We had such a great experience with this company. It started with the estimate where there was absolutely zero sales pitches or pushy "hire us now" pressure. They showed up asked what we wanted done and gave us their price. A three man crew showed up on time and went over the work to be done and asked if I had any questions before they started. They made sure I was aware of the type of tree I had, its characteristics for growth so we know what to expect as it continues to get bigger. The crew was very personable and hard working. The trimming work they did looks amazing and they cleaned everything up leaving our yard looking great. We will definitely have them back when needed.

I continue to use Heartwood. Howard and his team have taken care of multiple properties for me over the years and they have treated me right. There were some dips in customer service in pervious years, but these days it's pretty stellar.

Most recently, Kacey has been fertilizing and providing a probiotic treatment for my Indian laurel hedges. Not only does the hedge not look distressed in the summer, but they are probably the prettiest in the neighborhood.
Kacey, was on time, polite, on task, and listened to my needs before starting. His communication was pretty great, informing me of what he needed for a successful completion.

Brittani, the office manager, is simply amazing; her communication and setting clear expectations is second to none.

Extremely friendly and professional. We had our tree removed due to root rot that was in the early stages. During the estimate they were very transparent and even said that the tree, with love and care, could live another 3-5 years. We felt it better to plant a new tree. I highly recommend Heartwood and will be using them for all our tree related services.

I recently hired Heartwood Tree Care for a significant tree reduction project, and the experience was seamless from start to finish.
The process began with a thorough on-site visit where Randy took the time to discuss my specific goals for the property. He completely understood my intent for the space and gave me total confidence that Heartwood was the right crew for the job. Randy handled the proposal professionally, and after a quick follow-up to address a few questions, we landed on a very fair price and got on the schedule.
When it came time for the actual work, Will and his crew were top-notch. They executed the plan exactly as written with zero deviations. They arrived well-prepared and worked in a timely, deliberate manner to reduce seven mature trees. Their precision has opened up the canopy perfectly, setting the stage for my upcoming Bermuda sod installation.

Update: Heartwood crew (not salespeople, estimate provider) did a WONDERFUL job trimming my beloved tree!! I took off two stars because I asked them to leave wood chips, but they dumped a (literal) mountain of other trimming— including WET leaves from someone’s recent citrus tree trimmings (see pics) INCLUDING buckets of rotting fruit. - pic from other side of the hill…. Not nice (especially for a single Mom in 100F heat!!). Tried emailing them— NO REPLY. Tried to offer “free mulch” on OfferUp and Nextdoor— nobody wanted the wet leaves/wet mulch.

First of all some guys showed up at my house with no idea what they were supposed to do. Because of course the guy that comes out to quote a price and is knowledgable doesn’t do the work or even supervise the work. They just show up with some tree trimming gear like “uh what are we doing here?” That’s kind of weird.
So I told them they were to remove a tree and the stump. They did a good job. They were fast.
My main issue is that they left my yard a mess. They cut the tree down and then cleaned the yard. I thought it was weird and thought maybe they forgot about the stump. So I double checked they were going to remove it and he said yeah they were going to. So they ground it down then just left. I think they forgot (because they had no idea what the job even was when they showed up) and so they didn’t want to clean the yard again so just left it a mess. I had to go out after with my little leaf blower and spend half an hour cleaning up their mess.

Heartwood was recommended to me by another company whose opinion I trusted. I got a quote I found to be acceptable and made an appointment to have the work done. Because the property where the work was done is not my primary residence, I did not see the tree until several weeks later. I reached out and was told the same crew would go back to fix it. No way! The same crew who butchered my tree? I gave two stars because my other tree came out ok.

I was referred to Heartwood because of his great service. They cancelled the first appointment and we rescheduled. Howard the owner came out to my home to inspect the work needed on a Friday afternoon. Let me know that I would see a proposal / estimate on Monday. After a week I called for a status on the estimate. Was told by the receptionist that she did not see it in the file but would message Howard. She stated he was behind and was probably still working on it. Two weeks later I sent an inquiry through the website for an update. Received a response that someone would get back to me the next day. Now another week has gone by, still no estimate which I need to asume is my answer. Howard just does not want the work. To give you an idea, I have 20 plus trees on my property.
