I have just witnessed one of these company trucks swerving in and out of lanes unable to hold a straight line. Either completely drunk or mentally insane, I captured this continuous behavior for multiple miles on my dashcam and if the owner would like to see it I may provide. I am actually mindblown nobody was hit because he could not drive straight for 5 seconds… Most people noticed and gave him about 200ft of space, this is dangerous and unprofessional.

Never ending reminder of the POOR workmanship. 6" deep 40' into the yard. Don't forget about the sinking pavers due to POOR compaction.

not happy that they have a 120 day warranty, in very fine print.
I have their response to my request to replace dead shrubs.
Happy to share with you. I asked for a few plants to be replaced before 120 days and no response to this request. Buyer beware.

I gave them four stars because eventually they hooked me up with Abe who was an excellent project manager. The first project manager was MIA and never did follow up on any of the emails that he was cc'ed on. The designer was responsive. He was flexible when the HOA changed their mind about some spec's. If you are proactive and stay on top of the project they are OK. The guys who are out in the field doing the actual work are good and Abe is 5 stars.

I reached out to them and it took several days for them to call me back. They said that hey were too busy to do any work and could not start any projects for at least 7 weeks. They couldn't do my yard because it had flood irrigation and they were uncomfortable with the complexity of Flood Irrigation despite it being in most of Central Phx, Arcadia, and Biltmore. They said they would do any projects without new Surveys and Engineering reports, despite already having some less than 1 year old. They also would not do any work without going through an elaborate planning and design phase. I suppose they are great if you are building a house from scratch and have endless cash to spend on design and plans but they are not for you if you already know what you need done.

My experience continues to be a nightmare. They had to redo all of the pavers due to poor workmanship; they moved when you walked on them. They installed trees I told them I didn't want. There were drainage issues, as well, which killed two sets of trees and all of the landscaping on one side of the yard. The biggest problem continues to be discovery of cheap materials that have had to be replaced over the last 6 years-from drip system to sprinker heads to lines used for the BBQ (installed the wrong kind). I just had to replace the pool pump and several accessories as well.

I've been very happy with Sonoan Landesign. Sonoran was able to turn a new, bare lot into a wonderfully landscaped front and back yard whihc has turned into a pretty special place for me and my family. We are constantly receiving good comments from the neighbors on our yard when we have people over. The follow-up by Sonoran on items and various details has been excellent and the service from Travis McFarlin, has been outstanding. This element of customer service, which is hard to find in today's hustle-bustle environment, is alive and well at Sonoran Landesign. The excellent customer service from Sonoran Landesign certainly reinforced my decision to go with Sonoran. Sonoran Landesign comes with my highest recommendation.

Sonoran was hired to do the landscaping at our property. From the begging we had a lot of issues.The workmanship on the job is very unprofessional, almost like it’s the first time they’ve done landscaping.

The travertine was laid crooked and uneven. They’ve been out 3 times and it’s still not right.

The grill they Installed was beat up and one of there guys actually cooked on it.

A brick boarder around the grass was laid off at an angle as well, had to come back and lay it properly.

12 drips lines were buried under the dirt no plants in sight just watering the earth.

Irrigation box had a leak in it the 3/4” T bracket wasn’t snug

Do not hire these guys terrible.... the list goes on and on...

I was very happy with the design work of Sonya Saner. She listened and I felt that she was interested in my project as much as I was.
I found all the workmen to be very respectful and competent. I also found Tricia to be extremely helpful when I needed plants replaced. I just wish the warranty had
been longer than 120 days as this summer heat can be brutal.

Working with Travis McFarlin and his team at Sonoran Land Design was the best experience of our house renovation. We love our outdoor space. My husband is a business owner and he is very empathetic yet critical of other mid size businesses, and he feels Sonoran Landesign was especiallycommunicative, organized and responsive, characteristics he really values. Not only did our designer manage the process from design to demo to rebuild thoroughly, but he also did much of it while we were away for the summer, so we depended on his consistent communication to keep us up to date on progress. They understood the concept we wanted for our property and was able to create a perfect backyard to fit our lifestyle, growing family and budget. To meet our deadline, Our designer showed up on nights and weekends – long after the install crew had left – to finish up the final stages of the project himself. He was organized, timely, extremely transparent in his process and provided ample documentation so that there was never a time when we were surprised or our expectations were not met. He also went above and beyond the scope of his responsibility to provide friendly advice on how to fix other problems we encountered at the house. If you have any more questions, feel free to come find us in our awesome backyard sitting by the red brick fireplace.

One word - Outstanding! Worked with Oscar on a fantastic plan for both our front and backyard. These guys know what customer service is all about. Can't wait to see the installed product. Sonoran Landesign earned their rating, especially with Oscar on their team. Great customer service and definitely recommend doing business with them.

We had such a great experience with Sonoran Landesign. We worked with Sonia for the design of our front yard and back yard. Her attention to detail and personalization of the vision we had for our yard exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this company, you will not be disappointed.

I had originally given a very poor grade to Sonoran, mainly because it seemed as if nothing was getting done, and customer response was awful. As I see it now, most of the issues were due to current supply chain problems, unavailability of concrete for pools, not enough workers, no materials for pavers, or to make pergola. No drivers to get pergola here.
I learned patience really is a virtue..
Our pool, landscape, pergola project is now wrapping up, and I am really happy with final results. Yes, there are a few issues, but Sonoran is on top of them and getting everything done. With regards to customer service,; it is not perfect, but it is a lot better. I think many companies could do better in interacting with customers; quicker response times to questions, being pro-active in reaching out with information, making suggestions that improve project appearance and workflow. However, Sonoran really improved in customer service over thee last year, so kudos to them.
In summary, I would hire them again, and we have, as we are adding a few small add-on projects. It is hard to find perfect when the work is outdoors and you have to rely on subcontractors and city officials to stay on a timeline, But Sonoran did well.

A couple of weeks ago we had a component go-bad on our pool equipment/cleaning unit that was installed approximately 3 yrs ago. I contacted Jason and he responded immediately with covering the cost of the replacement part and installed it all at no cost to me. Thanks Jason!

Our experience with Sonoran Landesign was absolutely wonderful. They did a fantastic job on our landscaping. We could not have been happier through the whole project. From beginning to end everyone at the company has been professional, caring and friendly. Sara (designer)

We are so pleased with the final design. Parker and Abe delivered. I’m a hands on experienced NW gardener and obviously am clueless about plantings and design in this desert climate. Those 2 listened, educated me, let me be involved in every step and the final product is exactly what I wanted. Steve the pool guy was knowledgeable, efficient and extremely responsive. I think the most impressive part of our experience was how fast they completed the work. Sonoran swarms projects with large crews of extremely hard workers who are also neat, tidy and polite. Our job , once started went really fast and it was so fun to watch the plan unfold. Couldn’t be happier!

Our new yard turned out fantastic thanks to the great people at Sonoran Landesign. Lee did an outstanding job of designing the entire yard from the landscaping, water falls, fire pit and location of the spa. His recommendations were spot on. Alvin and his crew of masons and landscapers are very hard working and professional. You can tell they have a lot of experience. They all have a great attitude and do all they can to please the customer. Something hard to find in today’s business environment. It is a real pleasure working with them.
