We had a bad experience with this company. Very poor customer service and communication. We felt like they didn't care if our problem was fixed or not. We will not be calling them again.

Attempted to contact for service, before I was even able to describe the problem or need for service the (presumably) owner stated "yeah I'm going to pass".

No reason why he was "passing" offered.

Employee parked his truck in front of my house when working on neighbors blocking me from parking when I got home. When asked to move his truck so I could park, he responded with "why don't you park somewhere else and I'll move when I'm done, okay?" Very rude and unprofessional. Wouldnt want anyone like that freely in and out of my home. Look elsewhere.

We have been relying on Dick and Kurt Woodburn and Preferred Heating and Electric for nearly 20 years...and over 3 properties. Their service is timely, prices are fair, and whether it be a new A/C, furnace issue, pool pump or any other issue, the work is always done well. They are always my first call.

We have always had the best experience with Preferred! It started with our old central air unit needing service, the day before a major holiday. Very prompt service. Since the unit was so old, we had them bid a new unit on the house plus putting one in at the separate garage.
Had the house unit installed and the garage one the next year.
We have had nothing but great service!
We just had them upgrade the house to 200 amp service while also having Alliant bury the wires to the house and garage. Everything went smooth and never a problem. In fact this was done earlier than when they expected to be able to do it.

I highly recommend Preferred. We hired Dick to help us with a remodel project. We removed a wall causing the need for one of our returns to be moved. Dick came in promptly, was a pleasure to work with and did a great job. He taped off all areas to prevent air leaking and it looked great! The return is nice and quiet. Thanks Dick!

Talked to Kurt. Instead of coming out and charging me for nothing, he guided me to check something. When I checked, it resolved the issue. I appreciate the honesty.

I had Preferred Electric & Heating out to do some electrical and heating work. They are excellent! Great prices, Friendly and their work is top notch! Highly recommended them!

Kurt did an excellent job coming in under his quote which was already drastically less than the other quotes I had gotten. My original breaker box had corroded due to water seepage into the box. Kurt replaced the box with a 200 amp unit for literally a third of other quotes I had gotten.

I would recommend him to everyone I know looking to have electrical work done. Thanks for saving me thousands Kurt!
