Water Damage Restoration reviews in New Berlin, Wisconsin

I was concerned when I noticed evidence of water damage and mold in my finished lower level. Service Master promptly reviewed the situation noting that the damage was caused by moisture not water from the outside-in. They recommended a couple commercial dehumidifiers to reduce the moisture in the air. They also set me up with a recommended contractor (Patriot Drywall) to fix the dry wall damage and seal/paint the walls stained from water and mold. The dehumidifiers, while not cheap, improved the air quality immediately and the Patriot Drywall team did a first class, thorough and professional job refinishing my bathroom and fitness center walls. I feel so much better thanks to the SM and Patriot Drywall teams.

Service Master has been the go to team for our community issues. They have responded timely and taken the time to explain all the requirements for each community to the managers. We appreciate the honest and through approach to getting the team the information needed for decisions and timely implementation of action. It has been a pleasure to work with the team from New Berlin while being able to cover our remote communities. The extra effort the Owner, Mark Cyganiak, has taken to keep our communities operating has been appreciated. I will continue to use them as needed, not that we want to have them at our communities, but it is good to know you are in great hands.

We had a large oak tree fall on our house June 2020. Damage included replacing roof, windows, gutters, and inside ceiling. They worked with State Farm making the process seamless. They keep appointments, return calls, and provide necessary paperwork. Staff is great to work with! Would recommend them.

Mark and his team are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Excellent communication. They assisted the company I work for on two separate occasions, in two different locations (WI and IL). Very responsive. The fact that they can help me cover multiple states and not have to hire multiple companies, is a huge plus. I will definitely use them again for any commercial or residential needs.

TERRIBLE - DO NOT USE. We had a small kitchen fire. Not big but big enough to be a pain!! We were originally quoted almost $10,000.00. Not sure if that is a lot or not. We changed our request to be only the kitchen, dining room, sunroom, living room, and a sectional couch. We even removed all.personal items and furniture so it was out of their way. We did leave the 5' x 7' rug and told them that we left it so they could wipe their shoes. They never moved it to clean the flooring under it, but we were charged for that. Did tell them this on the 2nd day, and they cleaned it. We removed all light switches, outlet plates, and can lights as we were going to replace them. We even removed a wall but was charged to clean both sides. There was anothet wall that had splattered mud and they didn't clean it as they said it was blood. It was not. Had to tell them to clean it. Lower kitchen cabinets still had dried food drippings and such that we later cleaned with a wet rag, same with floor spots. I went to pack things away in an upper cabinet that we don't really use and it was full of dust. The sectional was cleaned on the second day. The guy said that he could not steam clean it but he could wipe it down with Dawn dish soap and water. It only took 7 minutes. My husband was there and watched him. Didn't vacuum or anything, just wiped it down. But we were still charged the $420.00. 3 guys came the 1st day and were here for 6 and a half hours. 2 guys came the 2nd day and were here for 1hour and 45 minutes. It pencils out to be over $200.00an hour. They kind of had us. They required 1/2 down to start and required the balance before starting the 2nd day. Never again. I called and complained. Was told that he had to check into things. Never heard back. Called again and was told that they would be emailing us to set up a day to come back and clean the sectional with actual furniture cleaner but never heard from them.

When ServiceMaster was notified of our water leak problem they responded immediately and promptly cleaned up a hard job request which included underfloor area's. Definitely will call them next time when needed. Dave G.

Service Master Restoration to the Rescue! My elderly mother had a sump pump failure during heavy rains in September. SM came immediately and managed the entire project from start to finish. They handled all the subcontractors and scheduled everything through me so my mother didn’t need to worry. All of their subcontractors were as professional and thorough as the SM crew and they also assisted with getting insurance to understand and pay the claim.

I could not say enough positive comments about Greg Mahloch and his wonderful team. Due to a construction mishap, my basement flooded for the first time in 95 years. Since it never had flooded I had a lot of things on the floor, and had a part of my library in bookcases there as well. I also house my extremely large antique and vintage Christmas decorations there in several rooms.
Greg and his people realized how important these items were to me and took exceptional care when moving all of the shelving they were on and ensured that nothing was broken or damaged. They worked very diligently and went thoroughly through each room and cleaned and sanitized everything. Greg communicated extremely well and kept me informed on everything they were doing along the way and consulted and counseled me on items that were going to have to be thrown out. They removed everything that might have been contaminated and that was water damaged. It was a huge job and they did it so quickly and completely.
I was so extremely pleased with them and could only offer my most profound recommendation should you ever need their services.

Constant delays. Blaming others for the problems. Work still not completed after four months. Sloppy work - cement splattered om cedar siding, window frames, brick patio, and front porch. Pulled out electric outlet from house and left it hanging. Have been without exterior lighting for four months. Cannot use front entrance to house due to the freezing ice at night or pouring rain in the day. I feel there is a lot of discrimination going on here because I am a female. Workers show up only two or three days a week. Often they arrive late, leave early, and take very long lunch breaks. Giving one star is being very generous.

Nate Osheim arrived promptly, explained the carpet cleaning procedures and completed the job in a timely manner. He helped us by moving a heavy table so that the kitchen was clear of furniture. When finished, he helped my husband move item back into place with little blocks underneath the legs to prevent varnish transfer or rust spots. He was very experienced, knowledgeable and courteous. We will have our carpets steam cleaned again by ServiceMaster because Nate did such a great, thorough job! Thank you so much!

Angel and his crew were wonderful. Water damage repair was done in a professional and caring manner. Sergio the project leader was extremely responsive too!

My sump pump went out and caused some water damage in the lower level of my home. Chris Kellet, Crew Chief, and his assistants came after my phone call to assess damages and begin clean-up. Chris also talked with me in detail explaining the damages and options for and cost of treatment. He and his crew were very knowledgeable of the business and professional throughout the process. I also appreciated that they showed they really cared about my situation.

Our church has used numerous vendors to help maintain our facilities (church and two parsonage houses) but there is non better than ServiceMaster. Just had Ron Shattuck come clean the carpets at both of our parsonages. He was on time, got the work done in less than 2 hours and the carpets are amazingly clean! I am so pleased that we will continue to use ServiceMaster for all of our major cleaning projects.

Our water heater broke open pouring gallons and gallons of water into our finished basement. The wood laminate flooring was delaminating by the minute. ServiceMaster came in on a Saturday morning to help us start to get back to a dry basement. Ron and his crew took all of our worries to heart and made certain they did their job but still treated our belongings with respect. Thank you so much.

My insurance company hired them to come and fix water damage in the home. They came in and showed me the damages that need to be repaired and said that they were able to fix them. We did notify them that we are building and addition and some of the repairs may be difficult. Which they clearly seen when they came to see my home. Understanding and ready to take on the job. They came in ripped out some of the wall and flooring. There was extensive amounts of mold. I called them to notify them that they left large amounts of mold in the house. They came in ripped out the rest of the drywall. After they decided to rip my house apart they decided the job wasn't "big enough" for them to complete. They literally left my home tore apart. They sent me an email on top of that to notify me. No phone call. A email. Very unprofessional!

Our experience with Servicemaster was wonderful. Roy was a great person to start the ball rolling on our huge disaster. Every person on the job was caring,professional and wonderful to work with. Team leader, Chris was excellent. When he was pulled to head another job “ G” took over as leader and he was as great as Chris. The quality of people that are hired by this company are outstanding. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Extremely happy with water mitigation/reconstruction work done by ServiceMaster. Drew Brauer was especially helpful with staying in touch with me prior to the reconstruction being scheduled as well as checking up on the progress. Mark Pavlasek was also helpful in getting the project started as well as the mitigation work. I definitely would use them again in the future.
