I utilized MV Landscaping recently to landscape my backyard at the property I just purchased. The backyard was nothing more than weeds, uneven grades, and moss. Hung provided me with a quote that met our budget and desire to transform the backyard into a relaxing and attractive atmosphere for entertaining and living. His crew was polite, the job was done in a timely manner, and I will continue to use MV for our future projects. I have already given his number to others, what a great experience, thank you Hung!

Hung and his crew did an excellent job taking out our front and back lawns and replacing them with edging stones and pebble gravel in the middle. They also relocated the underground sprinkler system as needed. The whole job was done in about 5 hours. They showed up on time, worked tirelessly and efficiently, cleaned up spotlessly afterward. And the bill was remarkably reasonable. We would hire them again. As it turned out, several of neighbors subsequently hired them for landscaping jobs and were equally satisfied.

Mike and his team were great. Mike was courteous, on time and professional. We discussed my plans and he explained what they can do. And wow! I have a beautiful yard again.Your Team lead Gilbert and his crew were wonderful. I highly recommend MV Landscaping. Mike, thank you!!!

SHORT VERSION - Don't waste your time getting a quote. Scheduling is a pain, and you'll get a low ball offer that won't be honored.

LONG VERSION - After seeing the good reviews on here, I called MV to get a quote for regular yard maintenance. I should have known it was going to be a disaster after the owner failed to show up for our first appointment. But stuff happens, so I decided to give them another chance...

After a multiple delays and rescheduling, I was finally able to get MV out to see my yard and give me a quote. The price they quoted was fair, so I informed another competing company that I had decided to move forward with MV. Unfortunately, the quoted price ended up being a low-ball bait-and-switch tactic...

Despite the owner seeing my yard first hand, MV sent out one of their "partners" to look at my yard again before starting the work. After another round of scheduling issues, the partner finally showed up, only to increase the originally quoted price by 60%! On top of that, they wanted to do an initial visit for $800 in addition to their regular monthly fee. When I told them I wasn't interested in the initial cleanup, but might still be interested in the ongoing maintenance despite the inflated price, they told me they were "too busy and no longer taking new clients"! The entire process was a terrible experience and a massive waste of time.

Professional services for both replacing front yard landscape and removing moss from concrete surface, very detailed. Happy customer here!

We are very impressed with the extremely high quality and great value of the work that MV Landscaping has done for us! They arrived when they said they would, did a fantastic job, and the price was very reasonable for the quality and amount of work they did! The crew was professional, skilled and really great to work with! We highly recommend them!

After securing several bids we hired MV Landscaping to build a decorative concrete block retaining wall to create space for a new rose garden. Hung designed and bid the project, and Gilbert and his crew of three workers showed up on time , built a very solid and attractive retaining wall, imported and leveled topsoil, and cleaned up very professionally. We would definitely hire MV again. We had a solid 5 Star experience.

This is a new review, 6.11.25. The original, 2 years ago, is below and starts with "MV Landscaping installed..." I contact MV Landscaping yesterday for help with an urgent sprinkler system problem; an emergency because my house is listed for sale and landscapes matters! MV was to my home just 2.5 hours later, diagnosed the problem, and returned late afternoon and fixed it! They also reprogrammed my drip system to an appropriate setting for summer and to accommodate current state of the shrubs (bigger:)) it serves. Technical excellence, always professional, and they care. 5 Stars for MV Landscaping, LLC.

Original post: MV Landscaping installed a new valve set for my sprinkler system, reconfigured several sprinklers (location and spray), removed a portion of yard/grass, and put in a new, very large drip system around my back yard. The price was reasonable and the workmanship was excellent (effective, efficient, and on time). In addition, which is worth a great deal to me, they've returned as needed to make adjustments and did so as soon as possible. Notably, the adjustments were to correct something I'd done, not them, and in one case, to repair a broken pipe a different contractor had ruptured. I will continue using MV Landscaping for my landscape needs and highly recommend them.

Called MV for the first time June 14 2025. Owner answered and said he was driving and asked that I text him. I texted him a few minutes later asking for an estimate for xeriscape landscape and asking for days and times he’s available. 27 hours later on June 15th I had not received a response. So I again texted the owner on June 15 asking if he can still let me know when he can come over to give me an estimate. He called me and said he could be at my house on June 16. On June 16 he came to my house to assess and measure my lawns. Before he left he asked me to text him my email address so he could send me his drawings and estimate. I texted him my email later in the day on June 16. On June 23 the owner texted me to let me know he was still working on my project. That was the last time I heard from him. If the owner of this business doesn’t want to do business with me I have no problem with that. But what’s the point in telling me he will get back to me with an estimate, but instead of doing that he just disappears? And how is it that an accredited Better Business Bureau member is able to conduct business like this?

Nice guy. Came by and checked out my sprinkler system for me to see what was going on, free of charge. Other companies wanted to charge but he didn’t. Came out within 15 minutes and wasn’t trying to sell me on something I didn’t need. I’d recommend this company and will reach out to him when I need work done in the future.

MV Landscaping (Hong) did a fantastic job on my backyard. They have a good crew and are well equipped. Hong gave a good quote for the project and the crew did a great job. Showed up on time, cleaned up at the end. Great experience with Hong and crew. I highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

BEWARE!!!!! Do not trust him!!!!!! He got me with his “I trust you” attitude. And now I’m having to re-do half of what he was supposed to do!!!
I completely fell for his attitude. I showed him exactly what I wanted, drew him a picture, so there’s no issues. He said everything was great, and we agreed on price.. I asked if he wanted down payment, to pay for materials, he said “I trust you”, so he did project, and did a decent job initially…The main things were done. But then he asked for money before job was complete. We found out he doesn’t take cards…. Which Is my fault for not qsking in beginning, so all we had in our house wqs 2 thousand and gave him that. And said the other $400 we’d give when he fixed the issues I showed him…
He said ok,… but that’s when texts started saying again I needed to pay more for “changes”… I sent pic again, saying this is what is what you quoted from beginning. That is he started with “I’m a bad “person” and said he wouldn’t finish.
I broke my L1 & L2 vertebrae in my back. So I’m unable to do that hard work currently.
So I have to now hire another company to “finish” his job.
I just want others to know, do not trust him.
He really fooled me with his “trusting” act. And I couldn’t believe when I told him to plz fix the very front, since I’m unable, he kept being rude.
We had 6-7 people come to quote our project, and I’m just angry I fell for him.
AGAIN PLZ BEWARE!
And now I had a diff company see what it would cost to finish… and I found out he didn’t even finish what he said he did….. I have weeds growing in bark dust. So I reached in and found he never did landscape fabric completely.
I just don’t understand treating someone like this…

Crew arrived on time and got right to work. During the job, they needed to replace my old irrigation controller to add the new zone. One person ran out for parts while the rest continued to work. Area graded, new zone installed, sod layed... all in less than a day. Super happy and still am one year later. See before and afters :)

They even used the left over sod to fade into the existing sod on the other side

Hung and his crew did a great job on our project. They removed the grass and set up the planting area neatly and in line with our specifications. His communication was excellent. I look forward to working with him and his crew on the next stages of our landscaping project. Prices were very reasonable.

MV Landscaping did an awesome job on my backyard. They installed river rock with a stone border, sod and expanded my patio 5 feet. Great company and quality work throughout.

UPDATE: They've reached out regarding to the problem. Came over and resolve the problem by adding more rocks to level out and cover the ground. Really appreciated to make things right.
