We have purchased 57s and crush n run from Bama dirt on multiple occasions and were very happy with the delivery coordination and delivery. Their materials are competitively priced.

We decided to have them price out some labor and additional materials (installing 6 culverts, leveling and creating additional drives, water mitigation) around our property. Joey and Garrett were the equipment operators who worked the job and we are extremely pleased with their work and the entire process. It was refreshing to see the tremendous amount of change skilled operators with proper equipment can accomplish in a day.

It’s always hard to hand over a chunk of change but honestly compared to many other “best value” folks we’ve had so other work here, bama dirt was the best value for our $. Should know soon if the water mitigation efforts will work. For now, we feel like we had a quality job done for a decent price.

Austin and his crew redid my 1/4 mile gravel driveway. Added culverts and material. Couldn’t be happier with the experience. On time, on budget, professional, and did a great job. Already got them started on a second project for me.

I placed my order for a 5 ton load of crush run for a driveway since my husband had a bilateral amputation done. I wasn’t expecting it until later this week. The driver showed up and got this done so quickly! He was amazingly friendly and polite. I would absolutely recommend Bama Dirt to anyone who is looking for gravel.

I ordered dirt from Bama in 2024 for some raised beds I made. Their customer service was fantastic and they made sure I got exactly the dirt I needed. They worked around my busy schedule for dirt drop off. The dirt was great and everything that I expected. Overall fantastic people and quality product. My tallest ever sunflowers grew in their dirt (12 ft).

Not impressed with the workmanship and being men of their word. I had talked with operator about what I wanted being marked with orange paint. We agreed to a price and potential more loads being needed. He even told me he sent a load back but had to bring another load back. It was not communicated that everything was not done inside the orange paint. When manager went to view lot he said I would have to pay another 1400 to complete that they weren’t going to eat that cost. So someone who’s already paying 10k needed to be charged more than agreed price to finish the job. So again poor workmanship standards and they DO NOT Honor their words.

Bama Dirt of Madison was able to work us in their schedule last minute to deliver a 5 ton load of oversized river rock. Customer service was excellent & prices were cheaper than competitors. Product looks great under our deck. Highly recommend this company!

First time visit to Bama Dirt for bulk purchase of Pine Nuggets (versus my usual bag purchases at big box stores). Exceptional service. Beautiful pine nugget spread. And I figure I saved over 30% purchasing by the pickup truck load. Set for the summer. I’ll be back next year.

Company does not give you updates on anything. They do not call and confirm anything. Contractor didn't show up to my house to do my windows. After two hours of trying to find him I finally got in contact with him and he said he took another job that morning and would be there that afternoon even though my appointment was for 9 that morning. Two hours went by still hadn't heard from him. His supervisor finally called me that afternoon. Said he didn't have my information to get in contact with me and that he couldn't call his office because the phone line was tore up. Excuse after excuse. He informed me that the contractor isn't coming today because he was in the hospital. It is now one o'clock and my appointment was at 9. It took them four hours to get in touch with me. Their contractor straight up lied to my face. He never had any intentions on showing up that day. I waited almost 2 months to get these windows put in and this company had no idea where their contractor was and did nothing to resolve the situation. Needless to say they got fired by me and I used B and H. They had someone at my house within two hours of finding out about my problem.

Absolutely recommend CGS construction! They are amazing to work with and stayed in touch with us about everything. If we had questions about anything, they were very quick to respond to us the same day.

They are quick to take your money, but once construction is supposed to begin they will drag their feet and not communicate. It’s been 16 months and the home is nowhere near completed. This is the same case for several others who are also using this builder. I would stay away and find another builder.

From modifying the original plans to suit my needs, to adding custom features and guiding me through the smallest of details, Chris made sure I had the right amount of classic design without sacrificing efficiency. Whenever I called with a question, a change request, or simply wanting to do a walk through for my own peace of mind, Chris ALWAYS took care of my concerns right then and there. I've been in my new home for almost 7 months now, and Chris still checks in to make sure everything is okay. Needless to say, I would highly recommend CGS Construction if anyone is looking to build or renovate their home. .

CGS built my house 2 years ago and it has been a constant battle to get a completed home. The builder has lied multiple times over the last two years about steps that were supposedly being taken to fix the problems that he created. To this day, he refuses to take responsibility for the problem and will no longer communicate with us. All indications show that I am now left with a hefty bill to fix something that should have been avoided. I DO NOT recommend using this business and would suggest looking elsewhere for a quality home.

I recently purchased a property that was a major fixer upper. I wanted to do some of the work myself but there were several areas where I needed help. I communicated with Chris at CGS Construction what I needed done and he made it happen. He got the jobs completed in a timely manner. Quality work as advertised with no hidden surprises. I would not hesitate to give Chris a call on any future projects.

CGS Construction was very professional and efficient with doing the depairs that my home needed. I had my roof replaced as well as some vinyl siding replaced due to storm damage. CGS Construction did a beautiful job. I love my new roof and the vinyl siding work is impeccable. I recommend CGS Construction to all my family and friends.

My hot water heater was causing some serious water damage under my house In the crawlspace. All of my sub floors had to be replaced. The owner, Chris came in and done a great job replacing all of my floors and doing a remodel on my first floor.
I later hired him to do the build out at our cigar lounge here in Athens downtown on the Square and he done an amazing job there.
My wife and I will be building a new home very soon and we will be calling CGS Construction to do it as well.
They have always done really amazing work for us. These are great people and they have a great company.

Every build is stressful to the buyer we want it done yesterday. The end result is what really counts. Thank you CGS for my beautiful home
