I highly recommend this company; very professional, prompt and thorough clean up.

Jon and his employees did an excellent job taking down a huge, very tall dead pine tree. It was a dangerous situation because it was rotting and had started to lean towards one of my neighbor’s property. The company has a number of special purpose machines which made the job of quickly taking down the tree and carrying off the huge sections of the trunk look easy. The employees were very nice and did everything possible to minimize the damage to my yard, and clean up the small debris after the job was completed.

I would highly recommend this company if you need the this kind of service.

Do not use Jon's Tree Service. I used Jon Pierce to clear some brush in my yard. He cut the line for my cable and internet, damaged my shrubs, sprayed my house and yard with rocks and debris that required significant cleanup, a broken window and a broken front door. It's been 7 months and he's done nothing to fix the front door despite repeated requests and filing a complaint with the BBB. Instead he's repeatedly claimed he's too busy to call a repairman instead complaining that I'm being impatient. I had to call a door company to get a quote since he wouldn't. Now he says he doesn't have the $2,500 to pay for the repairs. I wish I had looked at some of his other Google ratings with similar complaints. Hiring him is not worth the risk. BUYER BEWARE!

Jon's did a great job removing several fallen and in the way trees in our property. Would recommend.

Jon and his team did a great job removing three trees with two of them requiring stump grinding and grading of my yard. Jon did everything he said he would and they go it all completed in one day. Will definitely use him again on my next project.

Had a quite large Bradford Pair split and fall a few weeks ago. Covered most of my back yard and a neighbor's and was laying over the fence between. Needed that cleaned up and the rest of the tree that didn't fall removed.

Jon's came out on a Thursday, did a quote and had the tree gone Monday. They had the right equipment and had it done in like 3 hours without further damaging the fence. Would have been days for me and buddies with chainsaws to try to cut it and haul away.

I think it was a bit more of a job than they expected but they did it quickly and honored their reasonable quote. It was a relief to have it cleared out and done so efficiently. Thanks Jon's.

We've used Jon's Tree Services twice now at our residence. These guys always do a fantastic job for us. We had several large oaks, pines and walnut trees right up against the house. Jon's Tree Service took them down safely and also grounded the stumps. They also cleared a lot of privet along the side of the yard that was an eye soar without any additional cost. They were done in less than a day and left he yard very clean and undisturbed. We are very satisfied with their quality of work!

I used Jon’s Tree Service to remove several trees in 2022 and in 2023. Unfortunately, my last interaction with the company was such a disappointment that I’ll be looking elsewhere for my 2024 goals. In 2023, Jon’s removed two large trees that I later learned are black gums and a dying fir tree. For the black gums they went with a stump grind and for the fir, they advised the needle drop was due to sun exposure. What I learned the hard way is that black gum roots sucker vigorously and can do so for many years after the tree is cut. To prevent a kudzu-level nightmare, the stump should be chemically treated immediately after cutting to kill the root system. Discovering this much too late for this method, my front yard now transforms into a small forest within a week. After a year of chemical treatments, extra lawn care, and weekly hand pruning on my part, I finally reached out to Jon’s to see what they could do. The response: nothing. They’ve somehow never cut a black gum before and their “knowledge” and “techniques” for preserving the landscape are nowhere to be found. As for my remaining fir trees, it’s obvious now that there is a fungus problem that is swiftly destroying the privacy screening. Again, something I could have prevented if I were given legitimate advice in 2023. Looking back at other 1 star reviews, it’s obvious Jon’s would never admit fault or take responsibility for any shortcomings in their work (or driving apparently). Attached are photos of invoices, the view from my front porch after going out of town for more than a week, and Jon’s response to my email explaining all the ways I’ve tried to deal with this fallout. In my opinion, the results are clearly not worth the cost.

I can't say I'm thrilled about the job Jon's did for the amount of money I paid. It's all about details; shrubs could have been pruned better, the area between my neighbor's fence and low wall was not cleaned properly, the crabgrass around my driveway and front walk was not trimmed; just a bunch of other details.

Jon responded quickly to my request for an estimate (2 days), and once he saw my large termite eaten tree leaning towards my house (The bark fell off the tree revealing the dangerous state it was in) he made it a priority to schedule its removal. Difficult to access, tight against other trees - OTHERS QUOTED MORE THAN DOUBLE his estimate, which he kept to. Quoted on a Tuesday, his team was on site on Thursday. They were courteous, efficient, made safety a priority and did a fantastic job cleaning up and promptly hauling away the remnants. That was important, as they had to set up their bucket lift in my neighbor's yard (Thanks neighbors!). Neighbors were so impressed they asked for Jon's business card for their future needs. Per my request, they were careful not to damage my hydrangea just under the canopy! I have had to deal with a lot of tree services during my 20 years here in Bluff Park. Unfortunately, some are vultures. Some get the job done adequately. But Jon's service has been exceptional. GREAT VALUE, GREAT JOB. (LT)

I would give 0 stars if that was an option and definitely would never hire this company, especially after reading reviews! Today one of Jon’s trucks (or possibly Jon himself) was backing down a blind curve in Mountain Brook and came a few feet from hitting my car. Because I couldn’t tell if the driver saw me as he continued to back up towards me, I swerved around him and pulled up in front of the truck. The driver went absolutely nuts SCREAMING obscenities and cussing me out. This company had several trucks completely blocking a busy road with no signage or anyone managing traffic. Besides being dangerous, the way it was handled was completely unprofessional, unnecessary and rude.

Jon and crew did an exceptional job of trimming my overgrown Bradford pears before the trees split. Clean up was terrific; they left my yard looking better than it did before they arrived. Crew was punctual, professional, friendly and thorough. Can't say enough good things about Jon's Tree Service.

I'm sharing our experience with Jon's Tree Service in the hopes that others won't make the same mistake we did.

We used Jon's Tree Service for a tree in our backyard that was threatening our roof and our neighbor's roof. It was a challenging cut, so he ended up charging the top dollar of his quoted price to complete the job.

I do appreciate that Jon personally handled a particularly difficult neighbor whose yard was adjacent to the work, but his crew left before finishing the job. We had agreed that they would move the debris from the usable part of our backyard down the hill, and most importantly, off of our toolshed. I was foolish enough to pay him and trusted him at his word to return "This Friday or next week" due to an equipment issue.

It has now been over 3 months since we paid him. Now, when I reach out to him to try to get a concrete date for him to finish the job, he's claiming I'm "harassing" him. I've reached out a total of 3 times in 3 months.

Unfortunately, I give up. Our backyard is unusable. See the pictures for what an unfinished job looks like. I do not recommend using this company.

I am so Thankful I found Zamora Tree Service! They are more reasonable than any tree service I have found! A great team , dedicated to get the job done ! If you have to spend money on trees this is the group to use !
