Showed up with no warning while I was not home (I their here for the power company), blocked both of my driveways and workers just sitting in the truck. Work started after I took some pictures (15-20 minutes later).

The large 50+ year old trees on Bender Ave in Lynden are being destroyed for what? No sidewalk buckling, just needed trim around the power lines. Locals are orate

Came by without notice, tried to remove a tree that was not supposed to be removed, made a mess, and smashed a glass bird feeder leaving glass everywhere.

These guys just busted their tails getting the trees trimmed at my place on boston harbor rd. Impressed by the hard work and quality of their work!

One of their trucks was speeding through a school zone

They cut trees for my neighbor, but they dragged the trees through my backyard without permission and destroyed some of my wife's plants, and there's a driveway between the two yards. They also cut the trees up in my driveway and left a mess of leaves on the driveway and backyard.

They were blocking my driveway and the garbage man from picking up my trash. We complained to them in person asking them to move three times. They weren't even working on my trees, they were at the neighbors house. Workers were disrespectful.

They should train their employees on what it means when a bus is stopped, and has their stop sign out and their lights on. Just watched two of their company trucks plow through a bus with a stop sign and their lights on this morning on Cherry Valley Road. Absolutely ridiculous When kids were crossing the road and getting on the bus. Waiting for a minute or two all the kids got on the bus wouldn’t of made you late, not cool at all.

As long as you don't care about productivity in a timely fashion, then I'm sure they're great. Maybe. All I know is that they are very very slow at what they're doing. Its really not rocket science. Start the chainsaw. Cut the branches. Don't hit the powerlines. Simple stuff. Are these guys getting paid union wages? They work at the speed of smell. And there's a lot of sitting in parked vehicles while on the shoulder of roadways with lights on that doesn't do anything but slow the traffic driving by before any work is started. The only thing separating them from having, literally anyone else trim foliage from the powerlines, is that they have a bucket truck to reach higher areas and a tow behind wood chipper. That's it.

Got paid in advance for the job. Never did cut the tree down. Asked whats happened but they ghosted me. Dont trust this company

Terrible hack job, left cut branches everywhere, broke tons of lower healthy branches that didn’t need to be cut because they were carelessly cutting away. Seemed like they had no knowledge of tree/plant health. Blocked my driveway and got mad when I parked next to my own house, then they aggressively said “you’re just going to leave your car there???”. I was inquiring why we weren’t told in advance that they’d be cutting our trees, one worker said “we just do what the company tells us”, meanwhile the other worker said “you should be thanking us, you’re welcome”. I feel like my question was quite valid and didn’t need a snarky response, yet it seems like disrespect and laziness is pretty common throughout the reviews of this company

Asplundh Tree Expert Co: Experts in Showing Up Unannounced and Ruining Your Day

So I’m sitting at work, minding my own business, when my Ring camera goes off. I check it, and there’s a guy standing at my front door like he’s delivering a pizza, except instead of pizza, he’s got a chainsaw and a bad attitude. He says, “You need to move your truck.” I say, “I’m not home.” He says, “We’re here now.” Like it’s a hostage negotiation and time is of the essence.

I tell him, “You didn’t tell me you were coming.” He says, “We don’t do that.” Which is a bold business model—just show up, demand things, and hope the universe cooperates. I say, “You’ll have to come back.” He says, “We can’t.” So now we’re in a standoff, and I’m losing from 10 miles away.

They say they’ll work around the truck. That’s generous. What they meant was they’d play a game called “How Close Can We Drop This Branch Without Technically Touching It?” Spoiler: they lost. Repeatedly.

These guys took an 80-year-old tree—majestic, full of life—and turned it into a haunted coat rack. It looks like it got mugged by a group of angry beavers. I don’t know if they were blindfolded or just emotionally detached from the concept of trees, but the result was the same: carnage.

And when they were done? They left. Just left. Like a bad date. No cleanup, no apology, just a pile of limbs and a “talk to the utility company” shrug. I called to complain, and they basically said, “Not our problem.” Which is weird, because it was very much their problem when they were demanding I move my truck.

To be fair, they did take most of the big branches. But they left behind enough splintered debris to fill my yard waste bin and ruin my entire Saturday morning. It was like a tree exploded and I got cast as the unpaid cleanup crew.

If you’re looking for tree work done by people who treat your property like a video game and your schedule like a suggestion, Asplundh is your team. Otherwise, maybe hire someone who knows what a calendar is and doesn’t treat 80-year-old trees like they owe them money.
