So happy to report that when we used the landscaping service for several years before our move to FL, we had such an excellent experience. Heath was always accommodating and the staff were polite, on time and efficient. I would highly recommend them.

Just got taken by Dirt Works, would never used them again. I change my order from 3 yards to 2 yards and was told they couldn't do it because they had a 3 yard minimum. I cancelled the order because I didn't need 3 yards. They called me back and said they would make an exception and since I was so close, they would go ahead and deliver me 2 yards. I thanked them thinking they were doing me a favor. What they didn't tell me was that I was paying extra for the "favor". They increased their already extremely high delivery cost from $55 to $65 for the delivery but didn't tell me on the phone they were doing it. If I live 20 miles away, I would understand, but I live just 3.8 miles from their location and it takes them 8 minutes to get to my house. Which is why I thought they were doing me a favor. To be honest they did tell me the price would be $145 but never mentioned the increase delivery cost. However, I thought she said $135 which would have been the normal price. When the truck got to my house and I saw the price I was surprised. I call them and asked what happened. They said they had to increase the cost of delivery for doing me the favor. Again, I only live 8 minutes away. When I said they didn't tell me that, she said she told me the cost would be $145, which was true, but she didn't mention the fact they raised the cost of delivery. I expect tricks like this from seedy used car dealers but not from landscaping companies. I would be cautious about doing business with them. I have never left a review before but felt so bad about what they did to me, that I felt I needed to warn other people.

Heath, and his crew did a fantastic job replacing our retaining wall and fence. Very pleased with their service. Dirt Works will always be the landscape business I call!

Dirt works helped us remove a bunch of sidewalk from our backyard, level it out and layout a layer of topsoil to sod the entire backyard. Spoke with Heath mainly and he was very thoughtful with his approach and recommendations. We are extremely happy with the value provided, and as a residential realtor I will be recommending Dirt works to any clients I have with relevant needs.

We had an awesome experience with Dirtworks! We had an old retaining wall that had fallen. We were very pleased with the suggestions they made and the quote. Heath was very knowledgeable, honest and easy to work with. We have enjoyed working with him and his exceptional crew. They were extremely polite, professional and always on time They are very hard workers and left our driveway clean and neat while working! The retaining wall turned out much better than we had envisioned. They also took care of our drainage issues. Their workmanship exceeded our expectations!

10 out of 5 stars! Heath and his crew at Dirt Works did an exceptional job on my projects. They are all courteous, professional and approachable. Dirt Works performed 2 projects for me. I have a steep slope in my backyard that was eroding away and I wanted to make the slope not as steep. Heath took my vision and improved upon it. He took time to explain the process. He listened to my ideas and for certain situations, he presented a much better way of performing the task for a much better outcome. I also had a corner area I wanted to make into a flower bed. His crew installed a retaining wall and added topsoil. When a situation arose regarding the retaining wall that I wasn’t sure about, I spoke with Heath and his crew. Now keep in mind, I have absolutely no knowledge about landscaping ( I just have what I think are great ideas, many of which are unrealistic). As I was trying to convey my vision, Heath listened and presented some options; then out of nowhere he said, “You want a border, not a wall.” What a genius!! That was exactly what I wanted, I just didn’t know it. I highly recommend Dirt.Works & Bobcat Service of Birmingham. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable. They finished my projects in a timely manner (it would have been quicker if not for 2 days of rain) and they were respectful of me and my property. Thank you to Heath and all the Dirt Works crew.

If you are looking for material delivery do not consider this business. I called and set up a load of rock for delivery and they missed the delivery window. Thankfully I was able to cancel and a nearby competitor was able to to get me what I needed on short notice/same day.

We used Dirt works for our retaining wall and landscaping after our pool was completed. Top notch work. Heath always kept us up to date on what was going on with both projects. His team always cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful. Very impressed. Thank you Heath ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

We are so pleased that we chose Dirtworks to construct the compacted fill pad for our new swimming pool. From our initial meeting for an estimate to the final landscaping around the completed pool Heath, Collin and their crews have been flexible, professional and easy to work with so our project stayed within our budget as well as met all our expectations. We highly recommend Dirtworks for your next project.

Purchase our home Dec 2023 and it had an unusable front yard. We had all of the trees cut down in 2024 and then begun the planning of filling in the gully. We purchased the drainage culvert to adjoin to the yards to the left and right of ours. That’s where Heath and crew came in. He used his heavy equipment to keep the drain line in place, place fill dirt, compact and repeat the process until the pipe was covered and the yard filled to our expectations. Once all dirt was compacted and graded he placed in the drain basin and sodded it. It took 68 tandem axle truck loads of dirt and 14 pallets of sod. Came in at our price point. Heath and crew are very honest hardworking people. Highly recommended. Attached are the start to finish pictures. Our new yard is useable and beautiful.

Jonathan was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate and then started the job within days! My husband and I truly appreciated his excellent communication and hard work on the job! Crew did an excellent job with fall clean up, trimming hedges and cleaning gutters. The men were professional and friendly and left my yard looking neat and clean. Excellent!

These guys did a stellar job. The previous owners of my Jone left the back yard in a state that was only made worse by the pandemic since I couldn’t get people out for months. They tackled it like it was nothing. My front yard looks just as beautiful as all the other houses on the block. I will definitely be contacting them for any future yard work.

I had hard, rocky soil from hell and the work was great. I encountered an irrigation system problems afterwards and Mr. Jeremy went above and beyond to get everything taken care of. I couldnt be more satisfied. Definitely use this company.
