HVAC reviews in Cedarburg, Wisconsin

These guys came out to my buddy’s house - got him completely squared away and saved him from getting entirely ripped off by another company. Thank you!!

Got off to a bit of a rough start with a very frustrating discussion with their front line customer service rep who didn't seem to really want to help, but the manager called back and is making things right. They have installed a A/C and boiler system for us in the past and it appears to have been done very well with clean routings (for a 100 year old house).

Technician arrived (Alan), spent three minutes looking at the dryer before he walked out saying he was going to his truck to look something up. He left and never came back. We called and were told he would call with an update.....it's been a week and we still haven't heard back from anyone. I would not recommend anyone to this place.

Carl was late getting here, he said he could not find anything wrong in the 5 minutes he was here. He said some stove just smell like gas, charged me $72.74 for the 5 minutes and did absolutely nothing. I Do not reccomend at all. Total rip off since I posted my review, the office people were so nice and helpful... problem is resolved. Thank you

Sarah was very unprofessional describing the service area exaggerating “where in Milwaukee”. I spoke area code 53222 and she mention Capital Drive I stated I live North of Capital Drive. Then Sarah referenced Hampton Ave. I didn’t understand or wasn’t able to follow her. She obviously had service areas limiting the Milwaukee area but it was not described well and she did not explain except they do not service areas South of Hampton which is vast. I don’t understand why she didn’t just request the address then state it’s outside of the service area. Instead were in Milwaukee was expressed. I feel she was unprofessional and did not explain the company service area well.

Was bring my fridge to them, they said they going to call me to let me know how much it’s going to cost to repair it. After a week I call them to check what’s going on with my fridge, lady said the guy who supposed to fix it didn’t even look yet, and we will call you tomorrow with answers. Two weeks no calls, after that I call again, another lady said the same, next day gay call me back and said “I will take a look tomorrow and call you back”! After another 10 days no call me back I come to them to take it. They said we don’t know where is it.

They are out go to for HVAC needs. We have rental properties and they call tenants to schedule with them directly then bill us! Super easy. Always quick. Appropriate pricing. Knowledgeable mechanics.

I had another local HVAC contractor tell me that I needed a new furnace, and it would cost me thousands. Called Randy for a second opinion, and in under 30 minutes, determined I only needed to replace the secondary heat exchanger. The part was under warranty, and I got my furnace up and running for only a couple hundred bucks. Save yourself time and money, and just go with Bloch.

Very bad service experience with the technician who came to the house to repair a dryer. When I asked him to wear booties, he refused. Then When I asked him to at least take off his shoes, he said, “ I don’t take my shoes off for anyone”. After that he got angry and threw his bag in the truck, and said “I’m out of here!” He was very unprofessional and his behavior was worrisome. I would never have someone like that in our home. Some neighbors were outside and witnessed his behavior. We called Bloch to report this and have not heard back.

I had a service tech from this company come to my home to service my LG refrigerator on July 18, 2020.The service tech said i needed a new icemaker, and did not know how long it would take to get it, due to Covid. I hadn't heard back from the company, so i called them in November. The receptionist told me i would just have to wait, and that other customers were waiting longer then me. I called the company again in February, 2021 and was told that they had no record of a part being ordered or a work order for me. I will never use this company again.Very dissatisfied.

Called on Monday for my washing machine that wasn’t spinning. The tech was scheduled between 1:00-4:00 pm on Tuesday. He called me when he was 20 minutes away (around 3:00). Arrived on time, wore a mask. Diagnosed and informed me that the repair would end up costing as much as replacing the machine.
I appreciate the honesty and was only charged $75. And my personal belief is that while I spent $75 to be told that they can’t help me, I didn’t waste $100s on trying to fix something that won’t last.
Looking to buy a new washer but I will always recommend using this service in the future. -
My LG washer needed to be repaired and this is the Company recommended from the LG site. I sent a request through their website and called first thing Monday. The first available appointment was Thursday from 12-3. Around 2:45pm on Thursday, I received a voicemail that they were too busy and we were even lucky to have gotten appointment. They said they would be out the following Tuesday to look at my washer. I will find a company that wants MY business and VALUES my time..

Brandon did an outstanding job with our air conditioning system and found the problem immediately. This company is interested in fixing problem not selling you new equipment or guessing what the problem MIGHT be. Thank you Bloch for a quick diagnosis.

My first experience with Bloch was back in January 2010, called them for a 2nd opinion after "1 hour heating & cooling co." had told me I had a cracked heat exchanger & needed a new furnace. Bloch sent out a tech (Jason) to take a look at my furnace. Result...new igniter. Thank you for the great service and honesty.
Second experience was today 2/15/2016. (YES I CALLED THEM FIRST THIS TIME!!!) Going to need a new secondary heat exchanger...Brandon the service tech made some calls & after checking with the company owner & a thorough check with supply house, found out I would be able to get mine replaced under warranty. This is on a 1994 furnace. between him and the owner I think they pulled some strings for me...maybe ...Either way this is GREAT customer service!!!
You hear about a lot of scamming out there & deceitful practices. Some companys would of charged me full price then turn the part in under warranty any way. After a fairly quick R&R of the secondary exchanger ,which he had to go pick-up, showed me the bad one, did a careful examination of the primary exchanger while it was out (the one that 1 HOUR HEATING & COOLING SAID WAS CRACKED 6 YEARS AGO). Brandon cleaned my furnace, put everything back together, cleaned up the work area & had my furnace running in just a few hours from when he first walked in my door. OUTSTANDING SERVICE + An honest company. = happy customer.

Can't say enough GREAT things about service experience with Bloch. Eric Bloch knew our failed refrigerator was an emergency and followed up w/us on part order, proficiently doing the fasted repair possible. A++++++++

My dryer was not working properly so Eric stopped by to inspect the situation. He suspected the vent ductwork was plugged up so the dryer was still heating up. He came back another day with new ductwork and attached it to the main vent which which my situation was rather complicated. But the dryer still wasn't working properly so he came out gratis and looked at the situation again. Bottom line it was neither the dryer nor the nearby vent but rather incompetent roofers that failed to install a dryer vent cover in early December when installing a new roof on our 8 unit condo. Within three weeks of the new roof being installed it snowed heavy plugging up the dryer vent.
I'd also note that Eric fixed our LG ice maker. The refrigerator/freezer is only 2 years old so Eric suspected the unit was frozen rather than busted. So acting conservatively, I thawed the freezer unit to see if it'd start making ice on it's own. It didn't work so Eric came back out and installed a new ice maker. I appreciated Eric's follow through on both projects. I've been impressed that Eric is not eager to suggest an expensive solution when another conservative solution might work. -
I have had 2 service calls (furnace) at my home in the past 2 years. Randy (owner) came out for one and I don't recall the name of the person who came for the other. Both times, they were prompt, knowledgeable, reasonable, and fixed the problem exactly. Randy also helped me figure out another problem in my basement (plumbing!), he knows all kinds of stuff, just ask him. I recommend Bloch Appliance 100%, they do good work.

I had an appointment scheduled from a Technician to come look at our washing machine from 12-3pm last week. I asked that they call ahead of time so I can know a better timeframe. 3pm rolled around and nothing. Then as I was about to cancel the service tech showed up at 3:30pm. So as if the 3 hour window wasn't enough, they were still late. The part that is beyond frustrating is the technician came into the house, hit a combination of washer buttons, heard that it sounded like bad bearings and due to the service cost of the repair we were advised in less than 2 minutes, we are better off replacing the unit. I am fine with that part, I appreciate the honesty. What I didn't appreciate is getting slammed with an almost $80 dollar charge for literally 2 minutes of service of which was late. This was a regular service, not a weekend or emergency call, regular service. That price is outrageous and out of courteousy of being late I would have even thought there would be consideration to discount the inspection. I wasn't expecting it for free, but at $80 for 2 minutes, that equates to a $2,400 per hour charge!!! Stay far away. Not punctual and outrageous prices.

I had Bloch install a furnace at my home. The cost was competitive with the other bids I received. They arrived at the planned time and finished the job before 4:00 PM. They left the area around the furnace neat and clean. The furnace and new thermostat are working great!

I am keeping me original 1 star review below but adding this amendment. Someone from Bloch called me to discuss the review and explain the actual reason behind why they can't order the part, not that the stove isn't made anymore but rather they only use certain distributors that they know they can trust and the PART is on backorder with no ETA when it could possibly be back in stock. I can completely understand that in today's supply chain reality. I just wish that would have been explained from the start. Bumping this to 3 stars purely based on today's phone call, and the professionalism that the lady showed. She took time to listen to my concerns and gave me their side. I still stand by the 1 star for the service I received from the repairman though. As long as I didn't get the same guy, I would consider using them in the future. See below for original review:
Our stove stopped working and had them come out to look at. The repair man smelled absolutely horrendous, he must live in a cigarette factory and our house smelled for the next day. He did absolutely nothing for the 45 minutes he was here, just looked at and pressed a couple buttons. I had to tell him what I found on the internet for the issue. He then left and said I would hear back. I had to call multiple times over the next few weeks with no response. He finally called me back and said that the oven was no longer made and the part wasn't available because of this. Our stove is 2 years old and you can still buy it brand new. After a simple Google search, I also found the part at multiple different places. -
A power surge after a recent storm took out my refrigerator. I was referred to Bloch who ordered the needed panel part, quoted a cost and installed it when it came in. This was handled promptly and professionally. The fridge is working just fine now!
