Five stars for accommodating an urgent request - the team worked well together and were very efficient… From tall
palm to the palo verde care and thinning, hedge shaping and debris removal. Thx so much. The only thing I would comment for improvement is regarding irrigation. Timers were set for season, but system not inspected. I learned quick to correct some minor issues since after the grounds were cleared I noticed them. lol. Overall- highly recommend 👍 K

I called and was told by JC he could come out on a Saturday to do an estimate, then when I hadn't heard anything I text him and didn't get a response. I finally called and was told he was out of town but he could do the weekend after and again he didn't show up and didn't respond to my messages. Good for them that they aren't hurting for business, however it's terrible customer service to not follow through.

We needed the fall leaves cleaned up on our cul-de-sac lot, 13,000 sq. ft of mostly gravel. We called 2 companies and received an estimate the next day from First Option. We waited for the other company to give us a quote but nobody showed. So we called First Option and had them do the job. Glad we did, they cleaned up the leaves including those that blew on our neighbor's gravel lawn, and went well beyond even that! They did a quick weeding of our flower bed (it's a small one) cleaned in and around our garden beds and, for a very nominal fee, mowed our lawn area. They did it thoroughly, quickly and well. THANK YOU First Option! We have already recommended you to others and will be contacting you in the future for more work.
Oh, by the way, the other company showed up just as First Option was leaving, job complete.

First Option Landscaping was to remove between two and three tons of gravel and rocks that I needed removed.
They had to cancel the first time because it rained the scheduled day. On the day of the reschedule they contacted me saying that they were there to do the work, which they were at the property. I left the agreed upon amount of cash in an envelope with the agreed amount of money for them at that time. When I got home I went to check and see on the agreed upon work there was still more than 15 gallons of gravel/rocks left. I then racked up the remaining gravel into a pile and was told an inspector would take a look. I have not heard from them since. If I only left them 90% of the agreed upon money you can be assured that they would make that a priority to get resolved. All I asked was to complete the job as agreed upon.

Very thorough job at a great price!

My husband hired this company to trim some oleander trees in our front yard, and I’m beyond disappointed. The first problem with this company is that they do not stick to their original quote price. First job we hired them for was a small hedge. Originally quoted $75. After the job was finished, ended up paying $150 because it was “bigger than expected.” We happened to give them another chance for whatever reason to do our oleanders. Original quote was $250 for three trees and it was also agreed upon that they would spray for weeds. The day comes and the job is “finished”. We’re told we owe $275 because once again the job was “bigger than expected.” Not only did we get up charged but they didn’t even spray for weeds and tried to charge an extra $75 for that to be done. After some back and forth they came back the next day to finish off the weeds for free as was originally the deal. But my oleanders are destroyed. I’m glad they grow back eventually, but for the next few months I’m stuck with this eyesore. Save yourself $200, go buy a hedge trimmer at Home Depot and do it yourself. That’s seriously the extent of skill of this company. Would never ever recommend or use their services again.

I definitely recommend this service provider. They have great customer service. They are consistent with their care and pay attention to detail. Also, they are affordable and consider the customer’s needs and budget.

Owner came out and spot sprayed the weeds today with a new batch of herbicide, states that if they don't die off this time he will come back and hand pick them. I must say, he has gone above what others would do to make this right.
*** I will be updating this review after they come to spray again; owner states that the herbicide was a bad batch, so he will come out and spray again.

rocks displaced and put back: no, there were large bare spots that I raked back in place
weeds sprayed: he said yes, but said if they did not die out in a few days to call back and he would redo.
weeds did not die so I contacted and he came back several days later. I requested blue marker to be used, he complied. the yard is now blue, but not completely done and weeds are still alive. there is no evidence of weed spray being done after two tries.

The Surprise Guys maintain my front yard once a month. They always let me know when they are coming and they come exactly when they say. They do good work and are reliable.

The Surprise Guys are highly qualified professionals. They have taken care of our yard for a couple months now. They're always on time and work clean. I can't recommend them enough!😊
