I called for a service visit for our air conditioner. Ben arrived within 90 minutes and found a small broken wire. Good work, Ben. He was courteous and efficient. Recommend this company 🙂.

We've used Heating and Cooling Solutions for a few years now. They are dependable, knowledgeable and their technicians are amazing.

I have been a customer of Heating and Cooling Solutions for a few years now. I own residential and commercial rental properties in Racine WI. They have done new equipment installations and service calls for me.

I recently called them to fix issue at my fiancé's house. I spoke with Kristen. Technician came out the following day to address issue.

Upon arrival, the technician did some troubleshooting and found out our new nest thermostat needed a new wire. (He did not tell her that, but only it was missing a part.) He also did not mention a price to her.

After about 1 hour of work he was done. He invoiced her $179 service fee and then $199 labor/material fee. With both service fee's and taxes , all together we were charged $396.90.

Technician ran a total of 20' of wire (about $10 worth of material). Technician spent a total of 1 hour labor in our home. To be charged $368 plus tax in labor is a robbery.

I called the office same day to discuss. Kristen in the office said she would call me back once he got back to office. She never called back. I called the following day at 10:20am to inquire about charges.

Kristen answered phone call again. She was very defensive the moment she answered the phone. My 1st question to her was " what is included in the first service charge ($179 charge)"

Her response is " our service rate is told to you when you call. we also tell you what is included in that" I then asked her again what's included, and she repeated the same thing.

I'm not arguing their service charge (even though they invoiced me $50 higher than she should have) , I only want to know what's included with that charge.

I then ask about the work he did. Technician ran 20' of wire. He ran wire from thermostat through wall to basement. He then spliced new wire to old wire. He did not run new wire all the way to furnace. I feel if I'm being charged top dollar, work should be done correctly.

After explaining this to Kristen and being interrupted multiple times, she then tells me the cost of owning a business. She then says I can call her boss Todd at 630 am or around 6pm. I ask if she can leave a message for him to call me. She said he will sometime next week because he's so busy.

I own and operate a few small businesses. I understand how businesses need to cashflow to stay open. More importantly I
understand how to listen to a customer and treat someone fairly.

Charging someone $368 in labor for one hour is greed.

I woke up today to a freezing home, and with my daughter already sick and money being tight, I instantly had that nauseous feeling in my stomach. I called Heating and Cooling Solutions, and Todd, who I later found out was the owner, picked up the phone. He made it to my place with the parts needed to repair my unit and got my heater running again. He was very friendly, and I could tell he has a passion for his work. Joe arrived very fast when our A.C. went out. He did a thorough job diagnosing what was wrong with the unit and getting it up and running in no time! He was knowledgeable, kind and effectively communicated what was wrong- even providing tips to help in the future. Would certainly recommend.

It was time to replace our 26 year old furnaces and condensing units. We contacted Heating and Cooling Solution, and was very impressed by Chris's knowledge and excitement for the possibility to perform our work.
This energy carried over to the work as well. On the day of work commencement, a crew of guys, lead by Bill and Dave, arrived promptly as scheduled. They thoroughly communicated the their process and questioned any concerns we may had too. After two hard working days, they completed the task. Being in the construction industry myself, I was very impressed by their attention to installation detail and cleanliness of the clean up. Additionally, the guys came back a third day to provide me complete owner training and operations for the new iComfort thermostats and units. I could not be happier with our new Lennox systems and Heating and Cooling Systems. Heating and Cooling Solutions did a fantastic job and I strongly recommend using them for any residential replacement projects.

H&C Solutions are my "go to" for all my HVAC needs. They are professional, personable, and easy to do business with. Today I had a preventative maintenance check done on my AC, and got some much appreciated help with some ductwork. Great job Joe & Marie! Thank you!

This company has the absolute worst after care in the industry. If I could give less than 1 star, they deserve it. All of their technicians quit and went to work for the competitor. How do I know? The technicians told me. I purchased a unit from this company. Almost immediately after the install, I called 3 times to have someone come out and look at it. It wasn’t cooling the house. On the last call, the owner said don’t call me again until you fix the ventilation in your attic. $2k later the ventilation was fixed but the unit still couldn’t cool the house. Because of their poor service, I made calls to their competitor to come out and look at it multiple times. Fast forward 2 years to 2025. I reached out to Heating & Cooling to let them know the compressor went out…am I under warranty? I was told since I didn’t have the checkups done with their company, he wouldn’t honor the warranty. I didn’t have the checkups thru him because he told me not to call back.

Anyway, a competitor in town researched my unit and saw it was registered. They will honor my warranty through Daiken and only charge labor. This company could have done the same as they benefitted from the $12,000 sale. It was too much of a bother, I guess. First Call is a great company to go above and beyond for me when they didn’t even install the unit. I couldn’t be more thankful for a company that honors the “Golden Rule”, especially when it comes to Customer Service. First Call has a customer for life!

The entire experience went smoothly, from Todd coming out to provide options to the crew installing. David, Marie, Drew and Danny very courteous and left with everything picked up and clean. David provided good explanation of thermostat. Would definitely recommend Heating & Cooling Solutions.
