Tom and his staff have been excellent to work with over the years. During needed repair events or just for routine maintenance/cleaning, the employees from McCutcheon Heating & Air have responded immediately and performed the needed work in a timely manner. Their staff always works in a professional manner and performs high quality work in all cases. Very thankful to have such a great heating and air company in our area.

Thanks so much to McCutcheon Heating and Air for sending a qualified, professional, efficient team to install a replacement coil in our central unit. Andy and Zander are top-notch repairmen. My house is icy cool now! The scheduler (I think her name was Amy?) was also courteous and friendly and willing to work around my busy schedule.

Our 20 year old AC unit went out Monday morning. In the process of finding qualified installers and deciding what we wanted to replace the old unit with we stumbled on McCutcheon Heating and Air. Tom was knowledgeable and helpful. His pricing was transparent - we knew exactly what equipment we were buying. In addition he was able to get our unit installed the next day! The final bill was the same as quoted. He was not the lowest price but it was considerably lower than the first quote (from another company), the workmanship was great, they showed up on time, they clearly knew what they were doing and they didn't leave us a mess. In fact, the new installation looks better than the original and they planned ahead for future serviceability. Thanks Tom & Frank! We're glad to have found our new "go to HVAC guys". We've already recommended you to our neighbors whose house is about the same vintage as ours.

The absolute best heating & air service in North Alabama! Alex Thornton, the General Manager, came out today to see what was going on with my a/c. The unit had stopped cooling on Saturday night & we were miserable. He pulled up, diagnosed the problem, fixed it, checked out everything else on my unit and left 20 minutes later. So efficient, kind and their prices are very reasonable! I've used them once before, my parents use them as well, and we all highly recommend them to anyone who is having issues with their heating & air units.

Alex Thornton came out to our house and he was so very friendly! He called around 10 minutes in advance to let me know, and he was super nice! He explained everything to me as he was doing it. I would recommend them every time! Great service!

It took two days in the middle of the summer with temperatures near 100° for them to install the part in my unit. I had to pay for a motel for those days because my house was unbearably hot. Then, they were not up front about all of the expenses involved. I was upcharged for the part itself. Then, because they didn’t have the part in stock, they charged me extra for them to get it. In the end, I was forced to pay for their lack of preparation and punctuality. I do not recommend getting them to service your unit. You WILL pay for every single penny it costs them, PLUS some. Apparently, they don’t understand spending money to make money. They would prefer to make pure profit at your expense in a dire situation where your family is miserable due to a lack of heat and air.

A year later, 7/22/23 my ac went out and valley heating and cooling came out and said the wrong size capacitor was put on and it swelled up.

Andrew was professional and very helpful with answering any questions I had. And Alex the manager was helpful and very responsive to my needs and questions.I would recommend them to anyone.

This company installed a new unit in our home August 2023. They botched the install, engineered some nonsense to make it work, and it has been a constant headache since that time. It leaks and has damaged the floor and the ceiling below. Instead of making it right, they installed a super convenient kill switch that shuts the unit down every time it leaks, so the unit just WON'T RUN! We have had so many technicians come out it makes my head spin. And for all the smooth talking and glad handing, OUR UNIT STILL FREAKING LEAKS. I am over this company and I sincerely hope no one ever chooses Valley/McCutcheon for any of their needs, let alone their heating and cooling needs! $10,000 and can't get anyone to care or stand behind their shoddy work. I am so disgusted. And before you say you don't have a record of our install, Johnny Davis and Nicole Davis. You should have our names tattooed across your forehead for the number of times we have attempted to get this company to make us whole.
