Have used Higher Ground for a number of years now and have found them to do a good job and to be very affordable. They communicate in advance the days they will show up and if there are any schedule changes. I’ve never once had them not show up when I was expecting them. A rare trait for a business in this day.

Hired Higher Ground Landscaping after having difficulties with a previous landscaping company's billing. Since Higher Ground Landscaping took over the landscaping duties I have had no issues with their service. The communication, quality of work and professionalism has been top notch. I can't complain about their prices either. Glad I was able to find this company via the web.

Very skilled workers and listened to our concerns and answered my many questions. Hunter was very attentive to my needs and accommodated my schedule. I am very happy with both the new irrigation system and new lightening he put in. I highly recommend Higher Ground!!

Hunter and his team were amazing to work with. We did a complete renovation of our landscaping in both our front and backyards and I can't even tell you how pleased we are with the work that Higher Ground completed for us. We were very nervous completing such a large project but Hunter walked us through the entire process and made us feel at ease. He stayed on top of quick communication the entire time. The entire team was friendly, helpful, and did an *amazing* job. Highly highly recommend!

This is a wonderful company to work with! The crew is always on time and do a great job on the yard. If you have an extra job for them, the crew immediately takes care of it and a lot of time will do more than you ask. Very professional company and I appreciate their reminder emails.

I hired Higher Ground landscaping over a year ago to help out with our lawn, we have a front yard lawn and rock landscape to the side and back. The only place we have grass is the front. So they start their routine maintenance, everything is ok.

Last fall, I noticed our grass begin to dry out and turn yellow, not the die off from the transition from Summer grass to Winter, but a complete and total die out. Over the course of a few weeks it got worse, but the maintenance guys kept coming and I didn't get any sort of call or alert that my sprinklers might not be working and that my lawn was dead.

I'm assuming they want that reseeding money, so they won't tell me until my lawn is completely bone dry. Fine, I give in and ask for a sprinkler guy and a re-seed.

They quote, *possible* sprinkler head replacement, work to shut the water off, reseed, set the sprinkler timers, and a few check ins to make sure that the grass is growing in, because I've established, the routine guy probably doesn't get paid to give updates.

I asked them that for this job specifically, if they could please call me when they are coming out so I can show the guy the problem areas on the lawn and open the garage so they can access the sprinkler controls, because remember, I also asked for sprinkler help. I wait at home all day and I don't get a call.

I email the dispatcher and she's says the guy already went that day to turn water off to my house and proceeds to send me photos of the house where he turned the water off at, not my house ( Something that could have been avoided if he had called).

So now we've established that they don't follow up on their work unless you are also watching.

Ok, they have the owner come out with the dispatcher to check my sprinklers. We find out, they don't have power coming to them, it's embarrassing, but I get it fixed and keep them off per their directions for reseeding.

For every part of the reseed, I again ask that they call me when they're at my house, not for routine, just this job. On the day they're are supposed to set the timers, I don't get a call. So I call, "Hey the team didn't ask for garage access to set the sprinkler timers", work I was quoted and had paid for. The dispatcher tells me to do it. Ok, that's weird but I do it anyway.

(This is the second instance of HG not following up with their crew and now I'm doing their work)

While this is going on the only grass on my house is non-existent, dry and dead, there are no weeds either. So on a routine service day, when the landscapers stop by, they only work on my neighbors yard and not mine. "That's fair " I think, " there's nothing to do with no grass, they're probably skipping maintenance".

Then I get a charge for routine maintenance for that week. I email them and say something like, "Hey why did I get charged for routine? I saw the workers last week and they skipped my yard, I thought it was intentional". And I'm immediately put down with, " no it's not" and "yes they did". This is the 3rd instance of them not following up with their team to make sure work was getting done (4th if you count that they watched my lawn die) but instead of even trying to hear me out, I get shut down. So I stopped working with them, I even paid their work estimate which included work they hadn't done yet and the work they didn't do and asked me to do instead.

The owner emails me to talk about the "confusion" and I don't respond. Then again responds to my review. Which is nice, I wish they cared to follow up when my lawn was dying and when they were set to do work at my house.

Javi and the crew did an excellent job for shrub/tree trimming and cleaning up! Very professional, work was neatly done, and courteous crew. Brianna in the office has been responsive and accommodating, and we appreciate the reasonable fees! I definitely recommend Higher Ground and will be referring them to friends as well.

We hired Higher Ground Landscaping to redo our backyard. Their quote was very reasonable for our needs. They installed new plants, lighting, and a walkway and I am very happy with the results. Communication has been amazing, very responsive to our emails and patient to make sure we understand everything. I will definitely be using Higher Ground Landscaping for my future landscaping needs.

After searching for someone to simply return a call or show up when scheduled, I finally came across Hunter and his great company. Although I had to wait a couple of weeks to get on their schedule, he sent Brian and crew to handle my backyard cleanup project. They were thorough, responsive, and professional. They also cleaned up the clippings which fell in my neighbors yards. Great job! Quite happy!

HGL recently installed a Yardzen landscape design for the front yard and back patio of my Scottsdale townhouse. Hunter has worked with Yardzen designs before and the job began and ended on schedule. The foreman, Romeo, and his assistant were friendly and efficient, arriving on time and cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each shift. Despite a couple of alterations needed to accommodate patio geometry and HOA rules, the final product was faithful to the original design and has resulted in a beautiful improvement to the property and admiring comments from neighbors. I would recommend HGL to anyone looking to upgrade a similar property where quality workmanship and reliable performance is the main objective.

0 Stars. Let's start with the facts: our water utility bill for the year 2024 well using Higher Ground is currently $29,112.53. Our yearly budget is $8,800. Numbers don't lie. As an HOA, we engaged this company with high hopes, but unfortunately, we’ve faced several challenges. Despite their claims of a new and improved team, we’ve experienced ongoing issues affecting our community and water bill. Our most recent water bill has reached an alarming $7,000 for one month, all while their landscaping team has been managing our landscaping and irrigation. With less than 80 homes in our small community and just one grassfield area, it’s alarming to see such high costs. We hope to find a more effective solution moving forward. In addition, they have blown leaves and debris onto homeowners' yards and cars. Yes, we did have a few leaks and breaks, but that still doesn't account for their poor service, and now our community is paying for their poor quality. PLZ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! KEEP LOOKING!

I had a minor issue with my irrigation system. I contacted multiple companies, no one would return my calls/messages. These guys cane out within 48 hours and solved the issue immediately. In a situation where they could have easily tried to get more money out of me, they did not. The gentleman was on time honest, and efficient. Highly recommended based on my interaction.

I just had Higher Ground replace my existing pathway lights and install new accent lights to my front yard. It is amazing, so happy with the work. Hunter came out and asked what I wanted and I went with his recommendations. The installer David was awesome as well. Highly recommend them both.

Higher Ground did a fantastic job! They were quick to give me a bid and once I accepted, they scheduled the job. Very efficient system. I was so happy to arrive in AZ to a neatly trimmed front and back yard. Can’t wait to sign up for monthly yard maintenance.

Communication/work ethic/reliability are just a few of the accolades that stand out. Recently we had our front yard water lines replaced, I had expected this to be a two day project however Caleb and Samuel arrived early and did an awesome job, completing the project in one day!! I highly recommend Higher Ground if you want things done right the first time!!

Higher Ground has been providing my landscape maintenance for a few years now, so I was familiar with their excellent work when I asked them to install new landscaping and lighting in my yard. The results were better than hoped for. We selected new plants that fit in with my existing landscape, they brought in new gravel to fill in the many thin spots, and they installed modern-looking spotlights and path lights. My yard has a very put-together feel now, and it isn't unusual for people walking by to comment on how nice it looks. I can't recommend Higher Ground highly enough - they do fantastic work!

This company has given me a great satisfaction with the quality of their work and reliability. I appreciate their manager Brianna's prompt and professional service and her courteous response. I had turf laid by Higher ground landscaping and Hunter was a pleasure to work with! He was always on time, gave an honest estimate, and they completed in a timely manner!
Also when the project was done, the backyard was left clean and tidy with no work added for me to clean up!
