We had this company complete some roofing and carpentry repairs to our church school's roof. They were prompt, fair priced and good quality repair. Good quality people working for them.

This has been a horrible experience. Our project manager was changed four times in what was supposed to be a three mo. project. Every time I was expected to take an hour out of my day to show them what was going on with their subcontractors. They ordered the wrong wood, wrong paint color, tried installing cracked base molding. I have received a final bill with a statement much higher than what we were contracted for. They are trying to bill our insurance for mistakes their subcontractors made such as taking off the coating of our newly replaced flooring so it had to be done twice. Mind you they haven’t even done a final walk-through, no final cleaning, doors left off hinges, electrical outlets not covered (ie fire hazard). Wish I could post pictures here.

Ben did a great job installing several lights in my condo. He has an attention to detail that I appreciate. He was respectful in cleaning up afterwards. I highly recommend him.

We had some water damage and we were referred to Elcano Construction. From the start of the project to the end it was a pleasure working with Tom and Pete. Had an estimate from Elcano Construction for repairs after water damage/ insurance claim. Estimator had a price of $374 for a plumber to disconnect plumbing / remove vanity and $177 to remove vanity in a bathroom. I specifically questioned Mike who did the estimate as to why there were two charges for what appeared to be the same thing. I was told they HAVE to have a licensed plumber disconnect the plumbing so the $374 represents that work.
Never did a plumber enter my home! Instead the carpenter disconnected and reinstalled plumbing.
In a call to a supervisor I was told the company has has communication issues and recently fired one of the employees because of it. They did not know that the estimator wrote in for a plumber. Elcano’s resolve was to send out a plumber to check the carpenters work. When I asked if they would still charge for a plumber even though one never performed the work as agreed I was told the charges remain. I was told they had to pay for an emergency plumber call. Had I said nothing no plumber would have ever looked at the work. Bottom line Elcano will work from your insurance estimate and get as much money as they can even if it includes making up specialized work they do not perform nor review the agreement to the work performed.

I would highly recommend Elcano Construction. From start to finish, they exceeded all of my expectations on my remodel. Everyone treated me like I was the most important customer they ever had. I am looking forward to working with them on more projects in the near future.
