Reviews of local pros in Morgantown, West Virginia

Called on Tuesday morning left a message. Received a call back that afternoon to schedule a meet for an estimate that evening. Andrew came to my house gave me an estimate, I accepted the very good estimate, he text me later said they would be there the next day. They were here at 8:00 am worked until the tree that was hanging over my house was down, cut up, and cleaned up by 11:00 am on a rainy day. I highly recommend Tri State Tree Service. Refreshing to work with a company that does what they say they are going to do and does it well. Also I liked the communication between Andrew and myself. He kept me inform and answered any question I had. Give them a call I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The Tri-State Tree Service crew removed a couple of trees and trimmed others on my property. They performed the job safely. One removal and one pruning job was very close to my house with some limbs hanging over my roof and they did it without damaging anything. They made sure I was satisfied with the amount of trimming they were doing on the trees that were being pruned and they cleaned up the debris and left my yard in good shape.
Communication was excellent and I could not be happier with the entire process from getting an estimate to the completed work. I will be calling them again for some work in the future.

Responded quickly after first contact, received estimate same day. Service provided the following day was fast and efficient, brought a crew large enough to handle the job quickly and safely, cleanup included raking the leaves from the treefall so no mess. Price was very reasonable for service rendered. Would recommend.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. I had a very large tree stump that no one would touch because of its location. But Andrue and his crew were able to remove it and did a wonderful job. Very professional and very friendly. Came when I really needed them. I highly recommend Tri-State tree service.

They removed 4 trees and stumps for me Very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them and would have them do more work for me.

We had two dead trees near our house that needed to come down and were bigger than we could handle safely so we called Tri State. Andrew set up an appointment and was at our house the next day. His team came within a few days and took the trees down for us, even dropping them exactly where I asked them to go! From start to finish, everyone at Tri State was professional, courteous and did a great job! I would highly recommend Tri State Tree Services!

The good: price was better than all competitors in the area.

The bad: communication was frustrating. The guy I was in contact with never called to schedule my tree removal so I had to follow up. And got super vague responses when I tried to schedule for a specific day and was told "we don't usually schedule people as we don't know how the week will progress". They also left a fair bit of a mess. My yard is completely covered in wood shavings and there are 2 large holes in the ground from where the tree fell that could have been dangerous if I hadn't noticed them. They also left shavings all over my driveway.

Overall: definitely worth it for the saved money but be prepared to follow up yourself and clean up after they're done.

Excellent tree service! I'm very happy with my experience with Tri-State tree service. I contacted Tri-State and they quickly came out and gave me an estimate. We scheduled to have the work done the following week. This team was extremely professional and worked together effortlessly non stop until the job was done. The job site was cleaned prior to leaving. I highly recommend this company! Great job!

Tri-State contacted me promptly after my initial inquiry for an estimate which I greatly appreciated. I chose them to do a tree trimming job on my property and I was not disappointed. They exceeded my expectations. They kept in communication with me, showed up on time for the job and did the job just as I requested. I would highly recommend TriState to anyone.

Had them out to give me an estimate to remove one large and two small stumps in my yard. They beat the other estimate I got by over $100. I authorized the work and it was completed same day! Great communication throughout the process and the work was done very well. The crew took care to make sure the wood chips were contained and raked everything when they were finished. I will use this company again in the future.

Had 8 estimates given for a giant oak tree to be cut down and removed. Estimates ranged from $1100-$3300 (5 being under $1500). Andru (owner) followed up with me after sending the estimate. He worked with me on price and did the job within 2 weeks AND on a Saturday (which was my preference).
Time given to arrive was between 8am-9am and they showed up at 8:30 LOL. Cut my tree and cleaned everything in the yard. Wouldn't known they were there (accept for the missing giant Oak).
Very happy and will recommend him and Tri State with anyone. Sidenote: you will get two estimates from companies that are not fans of Andru (and they will both be on the highest side of the estimates).
I believe Andru to be a worker. He works hard to get paid and satisfy the customer - even weekends. His estimate was beyond fair compared to all I received and made the right decision.

Andrue and his crew removed a huge poplar from our backyard at a very reasonable price. Access was limited but they made it work. They communicated with us throughout and were punctual, fast, efficient and respectful. They cleaned our yard and all of our neighbors’ yards on their way out. Highly recommend them!

We called and received a call back same day (that’s unheard of in this area). He was able to price immediately. After I accepted the bid he was there with a few days. They did a very clean job.

I had a large Sugar Maple tree 45-50 ft. high cut down by Tristate Tree Service in Morgantown, WV, with Andrue Csutoros. Andrue came to our home on Sunday, 8/18/24,to give us a free estimate. Three days later on 8/21/24 it was taken down by him and his crew. It was done very efficiently in two hours and 10 minutes. Throughout the whole process, Andrue and everyone in his crew were very professional and pleasant. His company has excellent equipment, including a man lift so they are not just hanging from the tree with climbing gear. They also thoroughly cleaned everything up after the job. Their price was actually lower than the other two estimates we received. Both my wife and I were very happy with everything. I highly recommend this company.

One word: AMAZING. Can't say enough about the job they did or the guys. Very professional. I can't believe how well they cleaned up. Having them back to do couple more trees. GREAT JOB Andrue and team!!! Second time (8/2025) to have Andrue and his team back. 4 trees cut down and just as amazing as before. If you don't get price and satisfaction from Tristate, there's something wrong with you. 👍👍👍

Andrue and his crew were here and ready to work by 8:00. They did a great job of cutting down the trees and cutting back some limbs. They cleaned everything up beautifully. Very impressed with the crew and the job they did. I highly recommend Tristate Tree Service.

I am very satisfied with the removal of a large tree in my backyard. They did excellent work and they were polite and professional. Also, the price was reasonable. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with Tristate Tree Service. Quick reply to my request for a bid to trim some very large pin oaks, showed up when they said they would and work was done in an exceptionally professional manner. Andrue and his crew were great!!

Tristate Tree Service just pruned a huge Pecan tree in my yard.
It is beautifully shaped and ready for spring!
Every limb, branch, and twig has been mulched and raked up.
I don't think that lawn has ever been prepared so well for the approaching season.
This is a timely, responsible crew
that worked every minute.

They did a great job removing a tree for me and cleaning up! The price was fair and everything was done very professionally. I highly recommend this company for all of your tree cutting/trimming needs!

We had to have a massive stump from an old Maple tree ground down. Andrue from Tri-State Tree Service came out, removed the stump and its massive root system. He refilled the ground out area and cleaned up our yard and even our front porch. I am very happy with this service and highly recommend the company and its quality work.
