Tried to set up TWO separate appointments to get an estimate from this company. Sat at home waiting on him during the agreed-upon time and he never showed up. 45 minutes after the time window, my husband called THEM to find out what was going on and they said he couldn’t make the appointment! Then we rescheduled for the next week. We came home from my mother’s home in north Alabama to meet him. He called and said he would be at our home between 4:30 and 5 (orig. time 3:00 a 5:00). AGAIN, by 5:03 he was a no show. When my husband called the office and cancelled, about 5 minutes later he called and shouted at my husband! Not only will we NEVER use this company, we will tell ALL 33 neighbors in our subdivision NOT to use this company! VERY unprofessional!

Really appreciate Jon's time & expertise! He listened to what we wanted...and great care & personal attention to two trees that needing trimming - but we wanted protected! Perfect for when you want a job done right!

Outstanding is the best description for the service provided. Jon and crew did everything promised, were on time, finished the quickly. Stumps were removed complete beneath ground level and the ensuing cleanup was perfect.

Horrible experience- they set an appointment with me a week out and I didn’t hear anything from them for 2 months, even though I left several messages. When I tried to back out due to the poor service, John threatened to sue me because of the service contract that I signed months ago. When they finally did show up, they destroyed my back yard, broke a dozen paving stones, and dropped a limb through my shed. Once again, when I confronted them about it, they pointed to the contract. Buyer beware

Three trees were on our house from tropical storm Zeta. Jon's Tree Service came out the next day and removed the trees. The workers were professional and the cost was reasonable. Will use this company again for future tree services.

We did not hire this company nor had any need of its services. They were doing work in our neighborhood.

An employee of Jon's Tree Service decided to use our water hose and wash himself off/drink from our faucet without asking permission. I have registered a complaint with this company. I also have video proof but will not provide to this review site.

The owner actually came by to give me an estimate about three weeks ago. John stated that he would gladly cut down a huge tree adjacent to my house if I really wanted the tree cut down. However he felt like the tree was healthy and did not need cutting. he also explained to me some other factors that quailed my concerns as far as the likely hood of the tree falling on our home. John did find a different tree with some possible root damage but it's not an "immediate concern. John emailed me an estimate of "all" the trees I want removed and at some point I am going to have the trees removed for my personal peace of mind. I highly recommend John's Tree service. By the way he showed me pictures of a new piece of equipment that can fit through openings as small as four feet in order for the tree cutters to efficiently remove trees.

Jon’s tree service performed an excellent job on several tree removals and some pruning on other trees. They were on time and very professional on the job. The clean up was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree removal or tree pruning.

Contacted Jon to get a quote on cutting down a tree. Send over all the information and then the next day Jon asks me to call him that I was 30 mins from his business (and?) That "if he was gonna come out he'd have to get at least $1200. " Did not care to come give a quote and basically just threw out a number cause 30 minutes just to far. So Jon needs to change his website to If you are more than 30 mins away I'm just going to throw out a number and if you dont like it, oh well. Very bad business practices.

Jon is A+ in my book. Made two trips out to help us with a cat stuck about 50' high in a tree. After being blown off by several tree services, a buddy recommended Jon. I fully expected to be laughed at but he was 100% willing to climb the tree and get the cat down for a reasonable price. I know that isnt their normal gig but they were very helpful.

Jon’s team arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently removing two big Leyland Cypress and trimming and pruning all the many trees my husband planted and forgot. They did excellent work and left the place spotless, and I would highly recommend them. They know what they are doing!

Jon’s tree service did a great job trimming my hedges and rose bushes. They worked quickly, but made sure it looked great! They even gave tips to help me maintain them. I highly recommend!

After receiving quotes from tree service companies, they gave an 11-week delay. We called Jon’s tree service and got a quote with a 10-day delay. The workers were professional and efficient. The quote was 15% to 20% more than the other quotes, but well worth it.

Estimates were clearly explained and executed. The work was carried out as promised, and really went beyond. Good attention to the needs and financial priorities of customer. Punctual, work done as promised. Good communications. Tree work is not cheap, but the costs were competitively fair.

Jon and the guys did a great job removing two trees from some tricky spots. While they were at it they trimmed up a few trees that were keeping the sun from getting to the grass and ground down an old stump that was close to a water line. They were super careful and everything went very smoothly. Everyone was so polite and professional and they cleaned up everything before they left. Excellent experience!

Good job removing trees and grinding but not so good at removing the roots from trees. Instead of having a truck to put debris in they put all the debris on my lawn and part of the street. Took two days to remove the debris and when they got it up. There are big dents in my grass said they would fix but didn’t just filled in with sand. Called had words with Jon and he and I were unprofessional. Said he would come look at it but didn’t, I sent a text telling him not to come. For what I paid them to remove 14 trees, they could have spent less than $100 to fix my yard. I told I could fix me own yard like I want it. My neighbors complained about his the unprofessionalism when they were trying to get to there homes because he had the street blocked. I Wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone. I should have used Gray’s.
