Woody and his crew did an amazing job. Woody not only kept us in our spot since Spring, for an October install, but graciously continued to work with us when we vacillated between having our front yard done or doing both front and back.
In the end, we decided to sod both front and back and we are so glad, but also very grateful. Woody’s crew were respectful and stayed on task. They came with every tool, supply or piece of equipment necessary to do the job right. No delay in sod arriving from Salem on time, either. They are artists and worked like a well choreographed company of dancers.
There is much more to laying sod down then plopping slabs of it in a row on the ground. They cut no corners in preparing and grooming the soil to a canvas-like surface, after which time, it was ready to receive the sod—the next day!This final day of work was also a sight to behold; we were so impressed by the care and precision with which each piece was laid in light of the whole job.
I also need to mention that their charge for this level and amount of work was very reasonable, in comparison. All in all, if we had to hire out this job again, we would choose Woody’s Custom Landscaping in a heartbeat!!!

Woody, Darren and the entire crew were fantastic to work with. I hired Woody to rip out all existing grass, old planting beds, cement blocks and edging, and one dying tree and relandscape. I changed and updated my design plans at least four times and Woody patiently provided updates to the itemized quote each time. They put in beautiful pavers in the front yard, prepped new and extended planting beds, added sod, and planted some new trees. They also fixed and updated the sprinkler lines. Everything came out beautifully! And the crew was friendly and communicative, so I always knew their plans and progress. Plus they cleaned up before leaving every day, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Woody's to anyone, especially if you're doing a large project and want peace of mind that it will be done right. Thank you!

Woody and his crew turned our muddy mess of a backyard in to a beautiful patio. It was a pleasure to work with Woody - great communication and response times from initial contact through completion. His crew's work is exceptional, paying attention to the smallest detail, and they did a good job of cleaning up each day before they left. We just had our yard renovated and landscaped by Woody's Landscaping, and we love it. We had gotten three bids on the job. Woody was the middle bid. We think his bid was accurate and reasonable. Of the three, he was the only one to take accurate measurements and give us a detailed proposal of the work to be done, the amounts of materials to be used, and a complete description of the materials. We also spoke with others who have used them, and good very good reviews. Woody worked closely with us in designing the landscaping to ensure it was beautiful and what we waned.

His crew was fast and professional. If we noticed anything that did not look just right, they were quick to change it to meet our requests. The crew was on site every day between 7 and 7:30 am, and worked until about 5 pm. Woody showed up usually 2 or 3 times each day to be sure the work was progressing as planned and to ensure our concerns were addressed properly.

If we ever have any landscaping done in the future, we will call Woody's Landscaping. We will also recommend him to our friends and neighbors. By the way, everyone who has seen the work have commented on how nice it looks.

Our family was very pleased with the work Woody's crew did on our back patio. We had 200 square feet of stone pavers laid from our existing concrete slab. The ended results was amazing. The crew was hard working, polite, and very professional. This is a no "Bull" company. We had several revisions from start to finish and Woody did no pressure us at all to go with the more expensive project. He even gave me pointers on several projects I was doing on my own. I highly recommend this company. Since they do a good job, keep in mind to plan your project at least a month out.

Woody’s did an amazing job in my small backyard. The workers were on time and did the job sooner than expected. Paver patio is beautiful. They also did a gravel patio with stepping stones. I would recommend their work any time!

We used Woody's to built a retaining wall on our side yard. They did a wonderful job making sure everything was how we envisioned. Communication was top notch, their workers were polite and respectful of our property. We cannot say enough good things about this company. We've actually even had neighbors knock on our door to tell us how great of a job our side yard turned out. Looking forward to using them again for our next project! We are very happy with the job and workmanship Woody and Darren have done with our yard. We brought in Woody's after our project went south with a previous contractor. Project included retaining walls, stairs, patio pavers, fire pit, low-voltage lighting and artificial turf and were all done to our satisfaction. This project was done on difficult site to work at with the work happening over three stories below the front yard grade. Their team worked diligently and professionally at all times. They were creative, thoughtful and detailed as they completed the job. They responded to our feedback and concerns in a thoughtful manner. There were no hidden fees and their bid was reasonable compared to other companies. I would recommend Woody's to our neighbors and friends.

We had most of our back lawn taken up and replaced with pavers, rock around garden beds replaced, gravel added along driveway and more. It was quite the transformation and every step of the way Darren was great to work with. His crew was hard working, respectful and regularly asked for feedback and genuinely welcomed input. Wow! What a positive experience. I had my 14X20 ft lawn removed due to years of mole damage and had a combo of turf & River rock installed. They did a wonderful job! I was worried at one point because of all the mud on my sidewalks but they cleaned it all up better than it was to begin with. They even put my fencing back up on the T posts! I'm super impressed. I got 3 bids and Woody's came in the lowest, that saved me $800 . Affordable and superb workmanship. I am one happy woman. Thank you Woody's! I will definitely be recommending you.

We had Woody's Custom Landscaping create a patio area for us in 2010. They prepped the area by digging down a couple of feet in some areas and leveling the area meticulously. They laid gravel and sand, tamped it down and again leveled the area. They installed pavers over the 400 sq ft area and an amazing seat wall, fire pit and accent stones. It looked gorgeous at the time.
The best part? It is still, 7 years later, in wonderful shape. No sagging pavers or chipped stones. No gaps or drainage problems. I am amazed and credit the skill and attention to detail of Woody and his crew. Thanks so much!

Woody’s Custom Landscaping completed a front yard re-landscaping project in October 2017 for us. We had five year old “construction grade” landscaping which were the typical lawn, one tree, and shrubs along the front of the house you get with a new home. Linda Myer of L Myer Design, created a wonderful hidden garden landscape design which included replacing the sidewalk from the driveway to front door with a unique paver patio/sidewalk combination, incorporating shrubs and trees to screen the neighbors driveway, and the complete elimination of a lawn to mow. She recommended three landscaping companies and we received bids from all three.
We selected Woody’s Custom Landscaping for our project for the following reasons: We left a message on their office phone and Woody was prompt in returning the call and setting up an appointment to meet with us; he reviewed our landscape design and agreed that he could install it as designed without problems; he made some suggestions for available options and listened to our desires in selecting options or not; and his bid was lower than the other landscaping companies. Once selected as our landscaper, Woody gave us his personal cell phone number as well as the number of his superintendant Darin. They gave us an anticipated start date about six weeks out which accommodated our schedule as well as theirs. Darin contacted us with an exact start date about a week out and they showed up on that morning with a team and equipment to start the project. Woody’s team was on the project every day until it was completed. Once completed they checked back with us to make sure everything was as requested. We had two issues, one with irrigation and one with a low spot in the patio. Woody immediately sent his irrigation and paver specialists out to address our concerns.
We paid Woody roughly half of the bid price on the first day of work and the final payment on their last day of work. They adjusted the final bill to reflect a $200 savings for not installing a second stone step which was in the design but not required as built. We did not ask for the adjustment, Woody just treated us fairly and adjusted the bill because it was the right thing to do. And that sums up our dealings with Woody and his team: although we had a written contract, a handshake was Woody’s promise and he lived up to that promise in every respect – communications, listening, meeting commitments, quality of workmanship, and finally cost.
We would use Woody’s Custom Landscaping again and can highly recommend them.
