Constraction reviews in Wasilla, Alaska

John and the guys did a great job on my work I had them do.. highly recommend Fantastic job
Thanks again John

These guys were punctual and professional. Pilings look great, and John was willing to go above and beyond to find the best solution to bringing pilings to our STEEP bluff. Our retaining wall and deck are AMAZING!

They won't return my call

They did an excellent job of expanding and redoing my driveway.

I would rate no stars if possible. I had $20,000 + of work done in July 2022. We did not drive on the driveway for several months to allow it time to cure. It never cured, and remained sticky and the surface would easily crumble. Once the weather was cooler you could drive on it and not damage the surface. Summer of 2023 the driveway surface raveled all the time and you had to be super careful not to turn the wheels or stop too suddenly as the surface would crumble away. I called Shorty's cell phone and the company number 6+ times, left messages, posted photos and asked for a call back on their FaceBook page and NEVER got a response. Same thing this summer - weather over 60 degrees causes the surface to ravel and crumble away, and below the stones that peel off the surface is shiny and looks wet. Its sticky to the touch. They have told me that they are too busy to abide by their warranty promise, and that they will eventually get to me. Jean in the office said that she would send me an email extending the warranty. I have not seen that email yet. I have contacted an attorney to seek equitable resolution.

I specified a thicker D-1 course for the base and thicker pavement for the driving surface on our driveway. June 10, 2025, I got the driveway widened 4 feet more to allow for Travel Trailer parking.

The work was done professionally and I have had no issues so far with curing or drying out of the new pavement. They did a professional job. Don't hesitate to give them a bid on your job.

We interviewed several builders before deciding to go with Brian. Communication throughout the build process was excellent. His attention to building standards was important to us especially when he said he builds every home as if his family would be living in it. We hired an independent inspector (which was not permitted by another builder we interviewed) who consistently commented on the high quality of the work throughout the construction process. We love our new home! Brian and Last Frontier Contracting did not disappoint!

Brian and the team at Last Frontier Contracting delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish on our custom mountain modern home build. Brian was consistently available, professional, and attentive, making what can be a complex process feel smooth and manageable.

The Last Frontier team executed our vision with impressive precision and efficiency. Matthew, Brian’s foreman, was a pleasure to work with—diligent, calm, and always solutions-oriented. Matthew approached every request with a positive "can do" attitude. At the same time, he offered thoughtful suggestions when he saw a better approach, always ensuring the best outcome for us. Each suggestion opened our eyes to solutions that suited our needs even more perfectly.

I sincerely cannot thank this team enough. After interviewing a half dozen contractors over several years before this build, it was clear from the moment we met Brian that Last Frontier Contracting was the team we could trust with the investment of our once-in-a-lifetime custom home.

If you are seeking an Alaska-focused builder adept at combining functionality with beauty, a strong commitment to energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and transparent, honest communication, look no further than Last Frontier Contracting. They are the best choice for your home build.

Great builder easy to communicate with, fast, efficient quality work!

came to pick up the ps4 copy of last frontier, but they said they didn't have it. learn to put what you ACTUALLY HAVE. on marketplace MATE.

Did a extensive addition to our girdwood house adding a new garage and living space above that tied into our existing house. They did a great job on making sure we got what we wanted and completed the work promptly and professionally. I would gladly recommend to anybody looking for this type work!

If you’re looking to build your dream home- Brian is your guy! He’s great to communicate with, and if you can dream it- he’ll work with you to find a way to make it happen! We absolutely love our hangar home!

Brian was great to work with, very organized and attentive. I’m in the construction business and I’ve worked with a lot of builders, Last Frontier is among the top in terms of quality, budget and customer service. I would definitely use him again

We recently moved into our new home built by Last Frontier Contracting LLC. Brian made the process simple and easy from the start. Throughout the build he was always very responsive if any questions arose. He always stayed communicative about the status of the build and provided updates along the way. We are so happy with quality of our new home, truly a representation of high quality standards and craftsmanship. We know who to call for our next project!

I hired Brian because I loved the beautiful workmanship his company provides. Last Frontier Contracting worked hard to create an incredible custom dream home for my family. Communicating with Brian was easy as he made himself available by text, phone call and in person walk through, if I needed it.

Brian built an addition for us in Girdwood. He did an awesome job! The place looks fantastic! He was easy to work with and was very patient with me and my silly questions and sometimes ridiculous requests. I highly recommend him!

Can’t say enough good things about Brian Turner! This is the 4th house my wife and I have had custom built and Brian made the process very easy. We came from Texas and ended up in discussions with 3 different builders total. Brian was the first builder we spoke with and the others didn’t give us that sense of security. We went back to Brian and are so glad we did. Prices were very competitive and excellent workmanship. Brian worked well with us to get us our unique custom home that we wanted. If or when we build in the Valley again, you can bet we will go with Last Frontier Contracting.

We are in love with our hangar home and being able to live with our airplanes! Brian and his crew did an amazing job start to finish. We appreciated the ease of working with Brian. His timeliness and patience with our questions and concerns was made it a positive experience.
100% would recommend building a home with Last Frontier Contracting.

Brian with Last Frontier Contracting LLC went above and beyond for our custom built shop house. Absolutely amazing home and great guy to work with. We had a lot of fun with designing the house with him from start to finish and seeing the home of our dreams come to life for us.
Highly recommend calling him up and getting a meeting with him for your next home build you won’t regret it! 5 stars +

Our company, Bridge Management Services, hired Collins Construction for our first development, Arctic Hardware (True Value) in Wasilla, AK. The loan with the SBA was a nightmare; the process and paperwork before the construction was agonizing. With a short summer, I braced for more problems with the construction of our 12,000 sq ft building...but they didn't happen. Greg and his team know how to run job and get the job done right the first time. We are so grateful...time for more developments.
