I was very pleased with the cleaning person they sent me. Her name is Michelle. She was very attentive to my needs and did a great job. I have scheduled future cleanings to be done by her every other week. I would highly recommend them for any of your cleaning needs. If you can ask for anyone, ask for Michelle. She will do an amazing job and she is very pleasant to be around as well.

This is our first experience with Thoro Clean. Linda was pleasant and easy to talk with when coming to the house to meet and give quote. She and Kayla worked continuously and thoroughly while at the house for a deep cleaning. Totally recommend them for your house cleaning needs.

I skipped a month while updating my kitchen, when finished, Jess did an amazing job on the whole house. I've had a couple of their cleaners and both were very courteous and did amazing jobs. I worl a lot and it's a great thing to return to a clan house.

“Unprofessional Communication, Poor Execution, and Disrespectful Follow-Up”

I booked a cleaning as a gift for a dear friend who has been under a lot of stress. She has supported me deeply, and I wanted to return the care by helping her feel better in her space.

My first red flag was the lack of clear communication. After my friend initially reached out on Facebook, I followed up by phone (which went to voicemail) and then by text. When they called me back, the representative was in a very loud environment, which made it hard to understand details. I was asked to text my information, which I did, and I was careful to clarify that I was paying for someone else’s home and would be handling payment directly.

I never received a formal confirmation. No email, no follow-up, no written acknowledgment of the appointment. Several days later, I had to text again to find out when the cleaning would be happening, and only then was I informed it was scheduled for May 27 between 11:00–12:00. This time was not discussed or approved. I finally received an invoice the day before the cleaning.

The cleaning team texted my friend 20 minutes before arrival to say they were coming early, without checking if that would work for her. When they arrived, they didn’t greet her, as they were engaged in their own conversation. She asked them to focus on floors and light fixtures. She has a small home, so this was not an unreasonable ask for a three-hour clean.

They stayed for only 1 hour and 10 minutes. They did not vacuum. They did not touch the light fixtures. One cleaner had to redo tasks after the other, which made it clear one of them was in training—something never disclosed to me. Regardless of whether they were working simultaneously or not, this was not 3 hours of labor by any reasonable accounting.

I texted with my concerns. I received a phone call where I was immediately talked over and corrected at every turn. I was told their time-tracking software showed 3 hours, that the cleaners “don’t use vacuums on rugs,” and that my friend “never mentioned” the light fixtures (she did). I said that a return visit was not welcome, as my friend didn’t feel comfortable. I had to say this twice. The representative then hung up on me.

She proceeded to text me three more times after I had asked her to stop.

I ultimately paid the full amount (no tip), and then sent a final message asking that communication end, expressing that the service, professionalism, and follow-up were far below industry standards. I’ve worked in this field for years. I know how good cleaning businesses operate. This wasn’t just a poor cleaning—it was poor communication, poor boundaries, and poor accountability.

I’m writing this review so others don’t go through what we did. I believe in uplifting small businesses, and I often go out of my way to support and recommend them. But respect and reciprocity go both ways. This was a disappointing experience on every level.
