Bloch Appliance Service

We made an appointment with Bloch (based on a neighborhood Facebook page and those suggestions) to take a look at our non-draining washer. This was the second time they came out for two different washers we were hoping this would be a better
experience from recent reviews. But alas - in hindsight we should have learned ourlesson the first time. We replaced washer #1 on 2/14/0021 based on the diagnosis that
it would be too expensive to repair.

11/10/2023 - For washer #2, we were more conscious. After a delay past our 3-hour appointment window, the technician arrived, opened the door to our laundry room and immediately said – “oh yea, there are known problems with this brand.” Suddenly our ears perked up - this sounded awfully familiar to the last time he was out here for the other washer (same tech).

More then once the phrase ‘these Chinese made machines’ was uttered. The final diagnosis was a bad ECB (Electronic Control Board), and $161.36 later was told he’d check on parts and get back to us on Monday.

Monday afternoon came a voice mail.
“Calling you back about your Chinese made GE machine”, where he tried looking up parts over the weekend and while he found bits and pieces, he’s convinced that nobody “has parts for these Chinese made machines” that we needed. If they did it would be so expensive that we’d be better off just buying a Maytag or Whirlpool. Without confirming– I’m going to take a guess that Bloch sells those brands?

While willing to pay for a pinpoint diagnosis - turns out after a little research, we were able to find a GE manufactured ECB for just over $110.00. After arriving, installation was about 15 minutes, and we were on our way to clean laundry!

My wife and I recently had an issue with our gas stove. We called Bloch appliance in Cedarburg to come out and fix it. The technician, Carl showed up on time, was very professional, diagnosed and fixed the problem in short order! Carl was great as he answered all the questions I had and when he was done, the stove works just like new! Our stove is a Jennair that is almost 20yrs old. It was great having someone who could work on it with no problems. We recommend Bloch Appliance Service to anyone who wants professional service at a fair price.

Talk to a technician on Monday night gave me a couple things to check those weren't the problem. Technician came Tuesday Morning diagnose air conditioner compressor was bad. By the end of the week had a new air conditioner in and running. The the guy installing kept busy until it was done.
