House Cleaning reviews in West Allis, Wisconsin

I've used Adelman many times in the past and been happy with the service. I had them come out in September and clean my carpets as usual. Three days after the carpet cleaning, I noticed a spot on carpet they cleaned that smelled mildewy. I spent the next month researching and trying every remedy (vinegar, baking soda, oxy clean, etc) that I could find recommendations for to get rid of the smell. According to my research, this is a common issue if the water is not fully removed during the cleaning process.

Finally, I called Adelman. The person who answered was rude and condescending and refused to acknowledge that this might have been caused by the water not being fully removed from the area affected. I got the same run-around that a previous reviewer did about some hidden stain being "activated". I know the difference between pet and mold smells.

I requested that they come and reclean the area. They said they would be charging me again. I asked to speak to someone else and was told the "office manager" would call me back. That was two weeks ago and I have not received a call.

Adleman says they stand behind their work, but clearly they do not. I will now have to pay another company to fix their mistake or else replace the carpet and pad that was ruined by their negligence. If you hire them and things go well, you will be pleased as I was in the past. But if there is an issue, good luck getting it resolved.

Your customer service is seriously lacking. Calling me disingenuous for posting a sincere and honest review is in poor taste. You do not stand behind your work. Everything stated in my review was honest and accurate. I called ONE month later, as acknowledged in my review, because I tried to solve the issue on my own. Then I waited weeks for a promised call back that didn’t come. I was formerly a loyal customer, as you acknowledged in your response. You could have worked with me to fix the problem. Instead your office has been rude and unprofessional.

I would not recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the service that Joe and Ben performed. There were at least 20 pieces of various pieces of furniture and others. These two men worked non-stop for 3-4 hours. They never asked for water, I made them take the 2 waters that I gave them. They deserved 👏 them. My client and I are very very pleased 😀. I used them some years ago and the service is still the same. Exceptional!! These two employees of Adelman really deserve 10 🌟 🤩.

I am very impressed with this the Adelman crew. The workers came on time, were polite, and did a phenomenal job on my carpets. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants this house spruced up! The quality of service is unmatched.

Adelman is the best carpet/furniture cleaning company in Wisconsin! If you want to go cheap and have somebody wet your carpet and look the same in two days go ahead! If you want to do it once.. and get the best value for your hard earned daller....call Adelman

I scheduled our carpet and my mother-in-laws carpet to be cleaned the same day ( yesterday) We were told 5 to 6 hours and the carpet would be dry. My 97 yr old mother-in-law had to sit in her kitchen the whole day and night as her carpet was soaking wet. We stayed in our bedroom. My mother-in-laws carpet was dry this morning however we cranked her heat up last night. Ours was still wet in areas even though our ceiling fan was on the whole time this morning. We still have some stains in the carpet. We called and left a message and they offered no solution. Were told the person that cleaned our carpet has been employed for 17 years. Now i am worried that the pad is still wet and will begin to mold. We will not recommend this company ever again.

Most of the time my family has had a good experience with this company, and we have been loyal customers for years. The most recent time (a few weeks ago), it seems that whoever came to clean our carpets at my parents house cut corners, they were supposed to move the couch and instead just lifted the couch and put the styrofoam pieces under to make it looked like the couch was moved. There were a few other spots missed as well, and It was expected the whole carpet space would’ve been cleaned, not just the visible walking space areas.
I would’ve preferred to give this feedback through email, however I couldn’t find an email on the website nor on the Facebook page.

Colin and Kenyati came early and expertly cleaned two rooms, a staircase and six large area rugs. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job.

Adelman did a thorough, efficient job of cleaning our carpets. We love how new our carpets look now. Plus, we appreciated their professional and friendly service.

They do both my personal house and my rentals, always reliable and extremely trustworthy. Pictured is a room from my rental, they save my carpet all the time!!

Just had my carpet cleaned by Adelman. It was the best cleaning job I ever had done. It really looks great. Used many other companies, but this one is best.

I am so impressed! We had HUNTER at Adelmans clean my mothers carpet. He got coffee stains out, graphite stains from a lift chair and all other stains. He was so impressive. Thank you Thank you for making my mom happy

I chose Adelman due to their website stating their techs underwent specific and ongoing training in working with various types of upholstery fabric, including cottons. Per their website a cotton upholstery fabric should be dry clean only. I inquired about service and stated the fabric of the sofa I was hoping to have cleaned was a cotton chintz; I thought I had found a good fit for a cleaning company given the above info and their ability to get my cleaning scheduled within the week. When the tech arrived, though friendly and on time, he surprisingly said he didn’t have very much experience with cleaning cotton chintz and would be using hot water extraction but would test a spot first and didn’t anticipate any issues. I explained that the upholstery was a specialty cotton, read him the fabric’s specs from the trade website, and asked that he please stop at any point in the service if it didn’t appear the fabric was handling the cleaning well. I had to go back to work after it took over a half hour to get the hoses up and the service started- so I wanted him to know it was ok to stop in my absence if things took a turn. Long story short, I came home a few hours later to cushions that now had color bleeding around the dark blue and pink floral print on multiple cushions and along the green cording. I requested to file a claim immediately and sent photos of the color bleeding on the cushions (as well as the photos I’d taken just before scheduling the service while collecting quotes from various companies that show their “pre-cleaning” condition). They reviewed the photos and said they would arrange to pick the cushions up to bring to the company warehouse to attempt to remedy. I had hope that they would handle this in a straight forward manner. After the pick up I heard nothing for over a week, leaving me to reach out again for a status update. The cushions were then dropped off, color bleeding still present. I then spoke on the phone with the company to discuss the next steps for proceeding with my claim after I was told they had done everything they could at the warehouse; again, still anticipating they would handle this in a respectful manner, I asked for a refund for the cost of service, as they have a damage clause covering only up to the cost of service, and was told they would move forward with my request and get back to me. I again went weeks waiting for follow-up before leaving a review. I have not received any compensation and my couch cushions remain damaged. I would not recommend this company for anything other than heavy duty microfiber couches and very basic carpet cleaning with my experience in mind. Update: I had several phone conversations and emails where I tried to handle my claim in a private manner before leaving a less than positive review, I was given the run-around repeatedly, but never given any indication that they did not plan to remedy the situation until they followed up on here to my review with claims that this was a “wine or juice” stain (which would be easy to debunk given the multiple locations with color bleeding- back/sides/tops and across cushions- and green along the green cording) along with the photos I had of the condition immediately prior to cleaning. Big disappointment in how they chose to handle this mishap.

We bought a new house and needed the flooring cleaned. Both carpet and tile. Adelman was quick to schedule us, explaining the cost of the work for each room or area. When the tech arrived, he was prompt and very helpful. He ensured that I knew what he was doing before he started and gave a rough timeline. He came back the next day to do the tile, and went above and beyond by removing a couch that the previous owners left. That particular needed extra care, so he was determined to get it clean. (Thank you Colin and Sam for taking the legs off and making sure the job was thorough). We will definitely use them again!

We had Adelman clean our carpets, 3 rooms, hall and stairs. The two gentleman that were here were professional, did a great job, efficient, worked on our problem areas as requested. Carpets look fantastic!

This family owned company does a great job. Don’t be fooled by the clown companies that talk about eco cleaning. It’s more like incomplete cleaning. Adelman’s cleaning is incredible!!! I cannot believe how well the cleaning was. I was worried that the carpet was too far gone, but it looks sexy!!!

We had our Family Room, Bedroom and Hallway cleaned. Ben did an awesome job and also with the refresh spray as well. Gave new life to the carpets and very professional, Fast, and Friendly! Well worth the service and glad to have made the call!

He did a wonderful job, he was very polite and professional, I would definitely recommend him and your company to my friends. He made my carpets look like they were brand new.

Tim did a great job cleaning our couch and armchairs that haven’t been cleaned in 5 years. Everything looks and smells fresh. And he even gave me suggestions on how to deal with a stain that kept coming back up on one of our chairs even after cleaning multiple times (teenager spilled coffee and didn’t tell me, just flipped the cushion to hide it).

Our 1st time using Stanley Steamers and Henry as our technician for carpet cleaning. After a quick walk through to see what areas needed service and if there were any problem spots he cleaned our carpets with top notch service. We could not have. been happier. Henry was an Excellent and explained everything and gave me some times. Provided excellent, fast, and complete service. We will definitely ask for "Henry" again for our next carpet cleaning with "Henry". Also note, they provide a host of other services. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!!!!

Heather and her team member were wonderful. Knowlegable and friendly. They worked fast and everything looks wonderful.

John was very friendly and got the job done at a timely manner. The price for a bedroom and stairs was very reasonable. I tried other carpet cleaners to come out on a Saturday with no luck. Stanley Steemer had no problem cleaning on a Saturday. Worked out great.
