David and his team installed completely new ductwork and insulation under our house, which involved removing all the old ductwork, insulation, plastic ground cover and two defunct old furnaces. This was a big and nasty project. The team completed the job efficiently, timely, and were very professional. I was always kept informed of their progress, any delays and the reasons, and the cleanup job was excellent. The job took about 6 or 7 working days, as I recall. Cleanup was done at the end of each day. Before and after pictures were provided. I would recommend this company to anyone, for both service and installation. They also installed a new furnace for us at another time.

Dan, who owns Vashon Heating and Cooling, has been providing excellent service for over thirty years. Unfortinately furnaces do not live forever and mine died. Within days I had a new and more efficent furnace and so far am seeing lower heating costs. Thanks Dan and all the crew at Vashon Heating and Cooling.

We requested a bid for upgrading our heating system in our house to a heat pump. Dan responded promptly, came when he said he would and was very professional. We ended up using another company but I would not hesitate to recommend them. Jim R

I recently had a heat pump installed by Vashon Heating and Cooling. It was a complicated process because it was dual zone and involved duct work. Vashon Heating and Cooling did superb technical job. And their customer service was equally excellent. I’m delighted with my new heat pump and the overall experience.

Vashon Heating and Cooling installed a new 5 ton Bosch Heat Pump after our old Lenox Heat Pump failed in the 100 degree heat in 2021. The installation and set-up were excellent. Top installers, technicians, and customer service. They are efficient and everyone is nice. I have used their services for 15 years.

We had an old oil furnace that was overdue for replacement and Vashon Heating and Cooling did a fantastic job of providing an excellent value with a modern and efficient system. The new system required some adjustments to the location and ductwork that added a little time to the install but the system functions perfectly, We couldn't be more pleased with the level of service and attention to detail provided by Daniel, Mario and Matt and highly recommend them for future work.

Super service of new heat pump with air cleaner plus a new hot-water heater and expansion tank. Very thorough work to include application of rebates and registration of new equipment. I didn't have to do a thing. For all work that was done, price seemed reasonable. Extremely capable and knowledgeable, not to mention friendly people. I highly recommend Vashon Heating & Cooling.

Overall through the years we have been very pleased with the service provided by Vashon Heating & Cooling. The administrators are polite, friendly and very professional. The service we received this time though was less than stellar. We used them twice in a short period of time, one due to an emergency with our water heater and another for a very small gas fireplace insert maintenance. The service on the water heater wasn't fixed and the service person didn't offer much advice in the moment to help get it working again. In the end my husband fixed the issue by turning down the temperature of the heater by a few degrees. The second for the fireplace was done quickly and even though they did give us a discount of $30 they still charged for a very quick job, less than an hour, $250. I do really appreciate their services on the island but it felt like, this time, we paid out a lot for very little work.

We've had Vashon Heating and Cooling maintain the propane stove that's been our only heating source for 17 years. And we had them work on our previous house for years before that. Their technicians are always on time, skilled, and efficient. When it came time to install a whole-house, forced-air heat pump system, there wasn't a question of who we'd hire. We wanted a local company we could trust to do good work and not to cut corners and that'd be around for after-installation maintenance. They completed the installation a day earlier than promised and have provided the local, after-installation support we've come to expect from them. They're an example of what excellent skills and service look like.

Vashon Heating and Cooling are the best in class HVAC company! Their work and customer service is hands down superlative. We bought our house last year and had to redo the heating and insulation. We were in a hurry and I went with a different company off-island who charged a lot but ultimately cut corners and were difficult at times when I asked to come fix issues - hard to schedule and asking for nearly double. About 7 months later I started having respiratory issues. I became worried it was due dampness and rodents in the cellar. I took to Google and local recommendations to seek out a different company to diagnose and improve our HVAC - it was a great decision to go with Vashon H&C.
Aaron came out to review things from a project management side, Mario came to do the technical inspection, and Jana coordinated from the front desk. They were so open, friendly and proactively helpful! They found so many of the issues that the previous company had missed or had done a shoddy job on. After the inspection the team (even the owner were concerned about my health because of the rodent and damp issues and leaned in). They went above and beyond to come with a great plan to fix the key problems quickly, and during the work even found a major problem in the plumbing - the washing machine had never been hooked up to the black water pipe!
I want to give a special shout out to Aaron for being amazing throughout the whole process - he is a proactive, professional, and kind project manager. He would text me weekly updates as people and dates lined up, and did several follow up checks to see how we and the system were doing.
I'm not sure how exactly to communicate how much people who are competent and caring meant at a time when I was having trouble breathing, freaked out about rodents and how to deal with it all. The best analogy I can think of is that it was like having the best doctor who listened, understood, worked hard to resolve the problem, and then did regular checkups without you having to call them first. For me that's the dream healthcare scenario for myself and my house.

Great island company we having been using for years. Very knowledgeable with clear, upfront pricing. Techs and office staff are very professional and friendly. They provide clear and timely communication throughout all services. Would highly recommend.

Dan and his crew did a great job and were very pleasant and professional. Dan scoped out the work and provided me with a detailed plan and enough technical information to allow me to make a good decision. Jana set up the schedule and managed the logistics. Matt and the other two installers (I didn't catch their names) arrived on schedule, worked with care, cleanliness, and precision, and did the job as planned despite torrential rain. At the conclusion of the job they took the time to show me how to operate and maintain my new system and to review the owner's manual. When the rain stopped and I went outside to review their work, I was beyond impressed. They built a nice platform for the new compressor, covered the cables and the other lines from the compressor to the interior unit, and routed conduit around the exterior of my home, all with quality and precision that you just don't see every day.

We recently had to replace our main source of heating, and Vashon Heating & Cooling did an exceptional job. We opted for a mini-split, and the entire team was prompt and professional. We especially appreciated Aaron's help as he navigated us through the process. Everyone, from Aaron to the installers to the electrician to Jana at the home office, was fair and helpful.
