I hired Shamrock Electric to come to my home and replace a GFCI outlet and inspect a few others that were not functioning. Initially, the technician, was excellent. He was helpful, quickly identified the issues, replaced two outlets, and tightened a screw o a third, all in under an hour. However, the issues began afterward when I received a bill for $560. I was surprised at this high charge for less than an hour's work replacing two outlets and tightening a screw. When I reached out to Shamrock Electric's accounting department for clarification on how they arrived at $560, they merely restated the work done, which I do not dispute, but refused to provide any detailed breakdown of the charges. They added that scheduling an appointment was a factor in the amount charged. When I attempted further clarification via email, I received no meaningful response. My subsequent phone call ended abruptly when their representative hung up on me, and subsequent calls went directly to voicemail. The company is now threatening to place a lien on my property if I do not pay the bill. I find it unacceptable that a company would conduct business without providing an upfront estimate, refuse to explain how they determined their charges, and treat customers with such disregard after service. This review serves as a caution to others considering Shamrock Electric beware and ensure you receive a clear estimate upfront to avoid a similar experience.
