If I could give 0 stars I would. Indeed starting a new business is not easy but contract terms can’t be changed without both parties signature. We signed a six month contract with zombie pool service which states chemical maintenance will be provided by Zombie with the only mention of termination being “.Zombie Pool Service reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns….”.

Furthermore, our first invoice stated “chemical service includes test water chemistry and & make necessary chemical adjustments to ensure a healthy, balanced body of water” and “free service calls”. During his visits, I asked about the navigator hose constantly curling which went unresolved and questioned if the variable speed pump was running long enough.

Zombie is a one person business and twice Jake has called in sick. The first time we said, don’t worry our pool is ok we got it covered. The second time we said the same and the next day, algae appeared. When I contacted Jake, he told me where to buy the chemicals and how to put them in. I replied I know he wasn’t feeling well but that is why we hired Zombie. Jake responded saying he was sick from all the heat, can’t be responsible for providing all the chemicals and making all these calls for nothing and he didn’t understand why people expected that. He did return that night to dump in some chemicals. Shortly thereafter, we received a ‘clarification’ email which states Zombie is now charging for extra visits and other chemicals not included in the chemical service. I explained to Jake this was a change in our contract and thus he voided the contract.

During the process of interviewing other pool services, we were told that the RPMs were set too low and the variable speed pump was not running long enough (which cleared up the hose curling). Two of the three services guaranteed our pool would have not have algae and if it did, they would pay for the chemicals. Since Zombie is now charging us for those chemicals and any additional visits to remove the algae, we felt Zombie was no longer a good fit. Even though we had only received service for two months and one week, we said we would pay for the full month of August and that he need not return. Additionally, we stated the refund for the remaining months could be paid in three equal installments. Since Jake never called back, we stated we would look for the first installment in one week. He replied his bank was cutting a check. The partial check arrived return, receipt requested along with an invoice. The invoice states we are being charged early termination fee and for processing bank fees and for 20% of the remaining months.

I definitely have a Zombie pool. This thing has been exceptionally gross and Jake at Zombie Pool Service has figuratively brought it back from the dead and taught me (a very slow and confused learner) basic pool maintenance for the times he can't be there. Always kind, always accommodating, always successful-- I cannot recommend this company enough.

We found out about Jake and Zombie Pool Service from our local neighborhood web site. We have always been big supporters of our local businesses and our small business owners. Well, we were not disappointed and we have now found our new, go to pool service. I reached out to Jake to get a quote on draining and acid washing our 30,000 gallon diving pool. Within 5 days of that first e-mail to him, our pool is drained and sparkling blue. Jake is very knowledgeable about pools, is on time and follows through with his promises. When other pool companies would not respond to my e-mails, Jake did and he did a fantastic job. If you are looking for a monthly pool service, one time cleaning or any type of pool repair, Jake is your man. Thanks Jake!

Before I had Alpine Turff install my turf, I spent 2 weeks getting quotes from 8 other companies. Alpine Turff's quote was roughly half of what my other quotes were and $7K cheaper that the closest quote. Price was not everything. Their products are made in the USA and with the same warranty that others had. The installation crew really knew what they were doing and finished my 2K sqft of tuff in 2 days. They were careful to protect my existing cool deck and their cleanup when finished was great. Patrick is a really nice guy and very accommodating. If you don't choose this company, you are throwing your money away.

Patrick was great to work with. He's knowledgeable, responsive, and personable. He came out for an estimate and answered all our questions. He provided a quote and design mock up a few days later as promised. Once we were ready to get the job started, he was able to schedule us within the next couple of weeks. The project was completed within two days and we couldn't be happier with the finished work, not to mention our neighbors love it too!

Alpine Turf did an excellent job from the first phone call to installation. Owner Patrick has great knowledge and experience which helped us understand the process and make the best choices. His consistently thorough and accurate project documentation has built him a stellar reputation with our HOA making our approval process quick and painless. Our turf is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We initially had a great experience with this company and felt excited moving forward with the project. Justin was knowledgeable during the sales process and emphasized that the turf would drain well, which was important to us.

This was a major investment for our family — nearly $18,000 — so we expected the installation and follow-through to reflect that.

A lot of reviews are written right after installation, so I wanted to share our experience now that we’ve lived with the project for about a year.

Over time, multiple issues started showing up. After normal hose use, water collects in the middle section of the turf and the area stays wet and soft for hours afterward. We also had areas around the corners where the turf began dipping/sinking and needed to be refilled.

In addition, after a heavy Arizona rain, some of the pavers and salt finish along the side of the house started falling apart.

What’s been most disappointing has been the lack of follow-through afterward. We were told someone would come back out to inspect the work, but that never happened. I’ve also reached out multiple times regarding the remaining concerns and have struggled to get a response.

I understand that issues can happen with any project, but communication, accountability, and standing behind the work are just as important as the initial install.

Super fast and beautiful experience. Would recommend and use in other projects.
