursery hosts more events like this.

This is a great nurse. Fun place to get plant's

My favorite Seattle nursery, by far. Great selection (love their native plant section), super friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great little space. I always make sure to stop by when I’m in West Seattle.
-
It’s not cheap, and it’s easy to drop a lot of cash here, but the selection is the best in West Seattle. I’d gladly trade some of that selection for lower prices though, especially on ceramic pots. Prices at Fred Meyer are much better for pots, but get the actual plants at WS Nursery. The new gift area is nice too.

Cafe on site with some pretty tasty drinks.
Very busy today. -
Best garden center I've ever been to.

I just visited for last minute Christmas shopping. Couldn't be more wonderful. I love the West Seattle nursery.

Love this place. They have been apart of WS for generations! Helpful and kind hearted staff. It's also a great place to bring the little ones to explore different plants and flowers. Bought some string of turtles and a cute lil pot today. :)
