Extremely friendly and thorough. Had my chimney fixed in no time. Would definitely use again. Drew and Thomas were great.

Had them out in December, 2021 for an inspection. They identified a problem with my cap not fitting right and gave me a quote for the repair. I accepted the quote and gave a deposit but cannot get anyone to do the work. If I do manage to reach someone they say they'll get to it but then I never hear back.

They are on time and efficient and very thorough, thank you Batts!! They also did my inspection. Now WHO would not want their chimney checked from people that ACTUALLY BUILD THEM TOO!! SO glad I called them, Sherri

Batts' is the first chimney service that I've used since I purchased my first house w/ a chimney. The staff seemed very professional during the entire process, from the person who setup the appointment to the inspectors that arrived on the scheduled day. The inspectors took photos of everything during the process and reviewed the finding with me after completion. My only hesitation in recommending Batts' to someone else is the price. I think $338 for a basic sweeping and inspection (that took about 45 minutes) is slightly overpriced. I'm going to research other sweepers in my area prior to hiring someone in the future, or I may resort to doing the work myself if the equipment is reasonably priced.

I had my chimney inspected by Batts on December 29, 2021, and was told I needed repairs done. I was told the part I needed was hard to find and that they would contact me once it was found. I have heard from no one, and I have called over and over again and left messages as well as sent emails. In fact, every time I call, no one answers their phone. They will not return my phone calls or my email. I don't know if they aren't in business or simply ignoring me, but this is by far some of the worst customer service I have ever received.

Service tech was great and very knowledgeable and professional!

I paid $1,200 down on a $2,400 job in August 2021. Batt’s showed up for an hour and a half in November and demoed the metal chimney. They never returned and left me with a temporary roof patch that leaks. They have not responded to any of my communications. I’m out a lot of money and will now start over with another company.

Had an appointment to have my chimney. The guy came out and gave me a rough idea of the repairs needed. Said he would get me a quote several weeks ago but never got it. I called several times but still no quote. Had to go with a different company. They charged me $168. for the inspection. The new contractor did it for free. I would not use them.

Batts totally replaced our fireplace! From first appointment to inspect until the siding placed back on the house....excellence! Great communication, detailed estimate, work , clean up and even follow up later. Highly recommend!

They scheduled my inspection on a Friday afternoon between 2 and 5. I began calling around 4 to see when they would be there. At 4:45 someone returned my call and wanted to know if they could still come that day. I responded that it was already dark (December) and they would have to come another day. We rescheduled and they showed on time the next time and performed the inspection. I received the report and requested an estimate of the cost to repair. Several weeks went by and I still had not received an estimate. I called again and requested an estimate. The 2nd request was on 1/20/21and I have not heard back from them. I would not use again.

The gentleman that came to look over our current wood stove environment and chimney was diligent and professional. We got the advice we needed to purchase the right unit. Very happy.

I needed a chimney cap to keep animals out of my chimney. I was very happy that Batts Chimney Service included Huntsville in their service area as it was hard to find chimney service. Andrew was the service tech. He was very personable and professional. He insoected the chimney, took some photos, and took measurements for the chimney cap that day. Once the new chimney cap was built, Andrew came back another day to install it. As a bonus, Andrew blew the leaves and debris off of my roof. I was very pleased with Andrew and Batts. Everything went very well.

Contacted because "Mr Batts" has been a family friend that worked with my father, was told that the company was sold. Paid for the $200 cleaning and inspection. someone showed up and within 5 minutes was told everything was fine and didn't even need to be cleaned, but may need a screen around the top of the chimney. If we wanted any other services the money we prepaid would be credited for those services. We fired up the fireplace and had back draft smoke that came into the house.We have tried to contact multiple times a month to use our credit to get an inspection to find out why. if someone answers, they just say that we will get a call back. No one ever calls back. I am so heartbroken and disappointed that this business and family name is being ruined by poor basic customer service. A simple return call would have prevented a bad review. I will be filling out a BBB report.

Extremely friendly and caring staff. Had a routine clean/inspection scheduled a few months ago. The chimney didn't actually need the cleaning, and during the inspection I was given a great overview of repairs needed to be made.

Fast forward to the repair I got rescheduled and again, very clean and thorough.

4/5 stars because often times the team is unreachable. Whether it was scheduling an appointment or getting a quote, it often involved a game of phone tag.
The repairmen also showed up about 2 hours late; which didn't totally bother us since we work from home, but it's common business etiquette to communicate tardiness to a client. Factor that into your business standards and your overall 3 star rating will surely improve!

Showed on time and finished quickly. No mess! Will use again!

Nice professional cleaning job and nice people. Reasonable pricing. I recommend them for chimney service.
Only problem is he was suppose to order me a new blower and come back to install it . It has been over a month and I haven’t heard a word. I know when I order anything myself in today’s world I get it in about 2 days on average. They are not good on follow-up .
