My mom always went to Stein's for everything, and now that I am finally into plants as well, I am amazed at how large their selection actually is. Definitely the place to go for most gardeners in the area.

I buy my house plants here and they are always great quality. Only 4 stars because the pricing could be better compared to other stores.

You would think a pandemic would force a retailer to reconsider its floor model & store policies. I limited my visit to minutes due to the lack of attention to appropriate measures to ensure the public & staff safety. There was a clear disregard for social distancing. I had to ask an unmasked staff member to not approach me & told him specificity why. Staff must not be required to wear face masks as it was a 50/50 mix. No plexiglass installed to protect cashiers. I didn't see any hand sanitizer stations throughout the store as promoted (may be near cashiers). Hours are not provided for the at risk community. The majority of clients were not wearing face masks. I will not return & encourage others to take their money to a business that cares for their staff & clients.

I stopped in to get a basket of flowers for my balcony. If you do not like geraniums or petunias (I don't) you would be out of luck.
I walked around and finally found a basket with flowers I did like but it was $30.

I decided the cheaper alternative would be to make my own basket and proceeded to search for some potted plants all the way over on the west side of the yard. The search for potting soil took me to the back of the yard (bags too big) and then back inside the building for a smaller bag and I still couldn't find it. I suggested to both clerks that they put it up front - where people check out - but my feedback was met with chuckles. Frustrated, I abandoned my cart and left the store without anything.

I had respectful service from a mature woman after I told the young woman I would not check out with her because she didn't wear a mask. I asked why not -- just because she didn't want to. How insulting - you wear a mask for others, not for your SELFISH self. To the credit of Steins, I know they provide their employees with masks.
Due to the respect of all others in the store my experience was probably worth the excess of $100 I spent.
The second Steins on Watertown Plank has a rude woman answering the phone. She short-circuits you and hangs up without a good-bye.

Always have some of the cutest Christmas Decor and already marked down! So many great gift ideas, definitely worth a stop and shop.

They have so many plants and all their plants looked very healthy, well watered and prices were good. Very helpful staff as well.

Perfect for the gardening season. The coco multch was missed this year. But we made it thru they gave me some good advice. My advice if you dont have mulch for ur garden. Give up once the plants get big enough. The weeds might get big just pull the ones that look like monsters. Otherwise it will be ok. You would pull ur hair out before getting it perfect. Nothing wrong w a coupme weeds inthe big garden. This year we learned only the biggest will win and the others are nothing to worry about. Thanks stiens helpful crew.

I NEVER post reviews....ever, but after a repeat experience of poor customer service, this is my 1st post.

I purchased a coil hose as a gift for my parents to water indoor plants. Turns out there's too much pressure coming out of the hose for indoor plants, so i went to return it on the last day i could with the return policy

Jennifer at the service counter called Lori the mngr without explaining her concern to me. Said in front of me that there were water drops at the end of the hose and the washer was out (not uncommon to just stick back in). If the hose had been trialed and didnt work for the purpose intended, of course water would have been in it. And no i couldnt return it sooner bcuz my parents live 4 hrs away and i dont see them often to get it back.

Ive never experienced a store looking so hard to not except a return. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

I gave 2 stars instead of 1 bcuz i love their plants here, but once this in-store credit that they offered me is gone, i don't know if I'll bother.

Sorry for the long post, but it makes me so angry to be treated like that......and with all of the money I've spent here for so many years. Shame.....

I love Stein's. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They always have so much to choose from! I think their plants are top quality and everything they sell to go with it is always great to get everything in one place.

Steins is always a fun race to visit. Huge selection of plants and garden decorations. Theres a Weber grill selection that's pretty impressive. A huge selection of orchids, bird feeders and bird seed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of parking and handicap access.

Never will shop there again. Terrible customer service. Went today and asked a question about pricing on plants and before I could even get two words out the cashier told me she didn’t know the price so she couldn’t tell me if they were 75% off or not. I continued to tell her the price on the tag and she interrupted again. Then tried to buy something that was in a sale area and was told it was not on sale and the cashier called the manager who did not let me explain just said no not on sale and walked away. Awful customer service.

They had exactly what I needed! I was hunting for garlic bulbs to overwinter & container plant for winter growing. The only place in the area which had bulbs in stock still! Employees were very helpful, and showed me exactly where things were located.
