I brought in Olson Heating to provide a second opinion on what was wrong with my year-old Carrier furnace installed by Harker. Olson ended up charging me a total of $380 to tell me that the venting pipe should have been 2.5" instead of 2". They provided the ammunition I needed in order to get Harker to correct the problem, but Olson performed no actual work on the furnace and thus I found the total charge a bit excessive. When I talked about this with Stan, he gave me the run around. Claimed he would "check the GPS for the actual time spent there". He never followed through. I ended up paying the bills and moving on.

Summary: yes, they are more competent than Harker. However I wasn't happy with the final charges nor the communication about the charges.

This company refused to even come look at my LOCAL work to be done, and hung up on me. Silly of my to think about supporting my local contractors. I do not recommend this company.

We had a Carrier Central Air system installed in our farm house and a couple of emergency service calls. Stan and his service people were timely in our situations, straight forward, and easy to work with. I have recommended them to others.

We purchased a house that had the heating installed by Olson a few months prior to our move-in date. It was September when we moved in so we didn't need the heating right away. When it came time to turn it on we found that it didn't work, so we called Olson. They said that they wouldn't charge us to come and fix it since they did the installation so recently. We should have got that in writing because four months later we got a bill for over $200 for the work they did (which took less than an hour). We certainly will not be going back to them for future service.

Very quick and efficient. I had an air source heat pump installed with heating and cooling. The work was completed in a timely manner with effective communication.

Charley knows his stuff and is very responsive. Fixed two unrelated issues in one visit.

Brandon was on time. Completed the work as requested. Replaced a couple condensation lines upon request. Siliconed an outdoor A/C line as requested. Very good job. Recommend Olson for other folks.

Scheduling was easy and they were here within an hour and a half. Technician was great and knowledgeable. He was professional, explained the problem and fixed it quickly. Highly recommend.

Our AC Blower quit working at the worst time, during a hot spell and also when I was in the hospital. My wife thought maybe I could repair it but it was beyond my current state. I said we need Olson's Heating and Cooling for this one. Not only was the motor bad but also the control circuit board. Olson's had me enjoying our AC in no time. We very much appreciate their sticktuidness, having both the board and motor go bad was unexpected.

Stan Olson (and crew) are knowledgeable, skilled, and very reliable. He installed the Trane furnace in my home. The company has a yearly maintenance plan which keeps it up to date and running well. I am very pleased with the service!

Our geothermal system stopped cooling our house during a freak heatwave. Called Olson and they sent a technician out to take a look the same day. Thankfully it was an easy fix to unclog the condenser drain. Now we are no longer drenched in sweat!

My furnace stopped blowing warm air, which I didn't realize until 6 p.m. I called anyway and Stan answered. He assured me someone would respond first thing the next morning, and Mike arrived by 9 a.m. and promptly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Always great service!
