Josh did a terrific job installing our fans. He worked quickly and efficiently assembled and install the lr fan. The bathroom fan was also efficiently installed.

This is the 2nd time I’ve used Sequim Valley Electric. This time they wired up my home to accept a generator for our frequent power outages. It was way less expensive than I anticipated! Thank you Martin and Andrea. You are absolutely first class.

SVE has done several projects, both big and small at our home in Port Angeles. Legit and legal, always on time, on budget, clean and friendly. They are my go-to guys for all electrical work.

Great experience from start to finish. Chandra was thorough and acommidating setting up an appointment to scope the job. Martin was thorough, on time and very clear. I was able to get an appointment in less than 2 weeks. Josh was on time, had everything he needed and completed the job, of wiring 2 mini splits to my breaker box, faster than the estimate saving me about $500. These guys are great!

I engaged Sequim Valley Electric to replace a dryer plug and other minor work. On Monday, 11/4, their employee showed up and completed those tasks. When he was finished, he asked if I wanted him to clean up the debris from the wall installation or to place the switch plates and I told him I could do that. Later when I tried to place the plate on the side-by-side toggle wall switches I could not line up the screws, the two were not evenly lined up. I called the employee the next morning and explained the problem. (Here is, for me, where the wheels came off!) He advised me to take a screw driver and loosen the screws and push “really hard” to line them up…then, he said that if that did not work just turn off the electricity and do it. I did so reluctantly but it did not work.
I called the office and relayed what had occurred but that it was not urgent. The next day I received a call from the co-owner of the company. After listening to my explanation and my reasonable expectation that a quick stop by their employee could remedy the problem, she offered to reduce the “mandatory” service call from $150 to $125! I tried to talk and respond as politely as possible but expressed dismay that a business owner felt a service call was needed to correct a slight mistake by an employee. She disagreed and eventually hung up on me.
Such a simple, simple issue so easily resolved for good will. Another service corrected the problem in 2 minutes….no charge!

Josh at Sequim Valley electric did a fantastic job installing an exhaust fan with light in our small bathroom. What used to look like a cave is now a well vented well lit bathroom. The work was performed with excellent workmanship and finishing. Definitely would recommend Sequim Valley electric.

After receiving my third review request I decided to do one. I can't speak on the type of work they do because I cancelled my appointment. My experience with the owner was negative. I called Sequim Valley Electric in the afternoon on a Tuesday and was scheduled for the next day with an arrival time from 9am to 11am for a minor issue. The night prior to my appointment I was able to find and fix my problem. In the morning I called to cancel my appointment around 8am and was told their policy does not allow refunds of the $99 deposit I had made because cancellations must be made two days or more prior to the appointment. I asked to have the owner call me because I wanted my money back. What I got was a bunch of gibberish in several TEXT messages. I was offered a credit for any future work. Then I was falsely told the technician was in route. Then finally, I received a copy of their policy that requires a two day cancellation notice. I understand and can accept a trip charge, if a trip was made. How is it possible to cancel an appointment made the day prior, two days in advance? In this case, there was no cost to them. In the end, it felt like extortion.

I am very impressed and satisfied both by the quote experience, which was performed by Martin, and the actual work done by Josh. I wanted to install EV charger, replace external outlets, install a recess outlet behind my TV, and have ground and neutral wires correctly connected within the electric box (previous owner didn't have it correctly done).

Martin took his time to understand my concerns, propose options, and gave me a reasonable quote. It was a very pleasant experience.

Josh came in to do the actual work. My wife was leaving to Seattle and I was on a call interviewing a candidate. Josh got started and worked around my call (30 minutes) by starting with external outlets. Once I greeted him, Josh continued the work on the remainder of the items, checking in with me for input (what outlet covers to use, where to install the charger). His work was neat and he cleaned up everything after he was done.

Sequim Valley Electric has definitely won me for future business by raising the bar and truly being customer obsessed!

These guys, Andrea Martin & crew, do a great job, reasonably priced & best of all, totally trustworthy. On small jobs I don't bother with estimate. Big jobs I have to sure it budgets otherwise it's not necessary.

We lost power on our overhead fan and light for the kitchen stove and also the kitchen light, I tried to locate the bad connection myself but was unable to find it , I called Sequim Valley Electric and Josh showed up right on time and it didn't take him long to trace the wire and locate a bad light switch, very professional and knowledgeable, will defiantly be using them again .

Andrea did a great job having Josh a great technician hook up our hot the day after delivery and two days before hot tub techs showed up to teach us how to balance the system. Great job and great value as well.

An excellent experience start to finish! From our phone call to request service, to the emails, estimates for required service, to Josh arriving promptly at the time scheduled, It was 5 star service all the way!!

Justin came out within one day of calling to quickly repair my outdoor light fixture that was falling out of the wall. It only took him 15 minutes to replace a broken holder clip and have it screwed back on the wall. I was relieved it was done before the rain tomorrow. He was polite and knowledgeable.

Martin and company are very nice people and easy to work with. They resolved all our issues in a timely and efficient manner. I definitely recommend.👍

I emailed Sequim Valley Electric describing the various electrical issues I had that had been neglected or left unfinished by previous handyman and now that my elderly mom with alzheimers was living with me, I needed to make sure it was safe. I was given a date & time for someone to come by and give me an estimate. When Marty arrived I showed him the light fixture hanging in the kitchen and told him of a breaker that was dead. He immediately began testing outlets and asked if I had any new outlets he could use. I apologized about the house being a bit cramped but had just sold my mom's house as she could no longer live alone or take care of things. I had to move everything to my house, garage, shed, etc. He became irritated by the lack of immediate access to an outdoor outlet. I threw everything on the patio. In the house, he pulled the sectional into the.middle of the room then began insulting my home because the furniture was in the way. The irritation grew and I found myself apologizing over and over. I didn't know he would be doing any work that day. I had been told an estimate at which time he would tell me where he would need clear access to upon start of job. He finally said he couldn't work here, and how no one would work without access. At this point I had literally been reduced to tears. As he walked to the door he said he'd send me a bill. Then left. I still have the light hanging in the kitchen & no electricity in 2 bedrooms. I sent a message to his office who had been very attentive and eager to get me an estimate. Never got one. Was advised to hire a handyman and told how much stress Marty has been under from work overload. She had several suggestions of others I should call upon. She was going to have their other electrician come by at the end of the month to see what it would take to finish up. I haven't heard back and there us 2 days left in the month. I only gave 2 stars due to the initial response from the office staff. Very quick to get back to me and get an estimate and start date set up. But I normally don't pay people to come in my home and begin insulting it and pushing my furniture in the middle of the room, leaving it there. Leaving kitchen light hanging from ceiling from bare wires. I'm now looking for another professional to wrap all this up. I am already stressed and p/o'd by someone who was paid yet left things unfinished and my tools in the rain. I am hesitate to call someone else. I don't need criticism, I need help.
