Electrical feedback from Marshall residents

Alliance Electric is a family owned Business that values good relationship and hard work

We had Wayne come out many years ago to do various things, and his work was fine. This time he showed up and refused to wear a mask before entering our home, so we sent him away. We had a relatively complex job for him to do, and there’s no way we are going to endanger our family when there are lots of other competent, respectful people we can use instead. I read another Yelp review that apparently he had a bumper sticker supporting conspiracy theories, complete with antisemitic tropes. Just yuck. 0/10 do not recommend, and in retrospect it makes me feel unsafe that we ever had this person in our house.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is GigoPro free to use?

Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing electricians is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.

  • How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?

Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, actively operating, and actually performs the work it claims. For regulated trades like electrical work, we look for proper licensing, and we automatically hide inactive listings.

  • How do I choose the right electrician?

Start with ratings and recent reviews, then confirm the company is licensed and insured for your specific type of work. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes, not just the bottom line.

  • Can I list my business on GigoPro?

Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.

  • How often is the directory updated?

Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. For example, this page is reviewed and updated monthly.

  • Do I need a permit for electrical work?

Most significant electrical work — new circuits, panel upgrades, rewiring, and solar installations — requires a permit and inspection in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician handles the permit process and schedules the inspection. Ask about permits before you book.

  • How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?

Common signs include breakers that trip often, adding major loads (EV charger, solar, heat pump, new kitchen), or still having a fuse box or a 100-amp panel. A licensed electrician can assess your panel and load capacity in a visit.

  • Are electricians on GigoPro licensed and insured?

Electrical work is regulated in every state. Ask each electrician for their license number and proof of insurance before work begins. Professional companies expect these questions and answer them without hesitation.

  • How much does electrical service cost?

Costs vary by job type, region, and complexity — there is no honest single number. Reputable electricians give written estimates after assessing the job, and comparing two or three of them is the best way to understand what your work should cost.

  • Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?

Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the electrician and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs help the next homeowners in your city choose well — and keep listed professionals at their best.
