I was warned to stay away from White Glove, I wish I had listened. What a total disappointment. I hired these guys to put in a large flower bed for me. They were to take out the turf, amend the soil, put in a french drain, acquire and plant some plants for me in a design we agreed to. WHAT A DISASTER! I waited a year to right this review to give it a chance to see how it would look after a year - this was a total waste of my money, thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. I would NEVER use these folks again unless I could supervise from start to finish, and even then I wouldn't hire them if they paid me. They lure you in with a free estimate and a lovely design, but then the workers dont even have or understand the plan and are rude and obnoxious to boot. I have rocks about 3 inches down that was put in by the builder in all the lots, I wanted all that turned over and peat and soil conditioner added - I knew it would make it a hard job, and I was upfront about that. I was assured that was done - it was not, not even close. I know this because when I replaced all the plants they put in (100% died) this year, I hit rock and the netting that comes on the bottom of the turf - so it would have been impossible for them to have gone beyond removing just the top of the turf. They were also to put in a french drain, which should be about 12 inches below the top of the soil - I was digging around and hit their pipe less than 3 inches down, so now I have this section of pipe sticking up! When they were done, they left a mess, sticks left behind in a pile, litter, etc. Finally, all the plants died - not an exaggeration, they all died. I admit they have a warranty on the plants, but the whole experience was SO miserable, I have not called as I would refuse to allow them back in my yard. I just ate the cost and hired Yard Robotics - yard.bot. They did an INCREDIBLE job - friendly, fast, complete, came back out a couple of times after I asked for additional work and did it at no cost. I have used them for yard cleanup, mulching, planting, weeding, pruning - I am so happy. They used all my supplies to amend the soil, and everything is in full, beautiful bloom. What a difference!!!

White Shovel Landscape willingly helped me with a DIY project to ensure my raised bed has adequate drainage. Even though my project did not meet White Shovel’s minimum $$$ threshold for a project, they gave me unlimited direction and advice on how to complete the project myself, including providing invaluable instructions and recommending equipment that I need for the project. The time spent by White Shovel Landscape to ensure that I had everything I needed, even though they were not making any money as a result of the advice and direction they provided to me, is commendable. Thank you, White Shovel Landscape, for helping me. You provided me with everything I needed to complete my project. I will definitely contact you for larger projects that I might need in the future. What a very terrible experience...I cannot even begin to explain it...it was absolutely awful...they took over a year to fix all of the mistakes they made...and be wary, cause they will plant almost dead plants and then blame it on u that ALL OF THEM just so happened to die due to the lack of your care...they also might knock a whole in your house and claim that it was already there...they will also grow tiresome of having to fix all of their mistakes and bluntly tell u so...we had a design plan and a contract with them, but they did not follow either...if you do decide to hire them, I would stand beside them every single step of the way

The roots above ground,the grass barrier is laid down improperly, the grass coming through,the bushes some did will not replace the second one

Did a great job installing a drainage system and adding extra concrete to the driveway. Made a big difference in my front yard when it rains!

WSL were super prompt in contacting me back on my irrigation problem. The rep came out and took all the measurements even though it was raining. The design gave me the feeling of being a participant on HGTV backyards reimagined. The best part was the price didn't require me to take out equity in my home.

Called white shovel to help with a design for my front yard. They called me back right away and scheduled me in a timely manner. Very professional and they came up with a great ideas for what I was looking for. Will definitely be using them in the future. Was really nice that they took care of what I was looking for.

This company is extremely professional and very talented workers. The process from start to finish was very easy and informative. We are very satisfied with the install as it incorporated dig up of old shrubs, weeding, spraying, replanting of 11 shrubs and thick layer of mulch.

These folks are terrific! We have had them landscape the front of our home twice—once 11 years ago and once after the big freeze that killed so many plants in North Alabama. Both times they thoughtfully created an easy to care for design, including our preferences or explaining substitutes where indicated for this climate. They care that the plantings they make will look good in the future, and will educate the homeowner on how to keep their investment looking it’s best.

This company has been great since Day 1. I had them remove the bushes that were already in place but just way, way too large and put new ones in place. They designed the layout for me and stayed within my specifications for size which was really important to me. They showed up when they said they would, on time, completed the work, and have been back several times since to assess how everything was going. I will continue to use them going forward and recommend them to anyone who's just not sure what to do with their space.

Isaac has been so helpful, professional and not pushy in all the planning for my big spring installation of a perennial shade flower garden! Now, I’ll look forward to the spring right after the last frost! Thank you for taking the stress out of my dream garden!

Isaac and team have done a good job with our landscaping. Isaac comes out every four/five months to make sure plants are doing well. Pruning them and explaining why he prunes plants at different times of the year.

Does this look great to anyone? Like top quality? I am expected to believe this is what "beautiful" concrete is supposed to look like before it dries. Before and after forms pulled off.

The landscape designer/project manager, Isaac, told me he is going to sue me for not paying the second half for this project and for slander. He, also, said that I treated them like "trash" because I accused them of stealing their own tools, because I thought they belonged to my other contractor and they didn't tell me they were going to leave them laying outside my house for days, and that he thinks I have buyer's remorse and found someone cheaper even though I turned down a far cheaper quote before I gave him a bank check for the half the project due to my trying to honor what I thought was good customer service.

If you think this is beautiful work, contact White Shovel Landscapes. If you and I agree that this needs to be redone, then avoid at all costs. You be the final judge.

Isaac and the crew at White Shovel are the real deal. We used them for the initial landscape job in April 2023. On top of the 1year warranty for all the plants - they also come by 3 times a year for spring /summer/ fall maintenance checks. Making sure all the plants are staying healthy , Teaching me how to trim my bushes and shrubs right to get optimum growth for the long run.
