Landscaping reviews in River Falls, Wisconsin

Our experience with Chad and Pondering Gardens was exceptional from our initial meeting through clean up. His design was beautiful and dealt with our struggle to landscape our deeply wooded backyard where we had had difficulty growing grass on the slopes leading to our walkout area. He tackled drainage issues, as well as, giving us natural outcropping steps, boulders and flagstone walkway, plus a beautiful plan for plantings. Our backyard could now be a feature in a landscape or garden magazine. I would highly recommend Pondering Gardens. Bonnie & Tom

Pondering Gardens/Chad are one of my top five home improvement businesses in the St. Croix Valley. Chad makes sure the work that he performs is at the highest standards imaginable. We have hardscapes (walls, bluestone patio, edging) that Chad installed, that have held up for over 15 years. I would trust Chad and Pondering Gardens to work on any landscape project in our future. Thanks Pondering Gardens!! : )

Chad and Pondering Gardens have done our landscaping at two different homes over the year. Chad does a wonderful job helping us pick out flowers and shrubs and also just going with a vision we might have. Their work has always been very professional and Chad is the best to work with.

We hired Chadd (Pondering Gardens) to put in a water feature - about 25 feet from our driveway down a slope next to our deck. We have enjoyed this immensely each year. Chadd’s work was superb, and follow up service, when needed, has been even better. He planted a gorgeous weeping pine at the top of the waterfall and placed many sizeable boulders along the stream. His prices were reasonable, and I recommend him without reservations.

Our project had been started by another company, where most would have walked away, Chad rolled up his sleeves and brought our project to completion. We are forever grateful to Chad for his dedication and leaving us with a yard we can finally enjoy.
I would more than highly recommend Pondering Gardens to family and freinds.

Pondering Gardens did an AMAZING job with redoing our limestone stairs in our gardens. The workmanship, value and communication with this project were great. The results surpassed our expectations! We definitely plan to use Chadd and Pondering Gardens in the future for more projects.

I am very pleased with the quality installation of retaining walls in my yard. The design recommendations resulted in a much improved landscaped area. The crew worked productively and efficiently. I highly recommend Pondering Gardens!

We hired Pondering Gardens to do our retaining wall. They were wonderful, exceptional customer service and quality! We highly recommend them! They were here when they said they would be, and built us a beautiful new wall that will last for decades! So clean and courteous! Chadd and crew were great!

We needed a retaining wall and I choose Chadd/Pondering Gardens because of the excellent reviews and they weren’t wrong. Everything about our project from chadd getting back to me within 24 hours as promised to the finished wall was terrific. Throughout the entire project Chadd wanted to make sure we were satisfied and happy with how it was going. Excellent communication and excellent workmanship. Look no further for your landscaping needs, Chadd is the best.

Very fair price and actually showed up three weeks early to complete our job and stayed until he was finished. He and his staff were very friendly and professional. Great job Chad!!

Chadd was very knowledgeable, helpful, and patient throughout the design process for our paver patios, firepit, and steps, and I was very impressed with his quality of work and professionalism throughout the project. He made a point to check in with me to make sure I was happy throughout the installation period and made adjustments as needed. It turned out beautifully and I would definitely recommend Chadd and Pondering Gardens!

Chadd was great to work with. Very responsive to our questions and he was easy to work with. He did a wonderful job for us. I would not hesitate at all to recommend his business to anyone looking to have landscape work done. Thank you for your great service Chadd and team. We love our new retaining wall and rock garden.

We would highly recommend. Chadd worked with us on our design ideas and gave us great feedback. We appreciated the excellent service we received along with the quality of work. Our landscaping, retaining wall, and walkway paving turned out beautiful.

Chadd and his crew were amazing to work with throughout the entire process of landscaping our new home. He provided us a great plan within our budget and the results are perfect. He was so good at communicating with us during the different stages of the project - retaining walls, patio, trees and seeding the yard. He cares about his work and it shows in the quality of the product he delivers.

We are more than pleased with the landscaping Pondering Gardens did at our house. Chad was professional, timely and had a great vision for our retaining wall project. It looks better than we could have imagined. We would not hesitate to work with Chad and his team again!

Chadd did an excellent job designing and then executing his design on our new home build this past year. From material selection, presenting new ideas, working through challenges, flexibility working around home building construction crews - Chadd was awesome and on top of everything. I highly recommend using Pondering Gardens for any landscape job (large or small). In our case he did the rock walls, plant selection and installation, patios, water features, mulch and rock ground cover, and hydroseeding the yard. Everything turned out great, we couldn't be a happier with the finished product. Even now Chadd continues to follow up long after the work has been completed and his open, honest communication was perfect. Thanks Chadd.

Pondering Gardens did our landscaping design for our new home. Chadd stayed within our budget, listened to our likes and dislikes and gave us an excellent value. He and his crew efficiently prepared and installed all the landscaping and plantings. The end result is beautiful. We've received many compliments. And they've come back to add features -- again efficiently and with great results. I would highly recommend Pondering Gardens!

I wanted to take a minute to publicly acknowledge the quality work Chadd and his crew did earlier this month. From early on in the process (requesting an estimate), Chadd was extremely professional and helpful in lending his insight and experience to the project. After agreeing on a phased approach in an effort to keep costs manageable, we opted to start with tearing down and rebuilding three retaining walls as well as some minor grading work completed. Although the grading work was not planned for phase one, Chadd was able to work it into his schedule in an effort to minimize any additional costs associated with moving equipment, etc. In my book, this speaks to the kind of organization that recognizes the customer as valuable and lends itself to a long-term working relationship.

Not only was the work completed in a timely fashion, the jobsite was always well-kept, organized, and staged appropriately for the work being done on any given day. The end-result exceeded expectations and we will definitely reach out to Chadd at Pondering Gardens when it's time to get an estimate on phase two. Last but not least, the entire crew demonstrated a level of professionalism and friendliness that served to heighten the experience overall. I highly recommend Pondering Gardens for your next project involving a water feature and/or landscaping project!

Chadd was awesome! Had all the work done in 10 hours (he worked alone) and I'm so happy with the results! Super reasonable pricing and he's super knowledgeable!

Chadd and his crew completed the project in record time. Chadd was responsive to our needs and consulted with us along the way. The result is beautiful and hopefully will channel water away from our foundation.
