Bryan Maisel builder’s did a beautiful job building our new home from the ground up. He is very attentive to our needs in our home. Even preventing our water pipes from freezing when we weren’t there. We are ecstatic with having Bryan as our builder!

In helping my mother look for a new home on Dauphin Island , Bryan helped us through the process, soup to nuts. He walked us through multiple properties and floor plans until we found the perfect spot. All along the way, he was friendly, professional, and helpful. As for the build quality, the new house is easily the most well constructed residential structure I've ever walked through (over engineered bolts and supports, warranties on siding and other structural elements, very well insulated, added height above ground, lovely modern interior design and details, quality palms and turf used in the landscaping, etc...). After purchase, he also helped us find furniture, answered questions about the home, and even helped repair the front door months after the fact when some movers gouged it out accidentally. Both my mother and I now consider Bryan a friend of the family, and if you're moving to the island, you couldn't ask for a better neighbor.

Bryan Maisel Builders are, hands down, the BEST builders/general contractors that I have ever worked with during my 50 years on this planet. Bryan, and his office manager/coordinator, brought a level of professionalism and diligence to the task of building our house on Dauphin Island that was extraordinary. Bryan's expertise and attention to detail were on display during every phase of the project. Whether it was correcting inaccuracies in our engineering plans, dealing with the planning commission and approval processes on Dauphin Island, advising us on the intricacies of building in an environment subject to extreme weather, or bringing the project to completion AHEAD of schedule, Bryan ran the operation with military precision. The weekly progress reports provided insight which walked us through, in detail, what had been accomplished that week, what was coming up next week, and most importantly, pictures of the house as it came to life! Being remote, having their assistance with the innumerable design decisions, including the binder with all of the potential interior design options and samples enabled us to make decisions with confidence. The level of professionalism and skill at communication was invaluable during the build, and attention to detail is remarkable. Even better, Bryan and Susan are genuinely nice people who go out of their way to be helpful and make a very complex process as easy as possible for their clients. My wife and I are thrilled with the house and feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to work with Bryan and Susan! Five stars doesn't even begin to capture how happy we are with the completed project by Bryan Maisel Builders, LLC.

Bryan Maisel Builders did an outstanding job of building our new home on Dauphin Island. Bryan and Susan kept us up to date on the progress of construction and had weekly meetings to see if any changes were desired. After construction was completed, they walked us through all of our warranties and gave us numbers of all vendors in case of any emergencies. Bryan also presented us with our Gold Fortified Certification within weeks of completion.
Neighbors also praised Bryan for having a very clean and professional job site and crews.
We consider Bryan Maisel a top-notch builder.

A well respected and talented company with industry awards to support the heights that John Thomas still strives to achieve.

Great remoldelors. Mainly focus on kitchen and bathrooms. But they do any part of the home with charm, character, and finesse.
John Thomas, owner has owned this company for at least 25 years. And has been featured in remodeler magazine. He also is a long time member of Mobile's remodeler's council, and served many years as the president... He has also been awarded with remodeler of the year multiple times. His caring and charming personality is rare. I once heard him say ,"l feel that I help and remodel the family as well as their space"... and it truly makes all the difference.

Excellent work. Had busted pipes and one call to John Thomas at TCM remodelers he took care of everything from start to finish. Would highly recommend him to everyone. This is actually the second job I have used John on and very impressive work.

I had a good experience with the owner in his big fancy truck. However the 1 Carpenters I think his name was Joseph or Joe. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable being a single female . 😕 I would never use them again... also I found the sub out 90% of their work with a 75% markup

They do not return emails, the phone number on their website calls Ethiopia. Yes Ethiopia. And they are not at the address on Google. They also do not answer their phone during business hours, despite 5 calls and voicemails left for them.

No one was there. We drove hours to get there based on the fact they said they would be open. Nope. No one there. I heard back a couple of days later that they were out of town traveling. They evidently could not be bothered to post that on their website or on their outgoing voicemails. We were not even able to establish that their business address is indeed their actual place of business as there were no signs or indicators on the building. So that remains an unsettling unknown as a potential customer. Lastly, the link on their webpage for their phone number, dials Ethiopia. Yes. that Ethiopia. The one in Africa.

I sent them a couple of emails letting them know about their phone number and they never bothered to respond. I don’t even know if this is a legitimate business or not.

Purchased a beautiful Prime design home recently. Their team was extremely helpful throughout the process and continued their great service even after the purchase was complete. Highly recommended!

Words cant describe how happy we are with the purchase of our Prime Design home. When we were searching for our new home we knew we wanted only Prime Design. We got all the amenities of a brand new home without the hassle of dealing with builders. The whole team was awesome and easy to work with. Any issues or concerns that arose before and after closing were handled with urgency. Thank yall again for everything.

Jacob and Josh went above and beyond to help us with our new build. They were efficient and thorough in making sure all our needs were met after a slight freak incident with the plumbing. They made sure to “make it right,” and we couldn’t be more happy with how they handled the situation. More than anything, they stand behind their quality product and that speaks volumes!!

Let me start off with first that I fought with myself for a while on whether or not to post this review. I typically try and see the best in all companies I deal with, and I really hate to be negative so I will start off with the positives. The overall house we purchased was beautiful. Great design and layout, and the purchase process with them was super simple. Unfortunately for us this is where it stopped. We moved in April of ‘21, and at first we had no issues. Not long after this we noticed water stains under our bathtub that looked to be coming from our shower. We called them to come out, and they determined our bathtub was leaking. They had a crew come out and fix it so great.

Fast forward some time later, and we were noticing black on the baseboard near our shower as well as discoloring on our wall by the walk-in shower door. At this time we removed the baseboard from this area as well as the Sheetrock in the area with the discoloration to find a soaking wet sill plate and as well wet studs. We called them again which at this time they stated this was outside of the timeframe, but they would look at it because of the previous issue. The owner’s brother came out with his GC, and they put the blame basically on us that we had “standing water coming from the shower and puddling in this spot for two years” as well as arguing with us when we stated that we never have standing water there. Their reasoning behind the discoloration was credited to missing weather stripping and too large of a cap between the shower door and wall. They had someone “fix” this problem as well. They sent us a copy of the buyers manual with reference for us on how to maintain our shower as the other part of their solution.

Two months later, the we notice water staining and discoloration in the same spot. At this point I brought out three different shower and tile guys to get their opinions, and all three stated this shower was leaking either due manufacturer’s defects in materials or installer’s error. At this point I contacted the owner and after mentioning going the route of legal after I have my people remove tile, he stated they would send their people out once again along with a rep from the system (Kerdi) to take a look at it. After they removed a few tiles, it was immediately seen that the system was installed incorrectly causing rot and water damage. At this point, the brother of the owner popped up and said that he had a plan and basically left. The system was replaced, by the same crew who apparently installed it to begin with, and their measurements were off which led to the glass not fitting. We contacted the brother and let him know which his response was he was trying to get it taken care of quickly because he was trying to go out of town. We apologize that our issue that was caused by your company was an inconvenience to you and your vacation. We had the inconvenience of four people using one shower during this time in our children’s bathroom.

This system seems to have been installed correctly at this time as we haven’t seen any problems yet. The company wouldn’t know this as since the repair was made, the only person who has checked in with us was the glass guy. It is a shame, because they really did create a beautiful home.

I can not say enough good things about this builder. There have been some minor things that have come up and they have been there to help in any way they can. I have bugged these guys in Holiday weekends, trips to the ballpark for their children’s ball games and more… They have always answered the phone or sent me a text to respond and ensure that I am at ease with a resolution on the way to whatever may have same about. There are so many other things such as the many details that were put into custom finishes, down to the beautiful privacy fenced in yard. I am without words to describe how obsessed I am with my new home and how happy I am for choosing Prime Design Homes to purchase my forever home from. If you have not taken the time to check them out and you are looking to purchase a new house in the Mobile, AL area… I would suggest you not walk… but RUUUUUUUUUUUN to the nearest property they have and check them out. AMAZING, GREAT, WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, KINDNESS, CARING… are all just a few words to describe my experience with these guys and their team.

    Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun check them out ASAP!
