Better than any before. I have large mature trees that look better than ever. Very reasonable and the crew is excellent and knowledgeable. After the cleanup I can't tell they were here, until Iook up to see my trees and they are looking good.

Alabama Arbor was very helpful to me. I needed a a tree removal company with expertise on a recent job. Dylan exceeded my expectations. He provided a detailed quote to me in a timely manner and then performed the work on time and budget. His team was so clean we could hardly tell they were ever there! Five stars just aren’t enough …. We planted two oak trees in the early 90s under which our children and now our grandchildren were able to play with protection from the fierce summer sun. This, the smaller of our trees measured about 44” in diameter at the stump but unfortunately became a home to “boring beetles” which immediately began feasting on our tree and it also exhibited “elephant trunk” signs. We had a great experience with the entire Alabama Arbor staff starting with our initial call and continuing through the performed work and cleanup. I’ll expand in the following paragraphs.

We noticed our tree beginning to show problematic signs several months ago when the canopy did not leaf out as it had historically nor were its acorns very plentiful. Large portions of bark had also began dropping from the tree. At the suggestion of a neighbor, my wife began by contacting the Madison County Extension Office who provided a list of certified arborists that we could consider to inspect the tree. We reduced the list to about 6 possible companies and Alabama Arbor was the first company to which we made actual voice contact. Lauren immediately answered our call on a Friday and quickly lined up a time for Dylan to make a site visit the following Monday morning. Dylan was very professional, quickly discerned and diagnosed the problem with our tree, patiently provided understandable responses to my questions, provided a written estimate within about 15 minutes and recommended removal to occur as soon as possible to prevent migrating damage. I considered his offer for a few days and made contact with him a couple of times. Four days later (on Friday), I called the office and was pleased to talk with Lauren once again. She was very helpful and scheduled removal of our tree to occur on the following Monday and told us that the stump grinding would likely occur a few days later.

On a very cold January morning, a team of 3 (Shawn, Josh and Morgan) arrived very promptly at 0700 hrs and immediately began getting their equipment positioned and ready for removal of our tree. They implemented several safety measures to include marking off a safe work area as well as donning personal safety equipment. They remained apprised of their surroundings and would cease work when suspecting a dangerous situation of themselves or teammates. In addition, they were very careful to protect our turf and nearby wooden playset structure and storage shed from equipment traffic and falling branches/trunk/debris. The team’s work ethic was exemplary and they continued efficiently, steadily and tirelessly until darkness (about 1800 hrs) with only the trunk remaining to fall and final clean up planned for the next day. They had commented that it was one of the largest trees they had ever removed and admitted that they were feeling tired. To help with perspective, the wood chips alone filled up one and a half truckloads. In spite of the hard work, they did not complain at all and were very respectful the entire time. True to their word, they returned the next morning at 0700 hrs and picked up where they left off. Shawn informed me that we would be contacted for the stump grinding within a couple of days. They completed the main tree work and thoroughly cleaned up the work site and were rolling out by around 1030 hrs to the next job.

To our surprise, the stump grinder arrived the same afternoon at about 1530 hrs. Ted immediately got to work, quickly ground down the stump, piled the shavings on the hole and was rolling out a short 30 minutes later by around 1600 hrs.

We were very pleased with our entire experience with Alabama Arbor. Dylan and his entire staff of office personnel and skilled laborers are very impressive and we are pleased to be able to recommend their services. We have already reached out to Alabama Arbor for some additional tree work and are working to line them up!

Travis did a great job. He was careful with some trees that were close to the house, got everything out of a difficult to access yard, and cleaned up everything nicely.

Travis cut down, removed and cleaned up a large tree for me in my somewhat cramped back yard. He and his crew did an extremely good job and did not only remove the tree, but did no damage whatsoever to my yard. Highly recommend his work!

He is prompt and performs the job as promised according to his spoken word and contract agreement. He is trustworthy and very competent. Travis Payton is hands down one of the best when it comes to tree service! He’s a licensed professional arborist who knows his craft well. 40 Years in Huntsville and Travis at Payton Tree Service is by far the best tree services contractor I have ever used. He removed 11 large 40-50 year old trees from my property at a reasonable price. Several were very close on my house and he cleared them with no issue. He is a certified and insured arborist. In these days of Craig’s list scammers and Neighborhood app con artists it’s hard to find professionals like Mr. Payton. He has 20+ years experience and is a hard working, good man. I will definitely be using his service again.

Travis was amazing to work with. When I needed an additional write up for my insurance company he provided it quickly, and I received approval from my insurance company with no additional questions from them. He removed a huge tree from my yard in a short amount of time, and because of his quick work we were able to get our fence repaired quickly, as well. His price was more than fair. Payton Tree Service is the most knowledgeable and professional tree service we've ever used. Last year, Travis pruned a large oak we had in our front yard since there were some large dead limbs on it. It was excellent work. Last month we asked him to remove 2 large trees from our back yard (which is a fairly small space). The trees were a large oak and a large maple which was very close to our house. Travis removed trees quickly and without any issues. 5 stars!
