NOT PET FRIENDLY!!!

Harsh chemicals were the excuse given... "no honey bees welcome from there plants"

The prices were way over market average to, I'd look elsewhere or even order off line and still save big $ even with shipping you'll still save!!!

Ps. Staff was less then friendly...

Kara at Faltz is absolutely the BEST. She really knows her plants and was SO helpful to me in making my selections! You won't regret working with her!

Most of the plants I bought from them died. When I bought them they told me they guaranteed their plants for a year. When I tried to get my money back they refused because I had them planted by a professional landscaper, instead of doing it myself.

They had a wide range of landscaping products and cool trees but none of the ones listed on their site that I was looking for. They do have some super impressive 10ft tall column apple trees but they were definitely priced accordingly.

We are disappointed with them. We went for an estimate and said we would be on waiting list and will call us asap. The girl that was in reception seems like she doesn’t know what she’s doing even with simple question. In Short, after a year of waiting, still nothing from them. We even called them 3times and yet zero email. We have a big project for them but we’d rather spend our money with other company. I don’t think a simple answer weather you can do the job or not is hard.

I have placed 3 phone calls asking for a quote on some landscaping...first was almost 4 weeks ago..no one has returned a call. Per the receptionist they are "busy". It's 2016, last I knew an email or text could be placed to management. My money is just as good as the next person. Guess you don't want my business. Very disappointed as you came recommend.

Faltz Landscaping, Inc. was the best thing about my adding an in-laws addition to my home. Kidding aside, the person they sent out to estimate the job and deal with my father-in-laws vision while keeping to a budget, was Kaitlin. She was very professional, a great listener, and delivered exactly what we wanted in a time frame that was imposed by the city to get permitting completed. She's a superstar and Faltz Landscaping, Inc. is great. The guys who came out to do the work were very good at what they do and kept the worksite very clean. The landscaping was beautiful and should last a long time. I would recommend Faltz Landscaping to anyone that needs this type of work done; they are the best!

Very disappointed with this company. I contacted them mid August 2020 and was told that I’d be placed on a list and an estimator would contact me. No response. Another call was placed weeks later. Again, no response. A third call... no response or word from an estimator. Emailed now in spring 2021, and yet again...no response. They seem to do quality work from photos on their website, but their integrity and professionalism are seriously lacking. My money is best spent elsewhere for a landscaping company who at least returns messages.

Outstanding service - helpful from initial planning through perfect execution of a yard for my dog, with rock work, dog-friendly shrubs and trees, sod, and tying it all together in a well-laid-out plan. Every employee I've been helped by has been outstanding. The workers who installed the rock, trees, and sod were careful, skilled and very hardworking, and the project supervisor checked in daily until it was done. I will use them again, definitely.

They provided excellent service at a reasonable price.

In 2020 we had an estimator schedule to give us an estimate on landscaping and water feature and the estimator never showed - no call, no show. This year we thought we would try to give them another shot at estimating a retaining wall job and we were told that the estimators were booked out until beginning of June and to call back then. That doesn't make sense. If I call back then, the estimators could be booked out until the end of June - a neverending cycle of call and be pushed back. We will never do business with Faltz again. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." My trusting in this company was its Faltz, not my faults!

Staff was friendly, knowledgable, took the time to work with us and provide advice. Talked us out of an expensive purchase because it would not have worked well. Manager misquoted us on a tree we intended to buy. When it turned out the price was $150 more than quoted she honored the quoted price. Faltz also has the best selection of higher end landscaping products directly available to consumers my wife and I have found in Anchorage.

Having purchased a small tree for a new house asked the staff if they could plant 7 1gallon peonies for me. I said yes to the fee of $400as I am not a local resident and have no tools here. Seemed pretty steep to dig 7 one gallon holes but I needed the help. After planting I asked the two workers to spread 6 sacks of mulch around the 3 x 6 planter bed. They did. It took less than 10 minutes. I removed the trash to their truck as the mulch was spread. NO more than 10 minutes. Maybe even 5 minutes

So I get a call that says the workers did more work than was expected and they wanted another $170 to cover extra work.
$85/ hour for 2 men.

I know prices are high everywhere. But this gouge is really just too much. Really? $170 for les than 10 minute?

I will never shop here again. The greed is just too much

I have dealt with Faltz the last two seasons. 2023 they planted four trees for us. Unfortunately, one of them did not survive our long winter, so they are going to replace it. The fruit trees that they planted last year are doing beautifully. Yesterday they started a backyard landscaping job for us. They finished in two days, and it is absolutely beautiful!

Design was great, plants grew into planned spaces. Guarantees honored.

Just had two 5 ft Lilacs planted in our back yard. The crew was terrific. Made sure the best side was facing the direction we wanted. Placed them in exactly to best spots. Made sure they were planted well and watered and explained future care. They did a nice job of cleaning up (which seems to be rare these days) and they were very friendly and polite. I'm very, very happy!

We had so many mature trees with above ground roots that we needed landscaping help with. They did a fantastic job designing landscape and implementing it. The finished project exceeded our expectations!

Visited for the first time around mid-late summer last year and was surprised at the selection of healthy plants. I’ve even talked with helpful staff about various things on growing certain varieties in Alaska for our lawn.

I’m eagerly waiting on them to open this season so that I can take some home.

Don't assume, like I did, that the landscapers at Faltz know what they're doing. My yard had a twenty-five-year-old timber retaining wall that had reached its expected end of life. I planned to replace it with something more durable, like concrete blocks. A landscape architect from Faltz recommended a stacked stone wall, and I agreed. A month and thousands of dollars later I had a beautiful wall, for awhile. With each freeze thaw cycle the wall moved. Five years later it was clearly failing. When I contacted Faltz, the owner and the landscape architect looked at the wall and essentially said that failures occasionally occur. They speculated that adding drainage might help. Faltz didn't offer to repair it. I hired a civil/structural engineer to give an opinion. He cited several construction mistakes (for example, stones that are too small, lack of gravel below and behind the wall, absence of geotextile fabric, and absence of drainage tubing). I got estimates from other landscape contractors, and they cited many of the same design mistakes. Now I have to pay to have a five-year-old stacked stone wall removed, and pay to build a new wall.

This is an update 1 year after my original review to again praise the work and expediency of Faltz Team and in particular, Storm Faltz. When our project was completed last fall, some of the tall grasses we wanted were unavailable as it was late in the season. However, the Faltz Team had installed place-holder plants to be replaced the following spring. When I contacted Faltz, I was directed to Storm Faltz, son of the owner, Jamie Faltz. Storm was fully aware of the need to replace the place-holder plants and arranged to meet us to discuss and confirm what grasses we wanted and where they would be placed. Shortly after our meeting, a crew was dispatched along with Storm who coached us on plant locations and outlined the crew. Not only did they replace the place-holder plants, they planted several extra, types of grasses that significantly enhanced the overall appearance of our yard. Furthermore, Storm reminded us to call him if any of the new plants died or became distressed so they could again replace them!

We again were extremely pleased with the professionalism, neatness and knowledge of the entire Faltz Team and highly recommend them as your landscape designers, installers and maintainers. Thanks Storm!

Original Review: My wife and I solicited quotes from 3 other landscaping companies before settling on Faltz Landscaping. The 3 others met us at our home and listened to our ideas and took measurements of the areas to be landscaped. Within a week we received quotes from two of the other companies that simply parroted back our ideas without any design drawings or detail. The third company jerked us around for 3 additional weeks before telling us they were too busy and gave us a baseless and wildly expensive “estimate” for next year.

In contrast, Josie Blumenthal from Faltz came to our house twice to sketch the area, take dimensions and develop our design ideas. On the 2nd trip she took aerial photos with a drone and prepared a concept design based upon our ideas. At our third meeting, Ben Brown, Faltz Landscape Architect, who was mentoring Josie, joined the Team and proposed some new design concepts that we liked a lot. We signed a contract and within a week the Faltz crew was on site.

The 3-man crew were experienced, polite and professional. Most of the time while the work was in progress, either Josie, Ben or both were on site, assuring the work was in conformance with the plan. At the end of every workday, the crew cleaned our yard and driveway. Three days later the work was complete.

The final product far exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with the entire Faltz Team, especially Ben and Josie. We felt that Faltz provided a superior product and good value. We’d highly recommend Faltz for your landscape needs.
