LeafFilter Gutter Protection

I heard about Leaf Filter from TV. I did some checking about their company and decided to get an estimate. The salesperson came to our house and was nice and knowledgeable. Got estimate for leaf gutter protection and 3 new downspouts and thought it was extremely expensive for a single story house. We let him know we thought the price was too expensive. He then asked what it would take to get our business and we gave him a figure. He had to check with someone to see if he could do it for the price we gave him. He called back and said he could. In the meantime we had a minor emergency arise and I called him back to explain we would have to put the project on hold for a time. He said he wanted to pick another install date but I told him we'd have to wait. The following day I received a call from his manager asking if they could do the install for substantially less than half of the original price! I feel that we were going to be "taken advantage of" and that others should be aware of this.

Scott McCoook, was extremely helpful and courteous. He talked us through the whole process. We are pleased.

We have had a really horrible experience with LeafFiler. After several high pressured, pushy sales tactics on a Tuesday, we were offered gutters at over $15k below the initial price. We considered it and were sent paperwork, but Wednesday morning decided it was not the right move and never went through with the order. On a Friday morning, 2 guys showed up at my doorstep to install the gutters we never ordered. I made 3 calls to various numbers at the company (2 numbers given to me by their workers, and our sales rep) asking what was going on and asking to give the workers permission to leave the 'job site'. 30min later our sales rep texted me very defensively that it was the install managers fault, not his, and gave no apology. Never heard from anyone else. Needless to say, we're feeling good that we didn't go with them for our gutter installation.

**We've since had quotes/info from other gutter companies in the area and have learned that LeafFilter wanted to install gutters on 2 sides of the house that aren't necessary because of the angles of our roof and 4 more downspouts than what we've been told by everyone else is needed. We are in a straight, square, 1 story, 1200 sq ft house.
