We bought a house this past summer on a very steep lakeside lot. The previous owner had removed all the shrubs, trees, and other vegetation and had routed gutter downspouts poorly, and the lot had eroded dramatically, leaving deep crevices and exposing sewer pipes and part of the septic system. We employed some DIY fixes (erosion control blankets and seeding annual rye), but knew that we would need some retaining walls and an extensive drainage system to prevent further erosion. We tried to hire a landscaping company immediately but could not find anyone willing to tackle the difficult slope. One contractor told us immediately that the job was too difficult, since he could not use his heavy equipment on the slope (fair enough), but others left us hanging after one or more site visits, waiting for estimates that never came through. In early November, we reached out to Rick Bonds. He assessed the site and gave us an estimate within a couple of days, advising us that he was booked through the end of February. As our time frame approached, Rick kept in touch on scheduling, and he and his crew started work, as promised, the first week of March. Rick & his guys worked on the project full-time for two full weeks, doing all the digging and hauling on the slope by hand. The crew was exceptionally professional, working hard all day & leaving the site cleaned up each day. Rick is great at communicating – he discussed options & answered our questions throughout the process. About a week after the job was completed, we suffered a torrential downpour (several inches in 36 hours) that caused washing of the newly-placed topsoil and gravel around the walls. Rick came back quickly to repair the storm damage & added a dry creek bed to further slow the water rushing down the slope, at no charge to us. Rick’s apparent goal was to solve our difficult stormwater/landscaping problems in an aesthetically pleasing manner, without shortcuts & to our complete satisfaction, and he did so with flying colors. We feel fortunate to have engaged Scapes Management for this project and recommend them highly. We definitely will choose Scapes Management for any future landscaping work!

Rick and his team did a complete overhaul of the hardscaping in our front yard in March of 2022 and we have been so pleased! Even though they are incredibly busy, they were very responsive, showed up when they said they would, and got the project done quickly. We are absolutely delighted with how it turned out and would definitely use them again. We've since mulched and planted and everything looks wonderful. Thank you, Rick and Karen!

If you are looking for the best landscape company to make you home and yard look as you desire, look no further! My wife and I had had two terrible experiences with others who promised a lot but way under performed. The reverse happened with Rick and Karen and Scapes Management. Rick came to our home, rightly questioned us and found out precisely what we desired for our yard. He brought to bear all his knowledge and experience to fine tune our plans. He gave us a clear start and end time along with a reasonable price. He and his crew showed up on the start date and they were finished when they had said. He worked with his crew every day and kept my wife especially informed of all that they were doing and why. Our yard now gets compliments from our neighbors and is an absolute delight for us to enjoy.

Nobody really cares about helping with the customers or being there for work either but will answer your questions after hunting down an employee of course then they probably won't be able to help you out with that but the other guy knows more about it so you can spend 30 min looking for him or just finding out for yourself on Google and other outside resources

It was ok. Went to look for small succulents and small cacti and the selection was not great. They did have some ok succulent arrangements but the prices were high for the types of containers and the amount and variety of plants included in them.

There's just so, so many different reason why of course; I'll tell you some and I'll save some for my next adventures at Lowe's...so like always at this time of the year of course, there's a hole lot of shaking going on with all of these holidays up on us now ☺️🙂
