Highly recommend AVOIDING this company. We hired Superior Lawn Care for lawncare, tree and shrub, mosquito, and pest control. Their quality of work is garbage and their manager, Brandon, is unprofessional, rude, and confrontational.

Our lawn looked awful despite regular services plus additional weed treatments. Grass was dying and weeds were everywhere despite everything Superior did. All of our neighbors were telling us Superior does not know how to manage fescue grass.

Superior had termite stations installed and another termite company found termite activity under our home. Fortunately, no damage to the home. I called Superior and they had to come and treat. I'm unsure how well of a job they did, however, or if their stations were effective.

I have been in contact with Brandon multiple times and he has been rude and absolutely unprofessional. I've had him on speaker phone and family members are appalled at the way he talks to paying customers. He is a big reason we canceled all of our services with Superior except our termite service (we paid for the year so we allowed it to expire) and they have still yet to pick up their termite stations. We have been informing our neighbors (current and new) to avoid Superior.

We went with Fairway Lawn (highly recommended) and in the matter of a few months, had a lawn better than anything Superior came close to. They are a very professional group and I enjoy talking to them. Quality service and quality attitude.

If I could give Superior 0/5 stars, I would. Absolutely terrible product and attitude.

I don’t usually do this but the experience was outrageous!

I hired them to take care of my lawn, shrubs, etc and we had an agreement in writing.

My first issue was poor communication, I do not speak or understand Spanish, and the owner doesn’t speak or understand English very well. This led to him thinking I was asking for the bushes to be trimmed to which he replied “ oh now you want your bushes trimmed? do you want me to wash your house too?”
When what I was saying is the bushes didn’t need to be done but we’re part of the quote so the price needed to reflect that which was in writing. His answer was no, the price was for only mowing and edging and blowing off driveway.

Grass clippings were blown into my flowerbeds making them look terrible

Flower beds were not weeded as per the agreement

Grass stains were all over the sidewalk and driveway

Weed ratting not done in other areas as per the agreement

And they cut wires to the entrance gate which now will need an electrician or gate company to fix, which I texted them about with no response from them on fixing it

All the above and they were the most expensive company, I have never heard of any company charging these prices!!!

This company did a really good job! Granted, communication is a little difficult due to a language barrier, but I stayed on top of the back and forth communication chain, and it all worked out in the end. In a nutshell, I texted them on a Saturday, a gentleman came to look at what the job would entail on Monday afternoon, and he texted me with a cost estimate on Tuesday morning. The following Saturday, a team of four people arrived at 8:00 a.m. and worked diligently until the job was completed. Our flower beds look great! Thanks, Hernandez Landscaping team, for all of your hard work! We appreciate you!

I used Hernandez last year after the Tornado took my mower and the building. He does a great job. and is Super Reliable and very nice. We appreciate the job he does. He cleans up well after mowing and edging. Highly Recommend. He has been cutting for me also this year. April 2019 Thank you for your service.

Mr Hernandez has a great team, and they never disappoint. I've used them for 3 years now. My yard always looks great. . His prices are reasonable and in my opinion is the best in Decatur Alabama. I know the language barrier can be a little tough, but try to text him instead. He is very understanding. And he knows the assignment. No worries you're in good hands. I highly recommend Mr Hernandez. Does excellent job.
